I do mostly trail and some sand time to time. I want to get a happy medium between better low end and more high end. Should i change my sprockets or leave them stock?
Ya jets are good i might need to go one size up maybe... no snorkle and with the mods im running currently i dont think i should beat them but i am new to banshees. Im deffinitly thinking port job and cool head also a +4 stator plate. Just as of right now.
Ya i do mostly trail riding but i just did my first dune adventure which was great but i couldnt keep up with some four strokes. Stayed with my buddies suzuki 450r and built 400 till 4th i want to beat them badly haha. I deffinitly wanna do the cool head and probably a port job on my stock stuff for now. And probably some different pipes.
Mine did all the same stuff minus the trans issue.. but i cleaned my carbs just to sure. Still died so i checked my wires turned out i had a bad connection on one plug. Fixed it and kickes everytime doesnt die.. go through ur harness just to be sure u dont have a short or bad connections. Might not be getting consistant spark..
So i while cleaning my shee today i noticed right below the wires for the stator there was a hole in my case perfect circle. Is that a vent that i popped it out while riding perhaps? bike runs good just leaks what appears to be trans fluid. Worried about getting crap in there more than what might of already.. still learning this is my first atv.
New to banshee's well atvs in general. Looking to make more power on my shee. I already have fatty pipes, bored 30 over, tors eliminator, and pods instead if intake. I got a buget of around 500 bucks right now. What should i be looking into?
Im cleaning my carbs in the morning thats for sure double checking to see if they are synced still and hopefilly grabbing more parta for them while im at the dunes as well might end up spending most the day messing with the carbs.
Im located in northern il would be nice for it to come locally or kinda close dont mind a little drive. Will pay cash. Pretty much looking for anything electrical on the bike.
Pull start with the truck is my best bet if my bike decides to hate me in the morning... gonna mess with my carbs picked up new needles today so pop those in toss my stocks should help
I got the choke pipe on perhaps im off on my choke adjustment.. um i guess ill toss my fmf needles on in the morning and just have someone pull start me when we get there and mess with the idle after i ride for a bit hopefully some guys are out there that will be kind enough to hwlp a fellow shee owner out if need be... ill toss my 280's in as well just to be safe and not blow up
Well what i dont understand is with the 240 jets it starts but wouldnt the 270's unless i pull started it and im puffing a little smoke with the 240 but barely any
Anyone gonne be up at silver this weekend? Would be nice to meet some people from here even more so cuz im new to 2 strokes and would like to learn a little while im there... hopefully i will get my shee to start without a kick start right off the bat..
Messed with the carbs and i got it to start but inconsistently. When i did i had to keep on the throttle otherwise it died. I was 2 turns out on the idler screw and the air screw about 2.5 maybe a little less... changed my jets to 240's from 270 left the stock pilots. What am i missing to keep it idling turn in more or less? Or even drop one more jet i cant get it to start consistant enough to get the idle right...
Well i was also told buy a guy at work to check my choke make sure thats adjusted right which im thinking its not i usef to have to crack the throttle to start my bike. Now i pretty much have to jave it half way open and no start... what about the aor screw i have it 1.5 turns out is that right? And to adjust my choke as well?
