  1. How it sits right now. Whole braking assembly, handle bars, spindles, hubs will be installed tomorrow. Next week its back end time. http://imgur.com/cJ99tjb
  2. Yes the dust caps were on. I found some random spacers in the box and they fit like a glove so I guess that was it.
  3. Hello, sorry for not being on recently been busy with work. Update is a arms spindles hubs and shocks are going on today. Idk why I'm getting all this negative feedback. First of all it will be completed. Once I get something in my head I wont give up until I see it through. Second, where are you getting those prices on a swing arm. I just ordered a +4 round carrier style for 250 new. Also need help, while installing the a arms the top a arm looks like it has a lot of space. Am I missing a space of some sort? I'll post a pic in a couple.
  4. These are alba just fyi. It says they come with new bushing installed.
  5. I'm telling you man this thing takes alot of force to move.
  6. Okay, Ill do that thanks.
  7. Hey, So I recently ordered +2 +1 a arms im installing them today. On their website it says to use the stock dust caps so I did but it barelyt fits in the bracket and thats with a little bending. Anyways I got them installed and tightened up, the a arms wont move up and down without some force. Mind you these havent been greased, didnt want to do that until I knew I had everything set up right. Any ideas? http://imgur.com/nXBm3ap,XVrleVj
  8. No wife or kids the banshee will fill that void. I have to do it before another relationship because they suck the money out of you even more with very little return.
  9. Mood killers lol
  10. Lol you're all just jealous you don't have the skills or eye hand coordination to pull a maneuver like this off.
  11. I will never sell!
  12. Haha, everything about my build is going to be tough.
  13. As title says, let me know what you got.
  14. I don't really have a budget I have assumptions but they only go so far. We will all go through this journey together lol
  15. Speaking of that blaster any little gadgets I can swap off of that to the banshee anything universal? Don't flame just asking. And okay getting alot of flak on buying a used engine off eBay, I'll just buy the cases and build one. Engione wont be for atleast 2 months anyways, builing a roller first. I really appreciate thr suggestions and advice im just one of those people that once I have an idea in my head I have to see it through. I'm young money will come and go.
  16. I have a dream!!!!
  17. Yeah I see what you mean, but as far as buying a used motor off eBay, as long as it ran and had no case damage what would I have to lose, I'd buy a stocker off ebay maybe use it until it died and then send it out. As far as the little stuff I'm, finding it easier to just buy the whole assemblies used(the little stuff)
  18. Deadbeat I downloaded the manual for the banshee, and I also have other quads including a blaster so for the most part I could use that as a reference. I could rebuild the engine myself but I'm kindve leaning towards someone else taking care of it. Who knows maybe if I find a decent used stock engine I'll just ride it for awhile until it's time for a rebuild and do the engine upgrades then. So many options my brain is fried lol
  19. What's going to cost me that much money? My first problem was the actual availability of banshees in my area, sure there are some but they are either pieces of trash or look like clown drag mobiles(no offense to anyone who is into that sort of riding) and they cost around 2500 for anything even remotely appealing. Most bikes that have any work it seems are all geared towards drag. I honestly just became frustrated trying to find the perfect one so I said fuck it and decided to start from scratch. Realistically running the numbers its only going to be a couple grand more give or take if I bought a new. Plus I just think it would be cool to say I build the whole thing myself lol
  20. I'm an environmental engineer. Well If i bought used from eBay i'd do a standard rebuild. And I didn't want to start with a roller or complete bike, I would've torn it down anyways and knowing me would've replaced everything on it. Figured I start fresh.
  21. Just an update the frame will be here by Thursday, sending right over to get powder coated. Thinking of doing black frame with orange plastics and orange a-arms. I decided to cancel my bundle deal on the +2 a-arms/elka stage 3's and go with LT american star arms because why not. Going to work from front to back and then up. So Monday I'll be ordering the whole braking assembly plus hubs and spindles. Question, with the steering stem what do I need besides the handle bar mounts to attach it to the frame? Also another thought, I've been searching ebay for engines last couple of a days. Really not finding any used ones for a price that would allow me to go full rebuild serval reasonably. Seen a couple 421's already rebuilt for like 1500, any thoughts on that?
  22. why wouldn't the banshee front master power the yfz450 calipers?
  23. That's a great idea I'll do that. Direct bolt on with the new cylinder calipers and rotors? So obviously I'll need a yfz450 right handlebar set up(master cylinder) with the yfz450 master cylinder for the rear also?
  24. Okay I'll find him, thanks brosef I'll start adding pics once the boxes start rolling in.
  25. Thanks oldskool that was helpful I think the brake system(minus pads and lines), the seat, the engine and stator will be the only thing I'll be buying used on this bike. Oh and the frame and harness.
