One of the needles on my carb is a little bent I noticed when I was syncing them. I know of jets r us . But I have no idea what type of needles a stock banshee uses. Does anyone know ?

what exactly does upgrading your reeds do? i never really knew and was just wondering. and what are good brands or types ?

i replaced the head gasket after riding it for 20 mins and then rode it for about 30 mins with the new gasket. when i ride it i was babying it but it ran great, it felt like it wanted to take right off, but it still smoked alot. the coolant level in the radiator didnt seem to move much so i dont know.

i have ran it for about 1 hour total since the first start up on rebuild. i have been babying it for that hour . how would i clear the moisture out?

i think it smells like coolant. i dont think its oil burning. how do i do a leakdown test and what does that check for?

i recently rebuilt the topend of my banshee, she started up on the 5th kick and now starts either the first or second kick. while breaking it in it the exhausts blew out alot of white smoke, and it smelt really bad. not like my friends banshee. so i assumed the head gasket was bad and bought a new one. after replacing it, it still does the same thing. the exhausts blow out a lot of smoke, its white, and it does not smell normal. what do you think could be my issue? thanks for the help -Hunter

i think my head gasket went bad because my right exhaust has alot of white smoke that comes out of it. i already ordered a new one but it will not be in until one week. i was planning on riding this weekend with a few buddies. would it be bad to run my banshee the way it is? or should i just wait until i replace it.? thanks for the help

has anyone every thought about putting the yamaha rd500 engine into a banshee?

the stud going into the cylinder does not move, the part that moves is the nut on the top of the studs threads. the threads on the top of the stud are stripped.

how do i put a sleeve in it? and what is a heilcoil?

i just started putting my top end back together after getting my cylinders bored and honed and i was torqueing everything to 20ft lbs gradually and it was all good until i put the head on and one of the bolts will not torque to 20ft lbs. every single other bolt is perfect except one. it just keeps spinning but is pretty tight. do you guys think i am fine to run it like this? if i do what am i risking? thanks,

i got a 1995 banshee that was a rolling chassis and the motor out that needed a topend rebuilt. now looking through the parts i got, the electrical is missing the control unit, and the ignition switch(key). i will buy the control unit, but was wondering if i could still start my banshee when its all put together without the ignition key

they are gonna get me the pistons and do it all themselves. im just sending the cylinders and there sending my back bored cylinders with the piston kit and gaskets ready to bolt on. for $330

i am getting my stock cylinders sent out to get bored and i feel stupid asking this but it is my first time..and i also forgot to ask the company. do i also send them the head? or just the cylinders

ive been calling around and to bore them out some people said 150 a hole and one guy said 85 a hole and that guy was really nice and there company has alot of great reviews so im gonna go with them, does 85 sound right for each hole?

ok so i am rebuilding my banshee and i have not bought the pistons yet. this is my first time doing this ever. currently my cylinders are stock but one has a deepish gouge. i have no idea about the bore sizes and what to do. i would like to get both my cylinders bored and then buy the piston kit to match. but what do i do? do i first buy the pistons then bring them when i get my cylinders bored? or do i tell the shop to bore it a certain width and then buy the pistons to match. also how much is it to bore cylinders? anyone know any places in new hampshire that could do it or do i have to send them out? thanks

i need the right cylinder. i already bought the piston kit for stock bore so .. i need a stock right cylinder. i cant buy an oem one there 400 dollars. noone has one laying around that could sell it to me?
