  1. even that my compressions are at 180 and 150 it starts now at 1 to 2 crank. (normally at 20 to 30 crank) thanks guys...
  2. i changed the sprakplugs for new ones and the cdi and stayed the same. the owner before removed the censer from the park brake safety (park brake safety switch is disconnected). trotlle cables are connected. so i decided to call i friend to come by my house to check it and by the sound off the rev , he said there was i problems with the main jets and the shee wasn't at sea level so he decided the take the carbs apart and we notice the main jets were 280 and 25 (stock)jet pilot. he told me the different between the jet pilot for the main jets to take over at WOTT was to big. so like i said it idles but when you hit the trotlle at WOTT it won't rev. so we decided to use 240 main jets and WOTT WOTT WOTTT. now it revs better than before and runs even better and saves me more fuel and it didn't lose power. (stupid owner before ) THANKS GUYS
  3. i already disconnect the wires from the rev limiter thing and stayed the same. i know have a bad harness (already order i new one),but it starts. i also tuned the carbs (stock carbs) could it be bad air screw tuning? burned sparkplugs? or cdi box? so my doubt is between tuned carbs,bad harness,sprakplugs and cdi box so most efectly right know what to check first ?
  4. the banshee started !! it has to be the harness cause i complete remove the harness and checked and repair all the broken wires and now it started and idle normallly and again when i touch with the harness it gets complicate to start it again! NOWTHAT I FIXED IT , IT START BUT IT DOESN'T WANT TO REV. i also disconnected the wires from the rev limiter thing and stayed the same. another thing i was to lean on mixoil (gas) cause a atv mechanich told me i have to mix 4ounce per gallon to save the motor and i was mixing 1and a half ounce fully thank(2and a half)ounce so yeah burning the pistons and burning the sprakplugs. so could the rev problem also be the sparkplugs? i also tuned the carbs (stock carbs) could it be bad tuniing?
  5. tested al these: the cdi box still good ,the flywheel is good,the stator is good, new sparkplugs,coil also is good also putted a new universal switch on it and still NO SPARK. the compression test (66mm)i made was 180 psi on left side and 150 on the right side. at what psi a 66mm should be ? i now it's time to start thinking on a fresh rebuild ,but what else could be giving me the problem? the 2 things i didn't check was the pickupcoil and the harness. i also notice that they touched with the harness (taping the wires all around).

  9. when i took the stator plastic cover off i noticed that the flywheel was a bit of rusty ,without pulling the flywheel off i also noticed thru the flywheel holes that the stator had like a black carbon ishh thing on it ,it looked like dried oil(not sure). could this mean the stator is burned or preventing the stator of performing like it should perform ?
  10. ok so how do i check my compression ? do they sell products to test the compression ? can i noticed the compression by the air flowing out of the pipes? yesterday i opened the cylinders and noticed that the pistons where really black on top ,is that telling me something or the way it normally should be?

  12. i just changed the stock filters to duo race filters ,but it started after. i didn't touch with any wires just changed the pipes .another thing where to start looking for ground wires (stator ,pickup coil,switch etc )blue right ?
  13. i didn't test it by a tester. i "think" the compression are ok cause it ran great and with POWER, it started in 3 to 4 crank ,like they say when your compression are low you can literallly crank it with your hands and i can't i can bench 180 kg chest press so i don't think it is the compression and another fact is that my friends have new banshees and i compare my compression to there shees
  14. i just woke up a day went riding it was on half tank ,then the gas obviously got lower and lower till the point it began to run like too lean so i open the reserve and then it still ran bad ,like a said in the reply before it stood a while outside in the sun (dirt ,rain all that shit!) so i taught maybe due that the gas went so low ,it could be that it suck some dirt in the jets, so i made the carb parts apart and clean them and it had no sign of starting. i went checking for spark (coil)and had no spark. i also changed the stock filter to duo race filters.
  15. it has NO spark at all. so i decided to take the coil to a motorcycle mechanic and he told that a coil doesn't damaged so easy . he told me more likely the stator or a black ishh thing battery under the flywheel or the switch are use to damaged faster. he didn't mentioned how to look for problems. so if the stator is damaged ? could you see it by a burn color on the stator? how to look /check/test for the electral problems?
  16. i have a 370cc (66mm) with cpi pipe ,coolhead ,ported,4 mm crank ,stock reeds,and pro design intake. the owner before let it stood for a while outside in the sun without runnin it ,it had stock pipe when a bought it and it ran great ,but just before swapping to cpi it began to run like it had dirt or something that was preventing the quad to run great. so i decided to take whole the carbs apart and make it fully clean (moved the jets ,float ,pilot etc everything apart!), i also the checked the reeds if there wasn't any tear or broken reeds and they where just fine. the compressions are good... the tube joined between the carb is there (isn't missing),made the whole thank clean for any dirt inside ,cleaned the on/off/reserve and now that i put on the cpi and it didn't show no sign of life . what could it be ? could it be the jet sizes? anything! thanks apreciated
  17. thanks meng i did what you reply "pulling out the old plugs kick it a few and then replaced them with new ones" it started on the first kick. nicee! but then it began to do the same have to kick it alot (normally)before it start. i must open the choke full otherwise it doesn't start.... when i cleaned the carbs there was alot of fuel coming out of the carbs (both).what could be
  18. what would it be ? last week my banshee was running great, then just before turning it off it began to work bad. i was low on fuel so i thought that could be the problem but ,now i fully tank it and it stayed the same . it just doesn't start....(disapointed). i have some issues with the o rings of the head (slips water out). i have tried: choke fully open+trotle wide open (carb overfload) choke full open/half (carb overfload) and it just doesn't start..... helppp
  19. would a 38 mm carb safe full or you have to put gasoline every 5 minutes? looking big carb for trail
