  1. Thanks.portings definately on the to do list but i thought when i did maybe i could do what the neighbor did and get some new bigger sleeves? Just out of curiousity how big of sleeves can you install in stock jugs?
  2. Had a question about big bore options for my shee.Neighbor kid just had a local shop put in a vitos sleeve making his blaster a 240cc.This got me wondering if i could buy sleeves to put in my jugs to do the same? What besides buying a whole kit can you do to get a big bore setup? I dont really have a specific size in mind and dont want to have a small fortune in doing it.But is it possible to mix match stuff and it live?
  3. I had a similar issue then had no spark it ended up being my pick up.Had no reading at all from it.
  4. This sounds like a neat build any pics of it?
  5. Why not have a builder rebuild your stocker with new parts then true/weld it?You already got the crank just need parts and labor.
  6. Im running T5 exhaust kit, stock engine, stock carbs and K&N. I got the exhaust on jetted the carbs at 280 mains,27.5 pilots,1 3/4 turns on air screw, stock jet needles in the middle clips. But then i realized i had a head gasket leaking so i didnt get to really check it out. But now its back together and im wanting to make sure i got it pretty close to being jetted correctly. I do have 290's but toomey recommended 280 with their kit.Should i run the 290's? I dont have a lot of seat time on the new set up yet. but the time i do have has given the color of cardboard a light brown/tan sound right?
  7. what did this work cost you and do you have pics?
  8. Really??? Got any pics of this setup im curious....
  9. Sounds like something more fitting at home on a ricer of some sort installed by some white kid with his pants around his knees a hoodie with something ghetto fabulous on it and a flat billed hat kicked to one side and every other word from his mouth is "N*GGA". Seriously it sounds dangerous.
  10. Well ive decided after mocking up the gauge i dont like the way it looks and thought about a cheap faze brand electric gauge i pulled out of an older nissan a friend scrapped. I got the gauge sending unit and wiring how do i do this with no battery? Will it work without a battery just off the stator like the lights do? I think i can hide the sending unit wire easier and better than the big funky mechanical gauges sending unit lead.
  11. HOLY SHIT!!!! That was done by hand? Or is that a machine? Thats what i want mine to look like!
  12. Good so it will work. These autometers are pretty tough so we shall see. My next question is what is the normal operating temp? i dont boil over now or anything and someone has just ran the overflow hose down over the pipe and i never see or smell coolant do i need an over flow bottle if im not puking coolant? Also any of you already running this got any pics of your install? And possibly a parts list to complete it.
  13. Ive seen the inline temp gauges and wondered is there a way to use an automotive style gauge dash mounted without buying a trail tech? I thought maybe a T fitting and a few couplers to adapt the mechanical gauge to it?Or possibly tapping the radiator for the gauge to thread in to?Just a few ideas is this doable or stupid and not worth the time or effort? I have a few autometer gauges from various cars over the years so id be looking at rigging up the fittings is all. What do you guys think? I also have some different models of tachs in various sizes any way of honkey engeering one to fit and read accurately?
  14. How well do those hold up?
  15. My mods are T5's,K&N,and boysen reeds for now. Im looking at agressive trail porting and an aftermarket head as we speak. Will these carbs have to be modded for the chokes to work the way the stock carbs do?Or will i have 2 seperate chokes?
  16. I read on here that stock carbs will support 60hp but with my mods consisting of T5's,k&n,boysen reeds, say i do go with the agressive trail port will i be exceeding that 60hp?At what level of mods do the stock carbs become the bottle neck in performance? I forgot ill be adding an aftermarket head and whatever domes the builder recommends.
  17. Im not looking to port them my self. So hjr is a top porter here? Im going to call a few this week whats the going rate on a set of the agressive trail porting? From what ive read here that seems to fit the majority of riding we do.
  18. No unfortunately the guy i got the banshee from says he cant find them. And most on ebay are ridiculously priced. And if i spend any large chunk of change on a set i want the set i seen mattscss sells
  19. Theres a buncha people going riding and camping next weekend and im in need of a cheap set of lights for the shee say from walmart or autoparts store. Im planning on buying the setup a member makes here matscss but theyre out of my price range right now. What is a cheap alternative until i can afford the good ones from here?
  20. Who is that? He a member or something?
  21. Good deal thanks!
  22. We have a salvage yard for atvs i just found out a few towns over and i was reading that the 28-33mm carbs are better. Do the carbs have to be banshee specific? If not what can i get carbs off of? I called the guy he has everything from mopeds to personal watercrafts and anything in betweem said if i knew what i needed i was free to come by and rummage. What do i need to look for?
  23. good info there. what is the 2-1 setups good for? also while on the 2-1 subject how are those pipes?
  24. http://www.ebay.com/itm/230768859067?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 These worth a damn? I see a lot of variations and makers of the same thing here. Im not concerned with site sponsoring or brand names i want quality who makes the best head for performance and reliability?
  25. Are these custom made? If so can you build them with colored led's? Say pink or purple? A few of the other girls in our group have some generic looking led setups id like some that are colored for my shee.
