  1. It's all good buddy, we can learn a little something about different set ups in here. I didn't want to get into the other set ups or the other obvious geometry settings it changes and benefits but I'm glad you guys pitched in here. It's the next best option.
  2. I don't think you did my friend, he deals in Columbian pesos, which is at a current exchange rate of $2,849 per $1 U.S. dollar. Which equates to $34.05...in U.S dollars that is! I mean half the thing which is mainly the pipes are rusted ya know, you hit a 6" hard packed dirt and the wheels are coming off the hub hehe.
  3. That's not nice calling yourself a moron and realizing you were charged for every minute they worked on your junk :-) we all live and learn I can see why even a measly $500 would hurt you now haha
  4. You can go with facts and common sense or haha, the other...
  5. Doesn't matter the bike you ride, any will benefit from added travel. Sometimes I think I'm talking to a 10 year old haha, anyways this is where I stop making you look dumb for today..lataaa!
  6. Sure does, there's no other reason why the Pro's run what they do or anyone fast for that matter, It's a shame your skill level isn't up to par to notice the difference :-)
  7. Looks like I have to put you in check again haha. I would've done the same thing if I had a 450 (comparing Yamaha) stock on the rear is 11 inches, you buy the same set up I did with the link which costs almost the same (my set up is 1800 by the way not 2k) and you go from 11 inches to 13 inches so that .5 of an inch more. So as with everything else, you have to pay to play just like how people spend thousands on custom pipes for a few more horses. Peasant mentality hah!
  8. I figured you knew everything and knew how to use the search function since that's how most of you people on here reply but I won't be THAT guy... so Stock rear shock- 340mm Elka rear shock made in conjunction for the LT link- 367mm Stock rear shock inches of travel- 9.7 inches Elka rear shock made in conjunction for the LT link- 11.25 inches
  9. Dammmmn it son! You beat me to it, seriously we were in sync on this one I tell ya haha! More like the best suspension YOU think YOU can buy since you apparently don't know diddly squat. A pogo stick won't make up for almost a foot of travel. Again if I was serious about racing I'd build myself another 450, same come back over and over gets old you need to hit the refresh button ;-)
  10. Haha seriously, I guess he wants to make himself look dumb, once again. Doesn't only take $500 considering you still need the 367mm shock to benefit from it so you still have to tack on the price of that ontop. Not making the slightest difference huh? I didn't know long travel wouldn't make a difference, I guess if we all just rode in a straight flat line then that would probabaly be valid. People spend thousands of dollars on a motor with a ton of power and as soon as they get into anything other than flat their pogo stick suspension is not on par.
  11. I would but I ride my bike too often and have a group ride coming soon, besides I'm not the only one on here with one haha.
  12. Yea I hadn't found a picture of the comparison. I thought all they had done was just made the bone longer ha. But they made more geometry changes than I had thought.
  13. Cool little comparison between the stock and Elka long travel link.
  14. As the title states I have my Elka dual rate rear shock valved for a 175-200 pound rider for MX/dune. This is what was known as a stage 4 before the new model came out which is now called a stage 5 so it has preload, hi/low speed compression and rebound adjustments. Only reason I'm selling is because I bought the new stage 5. $600 shipped in the states, buyer pays fee or can be gifted. PayPal- mxfreak1010@aol.com Thanks!
  15. Slap a GoPro under there with a bicycle mount and see why it's acting up so you can rectify the issue.
  16. I took a grinder to my skidplate to make it fit originally because of the -2 arm hitting the stock linkage. Don't be scared.
  17. My current shock will be up for grabs if anyone wants it.
  18. She's getting spoiled possibly one last time..
  19. Got her all fixed just need to slap some paint on it. Stock mounts ground off: Stock crap: Insert that are fully threaded unlike the crap Yamaha used..i'm surprised they don't snap with all the weight coming down on them. Mocked up: Doneskieees:
  20. Small update..tried installing the new to me brake pedal annnnd haha yea.....
  21. This weekend was a blast riding with a bunch of new great ppl sharing the love of the Shee's!
  22. Well here's one for ya, put on one of her Christmas presents. Shock covers.
  23. These don't count...anyways I'm going to stop replying once again. Filling up my build thread with junk haha.
