  1. no leakdown test done yet i dont have the tools to do it and not 100% sure on how to do it. running 91 with octane booster at 3300 feet. i originally bought it from someone who rode it in flagstaff az which is around 6000 feet and alot cooler. guy didnt know much about bike since he got it on a trade and only rode it a few times. siad he preferred 4 stokes
  2. when i bought my banshee it was missing a baffle on one of the silencers. i got a set of powercore 2 off the internet. when they arrived they were turbine cores. they are really quiet and i was wondering if they restrict a lil power cause of the design. theres hardly any packing in them and are still quiet. i like to hear it when i get on it. just wonderig about them id like to get some new toomeys or trinity but ive got other thing that need the cash
  3. and im going to do a plug chop on next day off its been around 113 here lately so i didnt do any riding recently
  4. ive been struggling to get my shee jetted right. its been super hot lately here but nothing seems to help the breakup on the top end. i just bought a compression tester but what was wondering what would be decent to good compression. it starts up 2nd or 3rd kick and runs good midrange just as soon as its 3/4 to full it has hesitation. heres my mods trinity stage 4 head(not sure on dome cc) fmf gold series into turbine core dual foam filters no box v force 2 reeds 330 main air 1.5 turns out needle is 4th pos. (1 up from botttom) temp has been well over a 100 lately . i just dont want to have to take it to a shop to get checked out
  5. i finally had a day off and looked at my needle. the clip is on the lowest position on the needle. could that be why its breaking up on the top end. also there isnt a screw or anything to release the needlefrom the line. only a plate cvering the needle. i can pull it up but its still attatched to the cable
  6. i was wondering about the octane myself. the guy i bought it from would run a mix but said i didnt have to. im not sure if anyone in my town sells higher than 91. i asked the atv shop and no one knew of any places. it runs great up until wot. powerband kicks in good just when i give it full throttle it starts to break up
  7. still breaking up on full throttle about the same with the 330s. my local shop didnt have anything between 300 and 330. is 300 too lean.
  8. what weird no all i did was replace the mains to 330s and now its running with the choke on where before it would die if i turned it off then back on. i didnt touch any screws or make any adjustments besides mains
  9. the biggest jets i had were 290. ill head down to river rat and pick up a couple of 300-320.
  10. thanks for the imput ill start rumaging through the bag of parts i gopt to see what jets were thrown in. i appreciate the info and help.it helps to have someone whos somewhat local with temp and elevation
  11. there is a photo on my page. it has a aluminum looking cage. the guy gave me a bunch of extra parts when i bought the quad and it had reeds in a yamaha bag that said v force repolacement reeds.

  13. 3300 elevation. 90-100deg fmf gold series pipes into fmf silencers v force replacement reeds trinity stagr 4 head. dont know dome size. dual foam filters w no airbox breaks up on top end.

  16. i think its got vforce reeds as well since hr gave me extras. it just said replacement not v force 2 or 3. sorry if my info is kinda vauge
  17. im not sure what your asking. the heads say stage 4 on them. ok so ipulled of one carb and its got a 380 main in it. would too much gas make it stumble as well

  20. not sure guy didnt even know what heads were on it. he got it in on a trade and said he liked 4 strokes more. is there any way to find out without taking it apart
  21. do i need to run higher octane fuel with those heads. i usually run 91 in my other quad.
  22. well i heard those are good heads. im getting ready to pull the carbs off here in a lil bit and see what we got. any idea roughly the hp numbers would be. it definately gets it better than my lt250r but seems like theres room for improvement.

  24. the shee came from by flagstaff az which is quite a bit higher in elevation than kingman where i live. thats why i feel like the mains might be off. it starts fine and mid range seems good. just at the higher rpms it starts to break up
  25. just wondering what head is on my banshee. the guy i bought it from said it had a stage 3 head. looking at it today it actually says stage iv on it. its a polished head but couldnt see a name on it. when i was riding it today it seemed to break up a lil on the top end. was seeing where my jetting should be. it has the head full fmf pipes and 2 foam filters with no airbox. am going to pull the carbs off tonight and see what jets are in it.
