evertime my bike had dark black lines lines on plug chops it was a size or 2 too rich. i would richen it up first though and retry. if its indeed too rich start leaning it down.
Yeh but the line at the bottom is a very light brown closer to white.

I´m not a pro, but I would do it again with same main jet´s. Make sure, your motor is warmed up good. Also try to find a good place to make that run. = long enough.
Motor was warmed up, we did it at the end of the day of riding and we did it on a big straight, maxed out to 6th gear.

This is for a friend. He did a plug chop yesterday, I say it looks a little on the lean side and should go 1 size up though I'm no expert so that's why I'm posting here.

If the brake light doesn't get sold, I call dibs. Just let me know shipping cost to Sydney, Australia.
Also maybe the skid plate if shipping isn't much considering the size of the item.

Not sure what to say Haas.
My cyls and head are stock, are yours?
How rich is your oil/fuel mix?
If you run more oil in your mix than I do, then that's part of the reason.
I run 18oz of Yamalube 2R to 5 gallons of 91 octane which is 36:1.
I've put 20 gallons of fuel thru it jetted as so at the dunes.
If it was too lean, it would've melted down long ago.
Yeh mine is stock head. I run motul 800 at 50:1 with 98 octane fuel

Well it all depends on how much damage the overheating did. Did you keep in running long after it started overheating or did you shut it off straight after it started overheating?

My 02 rides at sea level on the west coast.
Mods are in my sig.
Why does he think the motor is lean?
Has he done a proper plug chop?
I would think with his mods, 280's are very, very close, but I don't know what DMC's like for jetting.
IMO, 320's would be very rich with his mods, but like others have said, run the 320's and see how she feels.
Thats odd, im at 4500ft above sea level and temps are like 40-60F degrees with dmc pipes, k&n filter with airbox lid on and I am on 300 mains with 27.5 pilot.
-
Well doesnt it really all depend on how cold/hot it is outside?
If it is cooler you have to go up in size on the mains and if it is hotter you have to go down on the mains though I dont know if that applies to pilot jets, does it?

How much for Front a-arms shipped to Australia?
-
Yeah I liked pro circuit platinum's, they sound good. I also like the T 5's and T6's. I ended up getting the DMC 916's. Still installing them. It really came down to these three for me. I just recently heard a set of Bill's pipes?? They sounded bad ass too.
You made the right decision.

Ah k well I'm on Android so maybe it's an issue with android Tapatalk.
-
I can edit a reply I just made but if I make a new thread I can't delete that thread or edit the original post. It's an issue with Tapatalk for me.
Also you on iPhone or Android?
-
I messaged one of the Tapatalk people and they asked me for the forum url so maybe they're gonna fix it.
-
Which a arms ? Stock or the aftermarket ?
The $75 ones
-
OK will wait for more updates I guess.
-
A arms shipped to Sydney, Australia, how much?
-
coz u fail and yur gay
Harden up you princess, are you still pissed off at a few comments I made about you.
-
Piece of shit Tapatalk, just updated it and now I don't even have an option to edit a thread a just made.
-
Is anyone else having the same issue?
I can delete a post through Tapatalk on other forums but I can't on this forum anymore. Usually I highlight the post and a tools button pops up at the top now that's not there anymore it's only an edit button in it place.
-
Also if you have a PC and have Microsoft Excel use this
https://www.dropbox.com/s/8a6doz57nstiqj9/Banshee digital toolkit.b1
Should get you pretty close to the right jetting.
-
Bump up your pilots to 27.5 and play with your air/fuel mixture. Also do you have a stock air filter?
Plug chop for a friend. Hoe do they look?

Well he is running t6. I'll tell him to go one up. Better to be on the richer side.
