  1. On my blaster stock ratio was 12/40. I'm running 15/39 and the thing tops out at 60mph with 20" tires.
  2. What is the biggest you can go in the front and smallest in the rear? What would that gearing get you for mph?
  3. My target hp is 65-70. What is the stock front size? What is the stock top speed?
  4. What size should I go with. I'm mostly trail riding. I would like enough top end to pass up a raptor.
  5. There are a ton of choices on ebay. I'm hoping somone has some input. Looking for something that will hold up longer. What are the pro's and con's of chromoly?
  6. Does anyone make an airbox for a single carb? I know that cfm makes it for the dual setup. I have a cfm for my blaster and it works great. The filter never gets wet. I worry about an exposed air filter getting wet on the trails.
  7. Functionality and affordabiltity is more important to me then looks.
  8. I've seen that Pro Design Cool Head domes will work for Noss? Is this true. Is there any other domes that are interchangable with Noss head?
  9. I don't know how wide the stock one is. Axle is gone. I have no way measuring. I want to get one that will put my total width at 48" wide. I will be running 10" wide ITP's.
  10. I want to update my 25 year old rear shock. Should I just get another stocker off a new machine or is there an affordable option? Does anything else swap over like a 400ex shock? I put a 400ex on my blaster and it made a world of difference.
  11. I gave my orginal coil to my friend when his broke down. I want to update the 25 year old coil. Whats the favorite choice for a replacement?
  12. I contacted one seller that has six pack racks. He didn't have a recommondation for a gas tank that fits nice and snug. You guys have any input on that?
  13. Does anyone run the IMS 4.0 gallon tank. The clarke is way too big for my likes. My buddy put one on his machine and his turning radius was cut in half from it. He found a set of 6" handle bar risers to overcome the larger tank. I just don't like the way it looks. The only other option is to get a six pack rack and haul a gas can around.
  14. Forgot to add when temp goes down you go up in main jet size.
  15. Here is a great vid for plug chopping to determine where your main jet is at. If its black its too rich, if its grey its too lean. If its a brown mocca color its gravy. This vid shows where the main an pilots are on your carb. A good rule of thumb: The pilot controls your idle to say 20-25% of your throttle. The needle controls 25%-90% of throttle. The main controls throttle at wide open or WOT. (wide open throttle) Every time you make a modification change you change how much air and fuel your motor will consume. If you put larger pipes on it you will need more fuel and air. Therefore you will have to go to a larger jet. What no one else talked about was air temp. When you air temp drops the colder the air is and the more dense it is. More air, need more fuel. Every 10 degrees you should go up one jet size. Humidity will also have an effect. If you dont know the answers to your questions you can find the majority of the answers just by searching this website. If you can't find them here then look on a google search.
  16. I was wondering if I should replace my 25 year old wire harness with a new model year harness and cdi. Are there any advantages with the newer model cdi's?
  17. 1: That example was for new oem cases. 2: Don't have a hot rods account. 3: If I could delete this tread I would so I don't have to listen to all the complaints! Here I thought I might be helping another member out instead of paying through the nose at the dealer. Just forget I even tried!
  18. What is your sea level elevation?
  19. I take it wildcard is a bhq member.
  20. Are the newer generation CDI's better then say my 87 CDI. 97 and up looks to be all the same.
  21. I have a real job. I do ATV sales, service and salvage. I also do auto service. If you don't like my ad you need not comment. I am self employed and times are tough. Just trying to make some extra $ and save someone some $ in the process. I posted the same ad in a few other boards I belong to. You guys are the only ones that have a problem with it.
  22. There are several choices out there. Is an adjustable the better route to go. Or a pre programed one? 1: Adjustable http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACKBOX-Adjustable-CDI-ECU-Ignition-Rev-Box-Yamaha-Banshee-350-97-98-99-00-01-/140790807541?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20c7c93bf5&vxp=mtr 2: Pre Programmed http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMR-RACING-PERFORMANCE-CDI-REV-BOX-YAMAHA-BANSHEE-350-YFZ350-PARTS-97-06-STAGE-3-/130789650930?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e73abb1f2&vxp=mtr
  23. Who is a good vendor for this?
  24. Found this after several searches. All years of Banshees have a 1 piece wiring harness and the various components plug into it. Wire harnesses are as follows:89-94, some say 87 &88 are in this group, others say they are different,95-96,97-2001, 2001-2006 in USA. CDI boxes:(87)89-94, 95-96, 97-2006. Stators:87-94, 95-2006. Voltage regulators and coils are the same for ALL years. Took a look on the parts fiche and a 2000 and 2001 wire harness are the same number. Back to 1997. Before 97 its discontinued and there are no part numbers on the fiche.
