  1. the main reason i want a 2 into 1 is for easy tuning and im not looking to race at all all the guys i ride with have 4x4s so a barely running banshee would wup up on them all day. I had just heard that they are way easier to tune and i think they look really clean also
  2. correct i will be running stock motor with weisco's and a 2 into 1 chariot but basically i want more low end and to tame it down a lil bit cause the build that it was before was a lil much for the trail. I do have a vitos hemi 2 head
  3. did a search and the two places i ride are between 800-900 above sea level
  4. im in cottage grove mn and im about 10 min from st paul but i ride in danbury wisconsin two hours northeast of the twin cities, but i will give jeff a call as i need a quite a few parts only part that i have purchased is a vitos crank standard length and a flywheel puller. So i suppose i will just get the rest from him thanks again for all the support
  5. starting a fresh rebuild want it to be reliable as possible has a vitos hemi head 2 on it what domes to use only riding it on the trails, so i want something no to crazy fast rest of the build is going to be a vitos crank and rods and wiseco pro lites and a chariot 2 into 1 set up. so any help on what dome size to use would be great
  6. yes you are correct i did mean skirt, and thanks i will give him a call do the hot rod ones come trued and welded
  7. starting a fresh build after my pro lite squirt broke off on my left cyclinder. So to be safe seeing how the crank and rods look like they took a hit at problably at 8000 rpms from that piston squirt. just wondering what everybody runs and where they get it from i.e. sit sponsor or whatever also looking to do a stock build only running it on the trails.
  8. I already have jugs but the are bored out to 66mm already which im pretty sure is the max bore on them also the jugs are in terrible shape as one of the piston skirts broke and chewed it up, so that was why i was looking for a jug and piston combo
  9. i wrote a post a couple of weaks ago and did what everybody had said compression was shit so i did a leakdown that was fine tore it apart and the left piston squirt exploded, google the part number came back to be a 66mm pro lite. So now i am going to be putting a crank in it and new jugs and pistons, and then i want to run a 2 into 1 chariot set up. As far as the the crank goes i have seen a vitos one on ebay for like 350 or fast has one for 400 a hot rods one for 400 now either way i am not looking for a absolute screamer, i want something dececntly fast yet reliable it is going to strictly be a trail machine. as far as pistons go are the weiscos decent because on ebay i have seen jug and piston sets for around 500 including rings and wrist pins and all that good stuff. and as for pipes i have pro circuit platinum. so any opinions or help would be much appreciated as this is my first build
  10. polished throttle cover, brake resevoir cover, and handle bar clamp with igniton hole
  11. just wondering if anyone has had any luck dealing with mod quad i realize they make good parts, but is there customer service good
  12. the factory igniton switch is ugly as hell and mine is in kinda ruff shape (at one time somebody must have put a switch or something in there cause they cut a hole in it) either way i think its ugly and im getting new handle bars and want to get rid of it. obviously i could just wire it to where it always starts but then somebody would have alot easier time stealing it so wondering what you guys do. because alot of you have really clean machines
  13. thanks, for all the input just ordered a set of pro tapers off ebay look like decent bars
  14. hello everyone, looking to buy new handle bars. wondering whats ones are good renthal verse pro taper, what is diameter of stock ones 7/8 or no cause most of them look like they are 7/8. thanks for all the help
  15. doing a complete rebuild on my shee, only riding will be trail riding. right now i bought it set up for racing, now low power at all, and a bastard to tune. looking for a good trail set up with more low end torque and mid rather than just at 9 or 10 grand. they have a nice kit on ebay with an air striker carb and kn and a prewrap for 425, so let me know if any one has tried it and your personal expeirence. thanks
  16. i will be checking compression and a leak down test tonight, and will post up tommorow
  17. hello, so i bought a 98 banshee from my work, at my dealership for 750 bucks cause it didnt run worth the shit. It has kehin i believe 34 or 38 mill carbs, v force 3 reeds, platinum pro circuit pipes, and was just taking it apart because late last year when i got it every time i would have to ride it i would have to pull start it. (like pull it behind another wheeler and pop the clutch) So i have been reading alot on hear about how they run and what not, but am new to banshee's. now when it would run it would take a little bit for the left cyclinder to start up like a few hundred feet but once it was warmed up it was fine and stupid, stupid, fast, hence why i found and org and now love the machine. so my riding style is more or less going to be trail riding and thats in live in the twin cities in mn. just wondering what any of you thought would make it a good trail machine, and by the way the cyclinders say knapp racing on the sides of the jugs, but dont have the rest apart yet, because i am waiting to pressure test it but when i took the exhaust off it poured apprx. 1 quart of fuel out of each pipe. by the way i am new to banshee but am a master certified chrysler mechanic for the last 5 years, so not a dumbass so i would appreciate any and all help. thanks again
