  1. need some opinions, banshees fires up good and runs strong for a few minutes then starts to run rough for a few minutes then will run ok again. Just had the carbs off and cleaned up and still the same. Was wondering about the coil maybe? Any ideas would be great.
  2. OK, JUST AN UPDATE FOR EVERYONE. I PUT THE NEW CHOKE PLUNGER IN AND SHE FIRED RIGHT UP THIS MORNING AFTER SITTING ALL NIGHT. LET IT SIT ALL AFTERNOON TO MAKE SURE AND ALL IS GOOD, SO IF YOU HAVE ISSUES LIKE THE ONES IVE BEEN HAVING CHECK THE PLUNGER!!!! THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT AND HELP FELLAS:)
  3. Ok, I actually ordered a new choke plunger. ( hated holding it out to start it) so I'll put the new one in and see if that helps?!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. What o ring are you referring to??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. It runs great once I get it started!! Also I fired it up this morning( with some help) and I took the choke tube off while it's running and it revs up quite a bit,, put the tube back on and it idles down to where it should be. Is this normal?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. ACTUALLY DID GET ANOTHER TESTER TO MAKE SURE AND THEY BOTH READ THE SAME, 125PSI. THE THING I CANT FIGURE OUT IS THAT IF I GET IT RUNNING IT'LL PULL FUEL AND RUN GREAT. IT'LL START UP AFTER THAT TOO UNTIL LIKE THE NEXT DAY OR IT GETS COLD KINDA THING!!!!
  7. No, I haven't changed the pistons. It'll run great if I get it started. It just won't start after it sits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Did everything I can think of, used compressed air to clean the carbs and all the jets, did a leak down test, carbs are getting fuel, bowls and slides are on the right carbs, choke tube is there and good!! Like I said I don't know what else it could be? Mind boggling to me?
  9. Ok, carbs are clean( boiled and spotless) , I have new Reeds, I have 125 compression and there is fuel in the carbs but it's not getting pulled through. What else can I check for? I've kicked it with choke and checked the plugs after and they're dry. If I put fuel in the head it will start and stay running?! Anyone else have this happen? This thing is driving me crazy
  10. this is exactly what mine is doing as well. If i put fuel in the head oor spray it right in the carb it'll fire up. ive cleaned the carbs and everything in them like 5 times, i even boiled the carbs.I have 125 cpmpression in each cylinder and brand new reeds. What the HELL am i missing?? i kicked and kick with the choke on at WOT and the plugs are dry. If i help start it itll stay running. what else to try?
  11. If I put a little fuel in the head, or if I spray some fuel in the carbs while kicking it over it'll start right up and run like a champ. Just doesn't wanna start cold. Did a leak down test-passed Compression- 125psi Choke tube - good Jetted- yes Haven't ohmed anything yet?
  12. Ok, I have good compression, cleaned the carbs to new condition, bowls are on the right carbs, new reeds in it and spark. It started last night after I cleaned the pilot jets but I tried this morning and nothing again. What the hell am I missing??
  13. I think the jet is on the one that has 1-2 on it. You can see the jet on the outside of the bowl right?
  14. Has anybody ever had the choke plunger go bad? My quad will fire up and stay running if you spray a little gas right into the carbs but will not start cold! Just wondering what I should be looking for?
  15. Has anybody ever had the choke plunger go bad or anything like that??? Seems like it's not choking properly!
  16. Choke tube is good! There's nothing in it, I cleaned it out too
  17. And will start up over and over after that until it sits for a while
  18. Ok, I've been having a hell of time with my quad, everything checks out good except it won't start. What's it mean when you can take the air filter off and squirt a bit of gas in to the carbs and it starts right up. I've cleaned the carb out, I've tried a few different spots with the needle and nothing. Fire a little gas through it and it starts. What am I missing???
  19. So I think I found some one local who does bore jobs so I'm wondering what size piston would someone recommend for a solid trail bike?? Right now it's stock . so would 65mm be too much for pump gas , stock carb set up??
  20. So what is the average cost of a cylinder job from a sponsor on the site? Just trying to get idea of the cost to send it there have the work done and send it back. I'm in Canada. It might be cheaper to just buy a kit with the cylinders and pistons?!? Also I ride 90% trails, like bit of sand and the odd time at the local track. Any suggestions on what I should be doing? Like what type of piston and if I should go with a bigger cc kit ect, would really like to hear some options as to what I should do. Currently has Namura stock size pistons, stock carbs, VF3 reeds, +4 timing, and boost bottle. I'm not sure of anything else as I've never opened it up since I bought it. Let's hear what I should do?!? Thanks all:)
  21. ok so im gonna try the pistons and see if thats the problem. My question now is whats the best way to do this? do i just do rings do i do piston and rings, there isnt a shop around here that bores so im screwed that way. uld i order a big bore kit with the cylinders and pistons ? whats the best pistons to go with? what should i do people? i would like to hear what everyone else would do?
  22. Do you think the compression has anything to do with what's happening?
