  1. The state park.
  2. August 16th is booked.
  3. I took the morning off and took the time to talk to several builders.
  4. It's it on site? Ride from you site? Are there other alternatives available?
  5. What's the campground like?
  6. I'm not sure if I can get everything done in time. I might hold off for the next one. Is there one in August?
  7. No kids for that trip. Yes I meant mid July.
  8. I'm acquiring a set of stock bore, stock port virgin cylinders and having them ported along with a +4 long rod set up. I purchased a matching, no damage 2000 model year case. Mine has chain whack and a bad crack in the bottom that I had welded. I case ported the outside transfers to much. I went down to 4mm wide surface. I had a hard time getting the base gasket to seal. I had to double side yamabond the gasket to get it to seal. That's no good for long term reliability. I'm sending my bottom end in to the builder for them to disassemble and transfer and check parts going into the new cases. Getting the shift shaft mod done, starter idler bushing will get checked and everything else that may have a problem. Talking with Jeff at FAST he said that the lower case studs have an issue with air leaks from time to time. I'll make sure that mod gets done as well. Jay threw a lot of info at me and I like what he had the say the best out of everyone I talked to today. He suggested custom pistons as a possibility. He has a set coming that he's going to do some testing on the dyno to see how they work. I'm hoping to get this done before mid June for the Silver Lake ride. I'm not sure I can pull it off or not. I also have to fix my blaster for my GF. The case got whacked with the chain. So mo money, mo money, mo money.
  9. I don't have that "I got this" swagger. In the past I was trying to save money by doing it myself. Building the rest of the bike the way I wanted it was not cheap. I've done nothing but read and ask tons of questions. I did the best I could with the jugs I got this spring before our big bay trip. Yes I didn't realize to cc the compression chamber. I did it right away when you suggested it. Yes I didn't know that 420 jets was a sign that something was wrong. At that point it was too late. I had to make due with what I had. But again I've never claimed to know it all. I've always stated that I was here to learn. I have 2k saved up for a decent build. That was not an easy task in its self. So give me some credit for being honest, polite and sticking it out!
  10. Mine was stolen in 2002 two months after I moved to Milwaukee. I was depressed for months and quit auto mechanics for 4 years.
  11. John! I am listening. I'm having a builder do it this time. I couldn't afford it last year to have it done professionally. As for the grand national remarks. I really don't appreciate that.
  12. Before I owned a banshee it worked out great. I built a 11 second Grand National several years ago. Banshee is a different animal. The only issue I'm having is trying to do my own port work. As always the verbal bashing and insults just keep coming.
  13. I'm used to building my own stuff and not paying through the nose.
  14. You guys can quit bashing now. I'm going to bite the bullet and buy my product through the builder.
  15. I'm used to the verbal bashing. Some members on here are real dickheads.
  16. I would be ahead in time
  17. There was nothing wrong with the parts I purchased. I over did it with the porting. The only part that gave me issues was the cfm air box. I don't have a problem buying from the builder as long as it is reasonably priced.
  18. I've bought tons of parts off eBay that work just fine.
  19. Ok, hot rods it is. I have a PayPal credit so it's very easy to buy on eBay
  20. Can anyone input on this if its any good? http://www.ebay.com/itm/400306782781?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  21. That's what I'm going to do when I have the time during the day. I've been insanely busy. I about to hire some help. I'm calling FAST first.
  22. No, I don't. I go to my fav's and it goes directly to the forums. Today I looked for a sponsor page and I found the list on the home page. There are too many to chose from.
  23. I had an 87 j arm. After some research I quickly realized there were many more choices and better prices for after market a arms. I picked up a 93 frame for $220 shipped and some used +3 full flights for $200
