  1. What if the head is being milled specifically for fuel, pipes, and porting?
  2. Which is better? I heard you can get more hp (up to a certain amount) from a milled head vs. a cool head. Is there any truth behind this?
  3. Thanks guys! I found a great local shop called JSR Performance (www.bigboremotors.com). Come to find out, it is run and owned by 5 time Pikes Peak Champion John Stallworth. Super nice guy and very knowledgeable. This guy knows his way around a banshee. I decided after JSR is done boreing the cylinders, I will have them port them and also mill the head. A new timing plate, lightened flywheel, K&N filter, new clutch and I should be ready for the dunes come spring. Anyone in the Kansas area looking to have their atv's or utv's worked on should really give John a call.
  4. Will that get rid of the sticky hard residue?
  5. Anyone in the Wichita area know of a good shop???
  6. Does anyone know of a good shop around Wichita Kansas that would do this work for me?
  7. Does anyone have any good ideas of how to clean the excess castor 927 residue off the base of the exhaust?
  8. Probably a stupid question but why do I need to go up in piston size if I am just doing a hone on the cylinder?
  9. I did not measure them 6 ways. What started the rebuild was when I revved the motor up it made this swoosh sound out the exhuast with a cloud of smoke. It also wouldn't run without the choke on unless I held the throttle on. And it spit what looked like oil out the other exhaust. It is a totally stock 06 banshee that has never been rebuilt. I thought it was time and I am hoping the rebuild fixes the issues.
  10. I am planning on doing the first top end rebuild on my 06 banshee and I need to know what size pistons I need to buy. I am just going to hone the cylinders because they are in good condition. If I just hone the cylinder, cant I buy a stock 64mm piston or do I need to go up to the 64.5mm?
  11. LOL! I can't stop laughing at your guys comments. DirtyDownUnder, whats the difference between the stock intakes and the billet? Dont you still have to have the crossover is you have the billets? Just so you all know, I now do not plan to buy a boost bottle.
  12. What exactly is everyones issue with the boost bottles. I had one on my old 02 banshee that I had for 3 years and never had an issue with it. How much wight do they really add to the intake boots compared to the stock whatever that thing is called? I just sold my YFZ and bought a banshee and was thinking about putting a boost bottle on. Is there a alternative that works better than the boost bottle or should I just stay with the stock?

    CPI Pipes

Looking for a set of standard bore inframe CPI pipes for my 06 Banshee.
  14. No. I think I will try that next. Where can I pick up a compression tester?
  15. I just bought a 06 banshee, totally stock, for $2000. I got it home and now it only runs when the choke is on, it makes this "ka-cha" sound when I rev it up, and it spits out oil from the exhaust. It makes the weird noise from one exhaust and spits the oil out the other. Does anyone know what it could be? The only thing I have done so far is cleaned the filter and carbs and put new plugs in.
