  1. Ordering some smaller pilots to try. Went through and checked compression, squish answer leak down. All was within special.
  2. Trying to jet a buddies bike and not familiar with mikuni. Here is his set up: 421 cc cub 4mm 115 hotrods crank wiseco blaster pistons cases are ported to match cub cylinder 2.86 straight cut gears 41mm KnT carbs with pj delta force 3 reeds upp intakes 196 ex 130 transfers full drag port (stock hieghts) cool head shell ( with custom 19cc domes ) SCP small bore drags +6 degrees timming stock ignition The jetting is currently 260 main 65 pilot and a 6fj41 needle on the lowest clip. We are at 3000ft elevation. The problem we are facing is it falls on its face out of the hole. Not only will it not launch second gear you can't even launch first. No obvious signs of rich or lean. I am at a loss. Any suggestions?

    Rear shock

What are you guys doing for a rear shock on your bikes? I have a stock rear shock with upgraded eibach spring but don't think I will be able to lower it enough. Last event I entered I could not keep the front down and was told I need to get the swing arm to -6 degrees. What are my options? Don't want to do a shaw as I do trail/dune and hillshoot with the same machine. Thanks.
  4. Hahah gust you know you will be in the loop if I pull the trigger
  5. So what would i need to look at; Head and domes, crank, ported cylinders, pistons and maybe pipes? I have a lock out, modded tranny, straight cuts and billet basket.
  6. I currently have a 421 serval and have pondered the idea of upgrading to a 521 super serval. Passed on what i have seen i could potientially see a 20hp increase if built correctly. I am curious how many parts will transfer over. Will my noss head and intakes/reeds work with a super? I believe my 39 pwks and shearer oof sb pipes will work...
  7. Afraid to adjust more float height. Don't want to drain the bowls.
  8. Possum these are brand new carbs and my 2nd set to do the same.
  9. Hey all I know many of you run UPP intakes and never have issues yet I have found a few of us that do and can't find a resolution. For those that have had UPPs and carbs that won't stop overflowing have you found a resolution? I tried increasing the float height and bending the tube to account for the angle but had little success. Is there another option for intakes that will have less carb angle? Inaddition, on a recent trip i found gas leaking from the vent tubes on the sides 9f the carbs as well. What would cause this?Photo attached for refrence
  10. I had the same problem with my pwks and upp intakes. To much of an angle. I lowered the float height 2mm and bent the overflow tube upright. Saw this on a ktm site I believe.
  11. What jetting/carbs/elevation did you run?
  12. Plugs are at end of day. Have pingle. Don't think it's suckling bowls dry, runs strong up top
  13. 165 main, dgh middle clip, 52 pilot. 3200 feet elevation. Ported.
  14. 108 octane mixed 32:1 castrol 927
  15. you can see the blueish purple 10 inches from the cylinder and again at the stinger. wouldn't say these are lean at all
  16. From what I have been told previously if your exhaust changes color it is likely due to excessive heat. This seems accurate in my case as yesterday we did some riding and it was cool and damp out and in 8 degree Celsius weather my coolant managed to hit 120 degrees Celsius just playing on the hills, nothing excessive. The problem is when I look at the plugs they seem a little on the fat side if anything. Is it possible a lean pilot would cause this? I have been fighting a bottom end bog for awhile now.
  17. I have +2+1 now. How would 0+2 do then?
  18. Hey folks. Trying to decide what a arm and jj and a axle to get. Do 40% drag, 40% hill shoots and 20% duning to get to either or. I like the look of a -2+2 a arm and axle to match but worried this will be to tippy when duning. Would the hillshooter axle be the right way to go as it has 4 inches of adjustment? Thanks

  20. Any photos? What are V bars?
  21. Looking at replacing my stem and wondering if this is the route I should go. I do 80% drag and the other 20% is either to or from the drag hill or some shoots in between. I see some that use a clamp and look like mountain bike bars. Are these durable? Thanks.
  22. ok. Thanks I will likely do direct drive.
