  1. You will love the ported cylinders from HJR. He did the aggressive trail port on mine. Bike rips! And +1 for the FMF SST pipes. I love mine in the trails and all around riding. I stepped up and put on a set of Keihin 28mm PWK carbs with K&N pods
  2. Not to bring a old thread back up but is Driveline Performance working on any other cylinder options? Ive heard talk about a 392 setup, 66mm bore. Havent seen anything from there site other then the LP cylinder kit is currently unavailable. Just curious what was going on
  3. I forgot to mention I have my timing at +4. I plan on getting a cool head from FAST. Just have to call and figure out what cc domes I would need
  4. I just was unsure if it was worth the switch or not. I think the SST pipes are really underrated. I'm happy with how it runs I guess
  5. Hey guys. Thinking about switching out my pipes. I currently have FMF SST pipes and think they do great mid/top but I want more bottom end power. 90% of my riding is in the woods. I just don't want the gnarlys to be dead on top. I realize you have to sacrifice power somewhere. My set up is - HJR aggressive trail port, boyesen ports, cases port matched, milled stock head, vforce 4, 28mm PWK, k&n pods. Bike runs great but like I said I would like to wake up the bottom end power. Thought about trying to find a cheap set on eBay and testing them out or even fattys. What's your thoughts?
  6. Yeah Im gonna burn it up while its too rich. Makes sense
  7. The local shop closed up and Im not cutting up a $8 spark plug.
  8. I personally love my SST pipes for trail riding but CPI's & Snipers will out perform the FMF setup. 28mm pwk carbs are awesome on stock cyl bike. You would probably want to run a 33pwk or bigger for the 421. But I wouldn't go bigger then a 33 on stock cyl. You also might want to consider Shearer pipes too. They flat out rip
  9. I ordered the JJH needles , 145 & 140 main. 40 pilot. Should arrive in a few days. Im excited to try them out
  10. Bigger pilot? Come to think of it it might have come with a 50 also. I'd have to double check
  11. Okay I think the smallest main I have is a 148. I thought about trying to change clip position to lean out the midrange some with the stock needles. From what I've read people really seem to like the jjh needles
  12. Hey guys having a hard time getting my new carbs dialed in. With stock carbs I was running 350 mains, 30 pilots, air screw 2 1/4 turns out and it always ran great. Put VForce 4s in and had a bog/hesitation around half throttle. Found a good deal on Keihin 28mm PWKs. Rich off idle and still has the stumble in the midrange. Cleans up great on top no sputtering. Plugs are pretty dark and a little wet. Started with 158 mains went down to 155 and now on 150s and still rich. Running a 45 pilot (only one came with cabrs) air screws 1.5 turns out. Stock needles middle clip position. Mods are - FMF SST HJR Aggressive trail port with boost ports VForce 4 reeds Stock head milled .030 .030 over bore Stock stroke HotRods crank Lightened flywheel Clutch 28mm PWK Pro Design Pro Flow filter kit (investing in pods when I have extra cash) Just under 1000ft sea level here in Ohio Im going on a riding trip in two days and would love to be able to ride my Banshee. I can take my YZ250 as backup but I don't wanna ride a MX bike in trails/hills if I don't have to. Any help is appreciated! Thanks
  13. Hey guys Ive got a chance to buy YFZ 450R a arms from a 2009 bike. Just the a arms for $100. I dont know what shape there in yet (havent recived a picture) but if there in good shape I think it would be a great buy. Now my question is : What would be better for a MX/ occasinal flat track Banshee. The YFZ 450 a arms (gullwing style) or the 450R (wide arc style) ? I know some mounting modifications will be nescesary for these to work but it seems like a pretty good deal for only $100 if there nice. I think the 450R style would be great seeing how there a little longer so it would corner better too. Anybody ever mess with the 450R style before? I would love to know more about them. Thanks
  14. ive only seen the hero 3s at walmart for 200 and 300 this one is the first gopro
  15. Selling my GoPro camera its the original one. Just dont use it alot and its just sitting around. Paid $200 for it. Im asking $120. Great condition, film quality is good and the cables, mount, helmet strap, instructions and original box included.
  16. im running bel ray gear saver. might be switching over to royal purples manaul transmission fluid tho
  17. Agreed on FMF being a good pipe thats all I run. Heres some suggestions and mods I have done to mine and 80% of my riding is woods. MOTOR - Pipes : Either Gnarly or Fattys(Gnarly tend to bring on the power sooner and the Fattys are more of a "all around pipe" to me). Im running the SST's and the pull hard up top and have a healthy midrange. Im soon changing over to Gnarlys. Pro Circuits are also a good pipe for the woods. Also check into US Forest Approved spark arrestors. Some riding places require them Porting : Get a agressive trail port. I had my clinders done by HerrJugsRacing and Kevin did a fantastic job! Great power and torque. Reeds : Boyesen and Vforce make great products. Few extra HP and better throttle responce Performance head : Milling the stock head can make good cheap horse power. Or if you got some extra cash go with a name brand head, CoolHead, NossMachine, FAST. Im sure im forgetting some Clutch : Barnett Dirt Digger with BelRay gear saver Air Flow : K&N filter with Outerwares COOLING SYSTEM - Pro Design : Billet Impellar and EZ Drain cover. Coolant : Engine Ice. Awesome liquid Radiator : Aluminum oversized radiator will keep it nice and cool due to the lack of air flow in a woods. I have this on mine and what a difference it made! CHASSIS - Tires : ITP Holeshot Gncc or Holeshot HD tires work great. Havent heard much about the Quadcross XC tires. Maxis rzr tires are good too. Cant think of the exact name but the Bill Balance ones are what im talking anout Rims : Douglas rims with beadlock or ITP beadlock rims Axel : RPM, Durablue, Gforce. Anything stronger then stock. Possibly wider stance, but also want it narrow for tight fit between trees and such A-Arms/Swingarm : Way too many to list. "Gullwing style" a-arms alow for long travel shocks. If you get a different swingarm do it right and get the round style carrier for easy chain adjustment. Possibly the worst thing about a Banshee right there Lol. Shocks : Elka, Works, Ohlins, Racetech, Fox, iShock. So on and so forth. This will help out tremendously with hadneling and fatiuge. Even used YFZ450 front shocks and a Raptor 660 rear are a great improvement over the stock Banshee setup. Steering Stabilizer : Im not real fimilair with the well known brands but Im interested in the Streamline one. Again this will be a big help. Footpegs : YFZ450 pegs work great Brakes : Snag a used set of calipers from a YFZ450 or go with EBC setup. Dont mean to post alot of blah blah blah stuff but I tried to think of everything I could from my setup and my future build plans. Hope it helps!!
  18. just redid my cooling system about a month ago. larger aluminum radiator - herr jugs racing billet water pump - pro design ez-drain coolant cover - pro design (doesnt help in cooling but is a must for future coolant drains) engine ice coolant tell you what mine runs soo much cooler its great! even while riding in the high 80 degree day i could set my bare fingers in the cylinder head for about 4 seconds before i had to pull them off. try that without the cooling mods!
  19. kevin did a agressive trail port for me....i love it. this winter when i do a rebuild hes getting my motor for a 4mil build
  20. the yellow shocks kinda look good in there with the teal frame to me. but like you said elkas or works will be better. its looking real good!
  21. definatly for a 250 dirtbike. i would like to get some 250 stock pipes do soem cutting and fabbin and make them work for a banshee. it probably wont work but its an idea
  22. my hjr agressive trail ported shee is a woods beast! i can lug it up big hills with no problem. thanks again kevin!
  23. sorry i didnt get back to you sooner about the gopro. i was confused with mine so i went on youtube and watched some help videos and set mine up that way

  24. thanks man! shes a keeper, she'll come watch me ride and doesnt complain lol. and its just the standard gopro. i bought it when they first started getting popular. gonna upgrade mine to the HD soon. once you figure out how to operate them there awesome
