  1. Yup, it's only 5 minutes up the road but I get to ride every day:)
  2. I'm lost, tried this morning and it wouldn't start, choked it and pinned the throttle and kicked and kicked. Checked the plugs after about 50 kicks and they we're dry as a bone!! What else could be going on? Carb issue or not pulling in the fuel issue??
  3. Ok everybody here's one for you!! I've had it back together for about a day. I live in Ontario and my garage isn't heated. It's been around +1 to +4 give to take. I put a little heater under the Shee for about 24hrs. I went out yesterday morning to try to start it and BAM, fired up first kick! has anybody heard of a Shee being that cold blooded that it needs a block heater!! Lmao:) so I've had the heater under it again and gonna go out in a bit and see if it'll start again. I had the garage warmed up the day I was working on it and it didn't start that night. This just seems very weird. Would the low compression have anything to do with this?? Or do I have the cold blooded beast that likes a little heat when she's cold? THANKS all for the help hopfully the weather gets a bit warmer here in Canada and I won't need a heater any more:) let me know if anyone has ever heard of such a thing!!
  4. So anybody else have any ideas or suggestions that I can do or try, I don't wanna take it to a shop but I'm out of ideas!! Please help fellas!! Lol
  5. Bowls didn't get switched did them one at a time? Anything else that could be wrong with the carbs? Once it's running it stays running good just won't start without some help!!
  6. Also, both the the bowls have that tube in them! Is this a common thing? I ran mint before just not sure what's going on now!
  7. Is there seals inside that could be bad?? I'm So confused as to what's going on! Lol I had it running last night for quite a while, shut it off and started first kick a dozen times after it was warmed up. Tried to start her up this morning to drive to work:) and nothing!! What the Hell! Lol
  8. Yup, cleaned one carb at a time! I'm running 300/30 I think the needle is in the 1st or 2nd position. It's just weird that it was fine until I did this work but I didn't really do anything to the motor or carbs! What else could it be. Why does it run good once I get her going?
  9. Ok, did a leak down test and it passed. Carbs were cleaned again and everything is good externally. Now I guess I need to know what's next? Did a compression test as well and they are both 105 cold.( a bit low but don't think this is part of my issue) put it back together and still won't start. If I put a little gas in the head and it starts right up, and keeps starting every time once it's warmed up. Is there a seal or something inside that could be causing my starting issue??? NEED HELP:( it's almost riding season here in cold ass canada!! Thanks all , hope I can get this figured out
  10. I cleaned the carbs good, took everything apart and cleaned them with carb cleaner and compressed air! To do leak down test on a banshee do you do both sides at once or can you do one side at a time? Never done one on a twin before!
  11. gaskets were in great shape, it seems like its not getting fuel until i run it. i can put a few drops in the head and it'll start right up and stay running. Just wondering why it's not getting fuel right from the get go?? it runs pretty much perfect after i get it running but it's a pain
  12. its there, and good and clean.
  13. are the 4's that much better than the 3's?
  14. HI ALL,, Just spent the winter rebuilding my banshee.POWDER COATED everything that could be done and put all new bearings seals ect. didnt do much to the motor except advanced the timing, shift star mod and new reed petals. my issue is now is it wont start as easy or nice as it used to. Cleaned the carbs and adjusted the float so it doesnt leak out the overflow anymore. the issue is getting gas i think.I Can choke and kick the guts out of her but it wont start. if i put a little gas in the head then it starts right up and runs like a top and stays running. it'll fire up first kick after that, but if it sits for any length of time it seems to do the same thing. I took the plugs out to see what they look like and after sitting and trying to start again they seem dry with no fuel getting there. Anybody know why what my problem may be. it runs really nice after i get it going just wont start right away like she used to. any help would be great
  15. Hello All, I'm restoring my Banshee and I'm installing some new parts. I bought a grab bar that doesn't have the mounts on it for my brake light? Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what to do? Does anyone make an aftermarket bracket or has anyone made something?
