  1. ahh there is FI setups for banshees, maybe if I hit the lotto ill try one
  2. yeah I guess I would consider myself an amateur as far as banshees go, this is my first (owned, or ridden). Ive spent the last month dicking around with the carbs that came on the bike to no avail, I just want something to go riding with. believe me I love the nostalgia of carburetors and everything but if they made a fuel injection kit for the banshee I would be all over it, so much easier

  5. im just looking for a new kit one with jets and everything ill need the few hours a week i get to work on it usually gets disrupted by having to order more parts thats why i was looking into the chariot kit it seems to come with everything manifold, carb, jets, cable ect just didnt know if a 35 carb is to big for stock cylinders with no work
  6. been pulling my hair out trying to tune the stock carbs, looking into the 2 into 1 chariot kit whats a good carb for stock cylinders, fmf pipes, v force 4 reeds, no porting, no headwork. they offer 35 and 38 is 35 to big? not looking for a drag bike, just looking for something easy to tune and can ride the trails and sand pits.
  7. im running out of ideas then it just doesnt wanna run good, it idles mint and now it bogs intermittent off idle sometimes it takes off sometimes it just dies out on me
  8. so after rewiring the lights and such at idle the stator is barely pushing out enough juice to light them up that cant be good? ordered a new stator just incase as far as jetting i dropped my pilot to 27.5 and it is alot better off idle with the airbox cover on, now to fine tune everything else running a 300 main and needle at 3rd and it pulls pretty good
  9. Gonna peel the harness and rewire it the parking brake cable is gone and I saw a cut wire that after tracing is going to th felt front headlight so at least if nothing comes out of the running issue I found out why the headlight doesn't work
  10. Actually now thinking of it there is 2 different slides one has 2 square cut outs on the top, the other only has one is it possible they are in the wrong sides? I did hav them both off for the tors eliminator
  11. Starts and idles 1 kick, slides are in correct its weird it ran mint after I drained the carbs to check th floats they seemed in spec then after taking it for a run around the block it started bogging again
  12. I was thinking electric because nothing I do on the jet side seems to change the outcome bike appears to have a timing plate with numbers on it so I'm assuming that's aftermarket?
  13. 500 ft abov sea level, 40 degrees outside ( I know isn't helping) I tried the fmf suggested jets at 260 main 27.5 pilot and it idles mint but any throttle kills it. I've been at it a while tried every main from 200 to 330, and combinations of 25 thru 32.5 pilots. Bought new vforce cages and gaskets thinking it has to be air leak, new intake boots, new carb to box boots, needles in every position. Haven't been able to run it enough to plug chop but plugs aren't fouling at all. Another thing it doesn't seem to get hot at all I'll idle it for 15 minutes and can touch the headers with just a slight warmth to them
  14. Yeah they seem synced as far as visually and by feel, I also forgot to add on the first post that it only runs with the air box lid off if I put it on it really dies out on me
  15. Been having trouble jetting my new banshee, mods are fmf fatties w power cores, kn air filter with adapter, v force 4, tors eliminator. I've tried many different jettings right now I'm at 320 mains, 32.5 pilots, and needle clip 4, and af screw at half turn out. It has a bog to the point of stalling right off idle if I lean out the af screw at all I thought I needed a bigger pilot but even after going from 30 to 32.5 it hasnt madea difference. Really starting to pull my hair out has no air leaks, 134 compression both sides, any suggestions?

  17. As far as chains my friends chain from d2 stretched to the point it was out of spec after 230 miles on a yfz600
  18. Hope this isn't too late stay away from d2 their parts are so cheap for a reason had a nightmare with a set of levers from them on my zx10 I pulled he brake lever and it snapped, and if you know street bikes you know you don even pull the brakes with barely any force
  19. As title says looking for a good +2 shocks my stockers can't handle the load, also looking for a new rear as well
