That would surely make the noise im hearing. Never messed with cranks much on these. Just top ends and add ons. This is a “splitting of the case” job I’m assuming? Ive split cases before just never dealt with a crank

Hey guys. Here’s what happened. Driving home a while back, 6th gear pegged for about 30 seconds, then wheels lock up and I come to a skidding halt. Tore it down, and nothing was moving, pistons, crank, kick starter, nothing. Oiled the cylinders, played with the crank and eventually everything was rotating as it should, in neutral. Once in gear, no movement again. Got the wheels to rotate in gear eventually, compression good, all seems well. So the whole quad seemed ok aside from some internal scarring maybe that I couldn’t see. I never went deeper than removing the head aside from the case covers and external stuff. Put it all back together, flushed the case three times with oil, and nothing came out. Clean oil, no metal. I said “this thing is ready to run”! Put it all back together with new gaskets and seals for the head(pro-design). I fired it up, and instantly knew something was off. It has a very scary sound coming from the case. It sounds as if it’s rotating with no oil. Just like a hollow metal whirling sound. A lot of white smoke coming from the right pipe and none from the left.(crank seal?). Kick starter actually binded up once during the startup but not again, but it’s never done that before either. I was pissed after all those hours of wrench time so I said hell with it and took it for a spin. She still pulls hard, just as hard as before. Seems to run tip top, pops into neutral good, hits gears good. But that sound is still there and so is the smoke. I’ve parked it until I figure this out. It’s a fully custom banshee from the frame up and I don’t want to blow it up. I won’t get lucky twice lol I assume it’s a stock crank, I built the engine from the jugs up. Never had the cases apart, I bought a complete bottom end. I’m leaning towards a crank seal or something in that area. Long post, I know. What do you guys think?

Yeah, Ok lol. Lemme guess, full asking price? I am selling my daughters 2001 Yamaha PW50, never been ridden, 0 hours. SHe just used it as a wall decoration in her bedroom. Perfectly normal behavior. Did you rotate it 90Degrees and carry it in?? If you're going to claim some shit like that, you have to explain this. They're about 43.3" wide stock, and I doubt your door is even close to that. Pry more like 36ish. I'm not saying it can't be done, just want to know how you did it

That dude that you bought the Raptor from must have really liked reverse lol. Flip those front tires around. Nice build. Those Swiss cheese frames were def. different frames. Yours had way more holes than Tricked's frame. Smart going with the solid frame. That drilled frame looked pretty wild, but kinda scary too. I think you should for sure do an orange frame. That looked great. Then do all black parts/accents. Black wheels, black plastics, orange hubs, orange frame, and maybe a little orange PC on some edges and your killin it! My bike is all black with a metalflake bright green PC frame and hubs. I even did the lugs. Black everything else. Looks insane! Mean as F***. I'll put a pic up sometime. Just joined this forum so haven't had any time on here yet.

^^this. My red nose pit lives about 20 ft from my shee. The chain is about 25. Unless they shoot the dog, no one will have a chance. Btw, New to the forum lol way to start things off huh?!? Possession is 9/10ths of the law. With out some documented proof of ownership, there is no way to legally get it back. Even with pics, he could write a fake bill of sale and say you sold it to him a couple days ago. These kind of things have to be handled personally. And like someone mentioned earlier, it's someone you're acquainted with. Could be a neighbors buddy. Could be a friends cousin. Or just a passer by who sees it on occasion. They didn't stumble upon it that's for sure. Good luck man. You can figure it out, you might just have to dig really deep. Or it may be a lot easier than you think. Either way, hope you find it.
