All I can say is sand is a lot softer than a tree. Good thing for helmets mine has a nice scrape by the right side probably would of been a lot worst if it was at camp. Take care Jenn.

Weather was hot low 90's in camp mid 90's on the sand and windy 30mph almost constant but that kept you cooler on the sand. Dunes were loose on the faces and very sharp you had to approach the top very carful or you could launch very easy either way up or down. Well it was noon and you know what time that is when you are camping. Second to the last dune heading to the north camp about 25' high. my buddies is leading about 10 feet ahead going pretty slow you know going about 10 mph catch a little air from the top land a few feet down and continue the cruise. But with the sand being so loose up top bad idea. I creast the top and see him dug in and going over at that point I knew what was instore me same thing. Nothing bad he strained his neck and I am getting my elbow checked by a DOC today to make sure nothing is screwed up. It was a good out of four of us three crashed but nothing serious and all the bikes survived. Hell mine should of been it rode me down the dune.

Just to follow up Boonman hit it kind of. It was a broke reed on the exhaust side, must have been drawing a vacuume and not letting the slide seat once it fired up. I was looking about beat and something said check the reeds. Bingo replaced and just like nothing happened. Sometimes it can be stupid shit. Thanks for all the advice.

I use teflon pipe tape. Just wrap it around the ports and but up to it, works well for me and is high temp.

Led go to 14mins.com there are some photos and directions. Last year there were trails in the woods and a small MX track. But they moved down the road a couple of miles so I dont know if the other stuff will be avaliable this year. Its may just be drag racing for the most part.

I went last year and plan on going this year also. Really a cool event. Its mainly geared to the Big 4 Strokes but there are plenty of 2 strokes to line up agianst. Its got me stumped. But I have not given up yet It doent seem to have any slack in the cable though. And tyhe real kicker is It just happened I didn't do anything to cause this that I know of.

I pulled the cable and looked it over really good, I couldn't see a problem but that doesn't mean there isn't one. I will get a new cable and try that.SREDISH as for the dune trip wish I could but got a busy weekend comming up. We will probably hit them a little later this month. Thanks the bent cable sounds as though that may be the prob. I cant seem to get the tension off the throttle no matter how much I adjust it. SREDISH do you ride Jills track or north forty any?

Should have mentioned that I run a single carb set up. How important is needle height? Could that be something to look at?

I have a twist throttle. It is working I can feel the slide in the carb moving it springs back as it should. But I kick it over and WFO it revs. I have to pull the kill switch too shut it down. Any clues? I pulled the carb and cleaned it. One thing I did notice at one time to kill it I went to pull a spark plug wire off an got shocked. I thought you could touch the plug plastic caps when its running and not get shocked. Need help please.
