I liked the look of the mod quad the most. Have guys had issues with it?

sorry got my mm and inches mixed up. My new base gasket is 0.0196 and the old one was 0.0118 (a difference of 0.0078). By using this thinner gasket I could drop my squish from 0.050 to 0.042. How much would this impact my compression? Would this affect port timing much?

I must be wrong on the base gasket thickness. I will double check tonight.

Squish is 0.050 with a base gasket of 0.050. Changing the base gasket would affect the port timings slightly though would it not?

So I wanted a little more from my 421 Serval this year so had the cylinders ported and went from 24cc domes to 20cc domes. My compression only increased 10 lbs. I went from 150 lbs last year to 160 lbs this year. I expected more from the new domes. The builder that did the work this year did provide a thicker base gasket which I assume is matched to his domes. The squish measures 0.050 with this new setup, right where he said it would. Two questions: 1. With only 160 lbs compression do I need to bother with race gas. I fully intended on running race gas with this new set up but also expected to see higher compression numbers. 2. Should I drop 0.010 thickness on my base gasket essentially bringing the squish down to 0.040 and raising the compression? I know that a compression reading only says so much but I want to ensure I am pulling everything possible I can from this motor and not leaving anything on the table. This motor only has two seasons on it so don't think the top end is shot. Everything looked solid when I sent the cylinders off earlier in the year. Any advice you can provide is appreciated.

I have a 421 serval now and starting to think of my next motor. Looking at a 521 10 mil super serval. Would this be considered a big bore and require big bore exhaust? Does these cylinders use the same heads and intakes? Thanks.

I recently went from 35 pwks to 39s with new filters to match. My snipers were a tight fit before and now I cant see how I wont consistently burn air filters. I am considering going out of frame pipes but unsure as I do dune/trail a little as well. Any suggestions?

Hey Guys, I have a 421 serval I am building that I hope to be in the 95hp range and will need some paddles. I have always used Skat Trak Extremes and want to continue with them but unsure what size. I do about 50% hill climbs 45% drags and the remaining 5% is going from camp to one of the locations. The sand we ride here is similar to Orgeon and we do plan to do a couple trips to St. Anthonys each year. I seen a few four strokes this year running 23 inch tall paddles and it looks sick. I see most two strokes running 22, how come? Would 11 paddles to be much/too little? Thanks!

Hey guys, Bought these two years ago from FAST along with the intakes and upgrading to 39s. They have very little use and in great shape. Looking for $320 with intakes.

I can't see how it will fit but guess I am going to have to try. What purpose do they serve? Are they really there just to stop the bearing from spinning?

I can get replacements but not sure it will slip over crank... anyone have any experience?
