Yuh i mean i got somewhat of the basics down but like how often do you clean them and when you clean them do you gotta break it down to every jet and carb clean it to the max or what because me and my friend cleaned them good except for the pilot jet i guess and yuh we mix 32:1 na i havent done a leak down test yet i guess thats what the mechanics gonna do and when you say season (how long does a season consist of)... what about the flywheel?

Sorry guys i just figured yall would list lil tricks to keep maintained and running hard every time i take it out lol k today i ran it and it was running like shit i mean bad that i was ashamed to call it a banshee and turns out someone said i didnt clean the pilot jet area good that why i had no take off (it was bogging nasty) and top end felt like it was getting a kick the closer i got to the ending of the gear so thats why i s ing this time im letting a specialist mechanic just open her up and leave her new-ish im only on fmf pipes uni filter and reeds nothing more now i just wanna know any lil tricks yall know to maintaining her so i can always have her at 100% when i go riding thanks

K guys im giving my shee one last chance because today was an even worst ride then last weekend im giving my bike to a real mechaninc this time to leave her brand new like im getting her off the yamaha lot what im trying to ask you fellow gentlemen is for the following what do i have to do to maintain the bike to being in mint condition so i dont allow her to go back to riding like crap... K what should my compression be at? I got fmf pipes reeds uni filters thats pretty much it my main jets 300 and i dont know what the pilot is dont know how to check that out (does it have a number or something on it like the main jets

Sup guys i should famous on this site by now from how much my bikes been acting up lol k so i wanna go riding tomorrow and i got my bike some new gas lines cleaned the carbs (left one still has a little bit of a leak on the left one even after i put it at 21mm... Any ideas?) and my left exhaust is loose no idea why it came off as i was WOT and sounded like corvette on serious cams.... My point is my bike feels like its lost some power due to it not popping up anymore (originally 1st 2nd and 3rd were popping up now only first gear pops up and thats with me throwing my weight into it) PLEASE HELP I MISS MY WILLIE LOL

K so i dont need that hose and can block it off with that billet plate? Or i need to get that hose again and install it? I have the manual so ill look at where it goes if i need it.... And as for a gasket theres not suppose to be one in there you say? Because last week when i rode and it got hot thats where it started to leak from and i thot it was from a worn gasket

K guys i finally had time to take my bike apart and found where the bike was leaking from now my question is in this picture is the bike suppose to be dripping fluid in there or is it a seal of some sort (because the idiot that worked on my bike put a piece of cardboard as a gasket and maybe thats why it was leaking....?) please give me your opinions thanks

Im glad you mentioned the float height someone mention this 21mm to me before but i have no clue as to adjusting the float how do you adjust it. Is a clymers manual my best bet and fixing/figuring out future problems on this monster? (Specially that this is my first shee that i work on myself?

Lol sorry strm was helping a friend put throttle cable on and carbs i have fmf pipes reeds mikuni 28mm carbs tors eliminated and no idle screw in carbs and from the guy told me when he sold me the bike he ported the engine a bit (i dont know how to tell if hes lying or not) but thats it i have a couple other mods in mind but i dont know if itll harm my bike in the long run from riding every sunday for a couple hrs Yuh hes some guy my friend found and we go to him due to him being way cheaper then a shop (in miami) but its looking like i might have to visit the shop

No its always ran like this since iv gotten the bike but normally iv seen banshees response time seem faster then when i give my bike gas. By run better on the choke you mean if it responds better when i accelerate? (Reason im asking is cuz since iv had that bike its never really stayed on idling even on neutral iv always had to give it gas for it to stay on i dont know why and neither does the guy that sometimes fixes my bike).. So mess around with the air screw to see where it runs best at? Right now they a 300 main idk the pilot but what would be the next size if i need to up the main/pilot jets? Im a noob sorry lol

No i mean the bike gets normally hot not overheating or nothing like that but im just curious why it doesnt take off like some of the bikes i see just straight throttle and book your gone... Is that the timing plate or parts that keep the engine cool make it faster acceleration?

So just replace the float and needle is what you guess are saying.... And how do you manage the float needle up/down to prevent leaks (after i switch it out)

So i cleaned my carbs for my ride yesterday and i followed a video i saw on youtube take out the carb then remove the bowls spray it down with carb cleaner remove float and needle spray some carb cleaner in there as well and put back together... Is there anything i did wrong? Or is that type of clean only seasonal? And is there a specific way the float needle needs to go back into the hole its in because my left carbs was leaking a lot of gas while riding

I rode it today and it looks like its leaking from the right lower side through the gasket and from the water pump on the clutch cover but it only leaks alot when riding/hot... You think a new gasket will fix the leak or its not that simple?? And what cases are were you talking about?

Alright everybody i was riding today my lil beast and all of a sudden i started leaking transmission fluid and almost ended up dry. Some ppl said i need a new seal is that what it is? And another thing i was riding perfectly fine no problems but then istarted to bog after riding in the dirty for a bit could it be my K&N filter sucked up lil too much dirt and dirtied the carbs (causing the bogging)
