  1. So your saying that the crank bearings are going to go!
  2. Starwriter I belive the clutch adjusting nut came off and that was what broke the gear. As for the broken piston pieces when the mechanic took the bottom case off he tried to blow moslty everything out. I am still working on putting her back together, polishing this, painting that. Hopefully this weekend I will finish it up. Thanks for all the help
  3. Just wanted to give yall an update of whats going on. First wanted to say thanks for all the advise I have received in here especially to Starwriter. Took the motor to a local shop, he took the bottom case off to keep from removing the jugs and head. Just had replaced the pistons and rings with only two hrs on the rebuild. The Right piston before rebuild on the exhaust side skirt had broken off. But I could not find any pieces of it so thought it had magically disappeared. Needless to say that after he split the cases guess what was in the there: many, many little pieces of metal and a broke tooth on the crank gear. Luckily the crank gear was the only fatality besides the original problem of the seized rod and ball on the actuator. Like I said really new to working on the banshee, I bought it used and haven't got a decent ride out of yet. Right of the bat I had to buy shocks, linkage bearings, swing arm bearings, new tires, top end rebuild kit, and know this job I could not do myself. Morale of the story, if your pistons break tear down the bottom end as well. Have a pancake bearing installed immediately. And if you buy a banshee make sure the PM work has been done regularly. 4. what color are the front shocks? Do u have the stock heel guards?
  5. I have a adjustable timing plate already surprisingly. Where can I get the pancake bearing and shift star ball bearing at?
  6. I'm new to the game, what are some typical internal improvements?
  7. Well boys and girls the bend that fucker back option is out the window. I removed the pressure plate and clutches( I have a hinson clutch basket) I removed the actuator adjustment screw and nut . The adjustment screw looked snapped into and I could not get the ball and rod out. I used a punch to try to loosen the rod but it would not move. It seems that they are welded in place. Besides breaking down the cases is there any way to fix the problem. I have not figured out how to post pictures yet
  8. Just got off work and I think I am going to start on pulling it. I noticed on the parts schematic that there is a bearing associated with the actuator. Is this bearing pressed into the case or the actuator itself. Again thanks for all the help on here this is my first post.
  9. Is their a link or procedure out there to do this? I think it is bent to bad to just bend back out.
  10. Good looking out guys I will try that. In the future if I wanted to replace it, would I have to remove the clutches to replace or does it just pull out and slap another one in?
  11. This bend came from normal use of the cluth. If i bend it back will it happen agin? It's the part that the clutch cable connects to at the cases.
  12. My clutch push lever is bent, I guess just old and wore out its an 04 Banshee. I was wondering if there was a forum on here that described how to replace it. I have search google and nothing. This is my first post and just wanted to say that this site has help me out a lot. Any suggestions?
