custom painting a 10 hour old bike sounds like an awesome idea

if there are any high spots on the the crank and flywheel tapers you prolly want to get rid of those first carefully with a smooth file before you start lapping

quite a few peeps are running 160ish comp on 93 but its the ragged edge, maybe start with 0 timing then bring it up, doesnt take much deto to suck months/years of life out of your bottom end

why not just run it at +7 and 110 for a while...if your that desperate to detune it and save money using 93oct do it later

ive thought about this, you really need to set up some sort guide system so you dont remove more than you need to, otherwise youre just increasing case volume and thowing away intake charge / horsepower, your 10mm will end up being an 8mm or a 6mm or something lol maybe not that much of drastic loss if your careful and take your time. sit your crank in the case with your rod above the split line and measure how much material is in the way, i think someone on here said some cases will take a 7mm without trenching.. or wait till you got cash and get them machined
