  6. LOL, it's been on here for over a month and he "bumped" it several times. Then you practically talked me into buying it and now you're disappointed that it's gone. On another note, I need to find a woman that likes to ride. I'd be willing to go a few more thousand $ into debt and buy her a banshee if she could actually handle one. Hell, I'd even settle for a girl that rides one of those 400/450 chick bikes by buddies ride
  7. I bought it. Talked to Ken and felt really good about the purchase. Thanks guys
  8. I'm considering a -1 Lonestar for sell on here. It's probably a better fit for what I do. I ride woods and occasionally pretend to still be an MX rider although I just can't bring myself to really jump big like I did when I was younger. I know one thing, there will definitely be no more amateur drag racing b/c I already can't keep my front end down on the launch but, then again, this is by no means a drag bike. decisions, decisions...
  9. side swiped a tree with my right rear tire. It bent my bead lock wheel, hub and the swingarm forks.
  10. I just saw your bike on Stellar's website
  11. I've been reading in the site sponsor section and came across a post about JD Customs' swing arms and I was literally just starting to send JD a message. Thanks
  12. If I can't find an economical option to upgrade to a roundhouse swinger, I'll give you a shout.
  13. Who has the best prices on a new roundhouse style swing arm and carrier? I'm wanting to swap from a (bent) stock unit to a roundhouse swinger so I would need a package deal with the carrier and anything else involved in making the switch. I can deal with raw finish to keep the price down, just need a quality swinger that won't break the bank or break when i start beating on it. Suggestions?
  14. My stocker is bent and I'd prefer to replace it with a roundhouse style swing arm and carrier if I can find one for the right price. Don't care what finish is on it but I'm pretty sure I want to stick with stock length. I may consider another stock unit if I can't find a deal on a roundhouse style. I wouldn't need the carrier, just the swing arm. Let me know what you have
  15. I too have had nothing but good experiences with F.A.S.T. Jeff and Cody are always helpful and, no matter how busy they are, they've always gotten my parts shipped out same day. I had some jetting issues when I first got my bike and, after trying to figure it out myself, Jeff told me exactly what jets to use and was spot on. Hell, I never even touched the air screws after installing the jets he recommended. Solid guys for sure. I've got a set of spare stock cylinders and head I plan to have them port over the Winter.
  16. Well, the bearings went in just fine!! I guess I lucked out on not getting the Chinese knock off version
  17. Again, while waiting on parts, I decided to polish and paint a few things. The result: I realized the bearings in the linkage and dog bone are also shot. Ordered the kit and paid fucking next day air freight shipping to get it here tomorrow. I'm trying so hard to make it to a big group ride on Sunday and 'shee is doing her best to keep that from happening. I'm determined to smoke a few more 4 pokes out before I call it quits and go into hibernation for the rest of the year. When the weather gets cold, I only go outside to brew beer or fill my glass from the kegerator in the garage
  18. Can't see the country of manufacture anywhere on the bearings or the packaging. I'm so scared of tearing these bearings up trying to get them installed. These needle bearings seem really fragile. The old ones just crumbled when I tied to tap them out. Here's to hoping those were from China and the new ones are made in the good ol' U.S. of A
  19. The Pivot works bearing kit doesn't come till today so I did some cleaning / painting last night while everything was apart. Not the best quality pics but this is the color I painted my engine and it is an accent color behind the flames in my graphics
  20. I want to but just don't have the funds at them moment. Hoping to upgrade a few things over the winter with my year end bonus
  21. Ahh, OK. So it should have never been in place because I have the full TM Designworks chain guide/roller system. The top/front chain guide always sat crooked/jacked up (just ordered a new one today) so it must be because the collar wasn't supposed to be there. Makes sense and now I wish I hadn't ordered the damn collar being that it's not needed for my application.
  22. But I really feel like the entire swing arm was angled from the pivot point where it attached to the frame. Had a hard time taking any real measurements as it's hard to know what you can trust to be the same on each side of the bike so I mostly determined this by just eyeballing it but I could fit my pinky between the shock spring on one the left/chain side and could not fit it between the swinger and shock on the right side. Can anyone tell me what the purpose of that collar is? I'm hoping that is my issue but not exactly sure what role it plays in the grand scheme.
  23. OK, i'll check that out tonight. Were you able to bend them back or was the swing arm shot at that point?
  24. I noticed some yanking/snatching under full power on my last ride. Took a look at the bike and discovered the swing arm was not aligned properly with the frame, it is angled to one side. The sprocket side rear tire is actually almost an inch farther forward than the right side and the wear on the (new) sprockets is evident so I ordered the Pivotworks bearing rebuild kit and took the swinger off last night. I don't see anything wrong with the bearings or any of the parts that the rebuild kit contains, however, I noticed that the collar labeled # 42 in this diagram is crushed on one side (actually has a hole worn through it too). What exactly is this collar for? Could this cause the misalignment? It was late last night when I got it all apart and I just cut the lights off and went to bed, didn't get a good look at how this things plays into the equation. Any advice is much appreciated
