Does anyone know what brand these pipes are? Any good?
thekevin replied to crazyj789's topic in General Banshee Discussion
The construction looks the same from the power pros and the ones you posted. -
After reading this terrible story I decided to do a little checking on my bike since I don't have a title for it. I found this website which supposedly searches for total loss and stolen and mine shows up clean, not sure how accurate it is. https://www.nicb.org/theft_and_fraud_awareness/vincheck/vincheck I am now looking for a way to see if it has a lien against it and what state it was last titled in.

Liens not leans, damn phone. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

Special06shee where do you run the vin to check for leans. Rustynail, hopefully the local law enforcement people won't be dicks since you helped them catch two counterfeiters and give you your bike back. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

Couple questions about setting up for trail riding.

The motor makes more than enough power for me already, it will smoke the 700 raptor with big 3 I had before getting this one. I have a trinity stage 4 head with 18cc domes ready to go on it but I am thinking I am going to swap out for some 21cc domes before it goes on, I'm not wanting to run race gas. Will the shorter swingarm make it wheelie worse than it does already. With the new taller tires it seems like the front is always off the ground. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 -
I had a great trade with Rustynail this week. Will do business with again.

Couple questions about setting up for trail riding.

I have changed a few things so far. I swapped out the 19/18 Sedona's for a new set of 21/20 GBC Xrex's and that really calmed this thing down. I also swapped the pods out for a stock air box, no lid, pro flow intake and k&n filter. I am very happy with the adjustment that made to the power band. I am running stock gearing now, but it is due for new sprocket soon so I will probably keep the rear factory size and go down a tooth in the front. I still haven't decided what shocks to get, I am happy with the rears but the fronts aren't very good. I see what you are saying about buying used shocks, I weigh 260lbs so it may be hard to find something that is setup for my weight. I am still very tempted to just buy a complete set of factory yfz450 a-arms with shocks and brakes, I think that would be a good upgrade to what I have now. I am waiting on the front tires to come in so now I only have the rears installed so once they get here I will snap some new pics. -
Was there ever a doubt. It is highly likely that bama wins again next year, especially if they can keep smart on the sidelines and away from another school. I hope the sec gets a chance next year to destroy a different non conference team in the title game but that may not be the case. Texas a&m and bama in the finals next year. Couple questions about setting up for trail riding.

What about exhaust, from what I am reading a good set of 2 into 1's gives the best low and midrange power. Will I notice a difference between them and my t5's. -

It's not just puddles but there are creek crossings everywhere I ride. I don't plan on doing much fast riding for the next 30 or 45 days until the weather gets better so I may start shopping for some suspension parts. -

The price is definitely biggest thing pointing me in that direction. What is a decent set of works or elkas gonna cost me. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 -

Do those outerwears not get caked up with stuff and start restricting air flow. As far as front shocks go I am planning on yfz450 shocks something in the next few months. -
My bike specs are in my sig and below is a pic of what I am starting with. I just swapped out the heavy ass DG chrome front and rear bumpers for some aluminum AC ones I bought from Hazzard today. I also took off the 19s and 18s and went with some 6ply GBC Xrexs in 21 and 20 and now back to factory gearing. It definately made it quite a bit milder, I may actually go back down a size on the front gear. My big question is about my air filter setup. Right now I have the UNI pods and I am pretty sure that I am going to try and find a factory box and run a pro flow single k&n setup with no lid. For trail riding what are the pro's and cons of running that setup vs. my pods. The reason I am wanting to do it is for protection from the elements because usually when done riding everything under there is covered in mud. I was hoping that the new setup would actually perform a little better in the woods than what I have right now.

Trick to starting in cold weather
thekevin replied to thekevin's topic in General Banshee Discussion
How cold are you talking. It is 35 here today and I just took it for a spin. It started second kick today but definately didn't run like normal, had a sputter the first couple of times coming on the throttle after riding easy for a little bit. -

Haha, I guess I do have $12k in my 2012 grizzly right beside it in the garage that starts up nice and easy and is much more comfortable to ride. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 -

I picked up some pyroil starting fluid with top end lube and it just took a tiny bit in one carb and it started first kick. I am off work tomorrow afternoon and I am going to pull the carbs off and see what jets are in it and sync the carbs. -
I started to tear my stock carbs down this evening for a good cleaning as you can see it needs and I noticed that the slides don't sit at the same spot when at idle. Is that something I need to look at while I have them apart.

Stock domes and head now. Would the trinity 2 into 1 be of any benefit. I don't really plan on going larger with the motor, it is fine the way it is. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

I recently bought the Banshee that is in my sig and wanted to get some opinions on carbs for it. It is currently running stock carbs and I wanted to know if they were good enough or if I needed to start looking some larger ones. I mostly just blast around on dirt roads and trails.

Trick to starting in cold weather
thekevin replied to thekevin's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Normally when it sits for a few days I kick it a couple of times with the switch off and then flip it on and it fires up on the first kick. I have no idea what jets are in it, I have only owned it for a few weeks. I guess it's time to take a look. -
When it gets cold I can kick and kick and it doesn't even try to start. The only thing I can do to get it started it to pull a plug out and heat it up with a lighter and then it fires right off.
