  1. I found it on there but its a minimum purchase of 10 units, so I would have to buy 10 or more of them
  2. Could you send me a link to a listing? I tried searching UK ebay and couldn't find anything
  3. I know this is an old thread, but for the love of Jesus, where do I get one?!?!?! Any website or ebay listing links are much appreciated
  4. I use Lucas Semi-Synthetic 2 stroke oil and I can't find anything I don't like about it. Its good stuff IMO. 32:1 is the ratio I use... I might run a bit rich on the oil but rich is better than lean! My whole entire Banshee smells like Klotz oil from the previous owner who used it religiously. I love Klotz but it is hard to get where I live... I usually try to run 93 octane premium in the 'shee but in a pinch I'll end up with 89 regular
  5. sometimes when I am not worried about the head I use a hard screwdriver handle, its plastic so it usually doesn't do much damage but I suppose you could crack the head pretty easily. If you got it for free, do yourself a favor, wack this one off with whatever it takes and buy yourself a cool head and some domes....
  6. Have you seen it in person yet? I bought my second Banshee from a guy who bought it at a government auction. Under the seat in there is a small box area indented in the plastic and there is a flip-up plastic panel that you can pop open, in NC they put a "Siezed Propterty blah blah blah" sticker on the inside of that pop up plastic panel... see if you can find an ID sticker anywhere on it, and call the auction house with the ID number and see if they can confirm that it was sold from an auction house. or just see if he has documents to back up his story
  7. I'd try the "For Sale/Wanted" section of the forum, theres usually someone parting out a Banshee or selling some stock parts. and if the 5150 part of your username comes from the Van Halen album or song 5150, then
  8. Ahh I see what your saying. thats a damn good idea! I'll have to do that, it definitally beats prying and beating...
  9. Well, in general whenever looking at a quad, lift up the back end and check for wobbling in the axle, if so, it needs bearings/seals. Also check the front end. Look for bends or kinks in the frame anywhere... also look and make sure the bars aren't bent. Bent handlebars=been in a rollover crash. just general stuff.
  10. I think it was a joke, but if he serious he shouldn't be on this forum lol. I went down there and spent about 20 minutes bending and didn't end up getting anything to work... I could only get the ends bent, I think my adjustable wrench's sides aren't long enough... I'm starting to get angry . I'll get workin' tomorrow with a giant pair of 3 foot long channel lock pliers I got at a yard sale for 5 bucks...
  11. I gotta get some cash, I wanna get my flywheel lightened, shift star modded, and my new shocks fitted. Luckily I have ample time to do so
  12. I had a fully built national pro class MX quad based off a 250R with a YZF426 motor and it had around $15k invested. I sold it and bought my banshee and I love the Banshee sooo much more. Now, for the clutch sound, it is extremely common for you to hear a tinging sound from the clutch side, almost like dropping a penny, like a metallic rattling. Thats the O-ring in the kick start lever going out and the kick start rattling. its very common and my Banshee does it. If he fires it up and it makes the metallic rattling sound from the clutch side, grasp the kick start firmly and see if the sound stops.... thats usually the problem
  13. Sheaerer in frames are top end pipes, I have them on my 'Shee. they increase your revs and are some of the best drag pipes on the market but you lose a lot of low end. The porting on your 392 kit also matters a lot.
  14. I'm going for sure! How much extra for lighting are we talking?
  15. Okay. Whats the best way to go about that? Adjustable wrench on the tabs and hit with a hammer? Vice grips clamped to the tabs and hit with hammer?
  16. They are stock banshee. Theres no logical reason they wouldnt fit my banshee
  17. Like i said... I tried to put stock shocks in my banshee and they would not fit... It had short shocks when i got it but if i cant get my stockers to work then the short ones are going back on with spacers...
  18. Hey guys. I picked up a nice banshee but it was lowered in the front with aftermarket shocks. I picked up a project Banshee a few days ago and attempted to swap the stock shocks from it to my lowered Banshee and strangely enough, they dont fit! Stock a arms, stock frame, stock shocks, and the shock eyelets dont fit in the mounting holes on the frame upper mounts... They dont look bent in any way and appear to be too strong to bend anyway. I dont understand it and need my banshee to have more than 5 inches of ground clearence for trail riding. HELP
  19. WHOO HOOO! Thanks guys, you guys are life savers! I cut a piece of fuel line to fit in between the carbs and popped it on and go figure, fired right up and ran perfect! I am so happy right now. I get to go riding tomorrow!
  20. Guess I'm after a new set of plastics
  21. I love the look of the special edition banshees that are yellow with the vintage Yamaha chain link logo, but I have to ask, other than graphics/plastics, is there anything that makes them different then a normal banshee? like motorwise or suspension wise?
  22. I hear that Flowtek's aggressive trail porting is a great mod, I don't have any porting yet though. I have bear claw tires on and those are some of the best I have ran. My Shearer in frame drag pipes and stock carbs with Uni clamp ons is pretty badass off road. I never tried to advance the timing before...
  23. I took apart the carbs 1 at a time and seperated all the parts so in theory everything should match, but with my luck I mighta mixed something up, I'll install a crossover tube tomorrow and see if it runs... Cool, I'll put the tube on tomorrow and see if it fires. if not, I'll take everything apart and sort it out...
  24. Thanks. I'll take the carbs off tomorrow and put in the crossover tubes and see if she fires! could I use standard 1/4 inch fuel line to make a new tube? or is it a smaller/bigger size? I have 1/4 inch tubing, 3/8 inch tubing, and 5/16 inch tubing....
  25. Yes, I gave it the whole 9 yards, took it all apart and cleaned it real good. I don't have the crossover tube between the carbs so I have to figure out where that goes and put one on.
