  1. I put a 15 tooth front sprocket on my banshee the other day and it rubs the metal piece in the front of the sprocket. It has a screw at bottom and looks like it can come off. So do I try to take it off and grinds it down a little bit??? It barely rubs so I don't need much room, but it still is not right. What is the application of putting a larger sprocket on because I know there is up to 17 tooth for it. Any input will help...
  2. Thanks. A lot of good advice. Will try it out this wknd.
  3. I want to eventually get a new exhaust for my bike. I assume that the Toomey T5 complete kit with silencers is the best, just not sure.. I am sure there's a lot of opinions on it. I know a kit is going to cost $500-$700 depending...
  4. So do I need to really revalve the shock or can I get away with stock.
  5. I just changed to 15/41. I was at 14/41 and have 22'' rear tires.. bottom end does not suffer, still tons of torque... I think the 15 up front will gain 3-5 mph over the 14 tooth..
  6. I run 4-5 psi in all the tires..
  7. So can I run the ones with the R on my setup I have or do I just get the plain 8"s...
  8. I also put a heavier spring on but both the locking nut are all the way to the top of the threads. Another words the spring is pretty much all the way out. What will happen the more I lower those locknuts and compress that spring down??? How will the bike react??? I do sometimes bottom out when I jump high...
  9. I just found out that that there is a such thing as a hot or cold plug. I run what the book says B8ES. I recently got a new 10 pack that have an R (I think) on it. I haven't tried them yet. My cousin has a B9ES and said its a hot plug.... Can you guys explain the difference and what works better in different conditions. My bike runs great and starts first kick 95% of the time unless its super cold then like 5 kicks with choke out.... Any info will help...
  10. I can't seem to get rear shock dialed in. I put a Racetech Spring for my weight (220lbs.) on it and went 12 out on both comp. and rebound like the tech said. It seems to want to "buck" me over the handlebars at times. I do have a +4 swingarm and ride thru trails, tracks and quarrys. Most of the issue is when riding thru the whoops. I def need the compression all the way hard due to my weight. I want the bike to absorb the whoops better. Any info is helpful. I plan on getting better front and rear shocks soon.
  11. So just to clarify. Remove choke totally from carb and file down notches. Then reinstall....
  12. Both great ideas. Thanks
  13. I see there is a replacement for the choke. is it a simple unscrew the old one and put the new one on or is there some adjustments to it??
  14. Upgrading on performance. I was told to put heavier springs on the clutch will help transfer the horsepower how do I get that done step-by-step?
  15. What other changes would I need to make to go to a 4 or 10 mil motor. What size carbs, jets, etc.
  16. Yeah, thanks that is all good ideas on more mods. I do actually already have the Boyesen Reeds and LRD Adjustable Race Pipes. I am sure Clutch upgrade is almost manditory at this point, its an 02 and probably still original...
  17. I was just wondering the octane needed for the dome sizes from 17cc up to 22cc from Pro Design Domes. I have 20cc now and sometimes mix race gas 50/50. But I want to be able to use just pump gas 93 in a pinch. Banshee is 2002 with Cool Heads, 0.30 over with Weisco Pistons, Tors Eliminator Kit, K&N Air filters fight off carbs, +4 timing, rebuilt carbs, 300 main jet with 30 pilot.... Also with these minor mods I want to beef up the power alittle more.. Besides porting and welding and balancing crank what else are somewhat inexpensive ways to gain hp. Any info will help..
  18. What is the octane raings for the different sized Pro Deseign domes for a banshee
