Coolant mysteriously disappearing
driftingbanshee replied to lowidenfast's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Yeah depending on the cap if it's over pressured it will drop to the point the cap seals shut. It may have a higher pressure cap which is a good thing. Are you loosing coolant from the rad or the overflow bottle? sent from yo mumma's white vinyl lounge -
maybe cheaper for you as the majority of parts are all in the local in USA..

what about flexx bars? any one compared the 2? flexx v anti vibe? i personally like the feel of the standard banshee bars but the misses hates the apparent vibration and wants flexx but for nearly $500 im not sure they are worth it

i agree! i get the benefit of running EFI on a banshee. would depend how programmable the given map is to ensure fuel works much the same as the 2 jets (pilot and main) as we know they work at certain points of throttle. hardest part of it all is really getting the map and TPS set to ensure that. if i was going to actually look into this i rekon the best way would be to run a single carb setup. Would make things a touch easier getting that config right initially

yes i know you said you wanted to use new parts. i clarified that a few times in my posts :S there is also a fully programmable 1/2 cylinder 2stroke ECU readily available but you would know this already right? Have you looked into the TEC units im quite aware of how a 2 stroke works hence the name 2 stroke and again im not going to repeat what i said... honestly mate if you want to build your own go for it. Im sure you will get there. fark im sure we could work out something twice as quick if we put our heads together..... in the end all i said was why not pull from a 4stroke and convert it! at no point did i say it would just work if you used a 4 stroke one but would give you a better base to work from as we know the system is there....

im not bothered with continuing this conversation tbh mate. The sole and only reason i bought my banshee was because you can no longer get them and im about to buy another one before the factory runs out of whats left of the NEW stock i have no care to run EFI. I dont even run efi on my car why the fuck would i convert what is much loved about the banshee in the first place. im not going to keep repeating points that clearly you dont understand and avoid but then i expect no less from someone that cant fathom the fact that you CAN re-program a fuel controller

Love that stance kudos to a nice bike GERMANBANSHEE and welcome to bansheeHQ

convert = to change a form or function of something, thought i better clear that up as it seems you dont understand the meaning!! As for controllers a simple re-map is achievable to reconfigure the software and ensure injector timing is met on a 4 stroke ECU! This would involve dyno time and something that can program the software. I never at any point said it would bolt straight up and work. What i did say was take the basics from a 4 stroke. IE the working components like harness and what not instead of build from scratch but if you really wanted to be lazy you could purchase 2 stroke controllers/ecu and i know they are readily available. how did you come to this conclusion exactly? as for the systems out there maybe you should look up ectron or do some research on HGT. Im not going to spoon feed you here! I have no interest in it what so ever nor do i want to convert my banshee to EFI EVER, it just seems you got a little upset at a suggestion made which is very viable.

Wow you really are a genius! Have you done it yet? No? Maybe you should shut the fuck up! Someone get this man a bib and some tissues! Think he might cry If you want to have a pissing contest, I have 3 engineering degrees and im a qualified mechanic! I do harder things on a day to day basis than work out a basic low impedance efi system ya pleb sent from yo mumma's white vinyl lounge

Why would I do the hard work for you. Clearly you have no clue about basic engineering not to mention you wanted all new stuff designed which is a complete waste of time.... Injector timing and a map. Same basic principal applies here. There is already hardware and software on the market that can do it. Cleary you're a fuckn retard which I might add has been stated several times in this thread sent from yo mumma's white vinyl lounge

Cpi small bores Twin pods (air box removed) Chariot Reed setup alloy manifold 100ron pump fuel Sea level and upto 1500ft Basically all bolt on for now however I don't think that will answer my question tho sent from yo mumma's white vinyl lounge

Seems like it seems like...you 2 are having a lovers tiff? sent from yo mumma's white vinyl lounge

Out of curiosity what's your setup. I'm about to re-jet and what not and this may be the way to go.. From what I've planned my jetting would need to be in the 340 mark with 27.5 pilot. This would be a far better option if it can flow upto without needing to change a thing sent from yo mumma's white vinyl lounge

Never thought of cutting out like that. What do you cut the tread out with? sent from yo mumma's white vinyl lounge

Haha sent from yo mumma's white vinyl lounge

this is an awesome idea. saves re-jetting all the time!! whats the idea with the main/pilot jet setup? whats the expected flow of these jets versus say a 350 main?

thanks! ill check it out
