your bike probably wont even run with 400 mains in it with the set up you have lol, i would say 280 max for 3000'-4000' of elevation, and at that elevatoin a 25 pilot should work fine maybe put needle on 4th clip(one notch down from stock) i have pipes individual pod filters head saved, ported,timing advanced, and flywheel lightened and and im at 1200' and i only rune 290-300 mains

Ok guys i got an '05 Hybrid I built. New top end, head shaved, flywheel lightened, +5 timing advance, VForce3 reed system, Flotek ported, individual UNI POD filters, shift star mod, NGK B8EG plugs, FMF fattys and Power Core II silencers(pipes are cut and custom fit to remain in frame on the hybrid, they are now a mid range pipe instead of the normal low end fmf fatty) i run AV100LL mix 40:1 with Klotz super techniplate. my Main jets are 310 my needle is factory and set to factory position, and my pilot jet is 27.5. here is the problem. bike starts fine, first kick(most of the time without the choke) idles great comes off idle great it snaps. it pulls supe hard on the top end. the problem lies with the mid range.like i said idles fine comes off idle fine but when i ride in lower 3 gears the mid range is bad it hesitates and is erratic. i have tries all position on the needle and doesnt seem to change much if anything. i rode it aroung in the RPM range that it "acts up" for about 5 minutes and the plugs were kinda wet or oilly so i would assume rich, but i tried all the different needle positions and doesnt seem to work. like i said the pipes are custom so i imagined it would be finnicky to jet but dont know which way to go when it doesnt seem to change with the needle. could i need a different taper or design of needle? ive never messed with different needles before just change position. and help would be greatly appreciated.

final thoughts...love it, funnest bike ive ever riddin is comfortable its smooth to jump does wheelies on command. if i were to do it again i mite consider cutting the fram so i can just bolt on the pipe as they took the majority of the build but i ride moto tracks and didnt want challange the integrity of the frame.

I would say 10 hours in the motor mounts an hour relocating battery under front fender 3-4 hours re wiring and a full 8hr day with my buddy puttin the pipes on it buys it's work it

im making a hybrid and was told that if i weld to the yfz frame it will crack or the frame will rip apart. is that true? does it need tig or mig welded? anybody...

this is to the guys who have done or are doing the conversion, is there anything special i need to know? like do you use alll the wiring from the banshee and through the 450 wiring away? can i use the 450 radiator and the fan? do i need a bigger stator to run the fan? do you use the factory sprockets? any tips or ideas would be appreciated.

'05 complete rolling chassis. i removed motor coil and cdi to build a hybrid yfzshee. this bike have very low hrs it was bought new in '06 was ridden 5-6 times and stored in a garage untill this past summer when i bought it, was riddin probably 30-50 hrs and garage kept. nothing is bent or broken on this machine and the only problem with the plastics is the YA is missing off the YAMAHA on the right front fender. i have a brand new pair of A.J.A-Arms to go with it (i bought em but never put em on) i know its stock i have a few stock parts for the motor that can go too (timing plate, exhaust, reeds). tires in the pic do not come with it but it has 4 tires. i have the title in hand and took pic of VIN # i have way more pix if someone wants them im haveing a hard time loading the pix on here so just message me and i can txt or email the pix to you anytime., only mods done i eliminated the T.O.R.S. at the carbs, pro-grips, ans a prodesign foamy filter. im asking 1500 OR BEST OFFER. if you are interested great if not pease dont add your two cents to the thread. can delvier up to 50 mies away. im located in western PA.

was not offended just not willing to give it away you offered me half of what was asking it says 1500 obo sorry your best offer was not enought perhaps a little higher would have sparked interest. this bike was bought brand new in the end of 05 and was riddin very little on the road here and there and garage kept till i bought it in august of this year and quit riding it in october it has 40 hrs on it maybe no one is forcing you to buy this item so if you dont like it please move on THANKYOU

i have a mint condition 05 shee rolling chassis. its blue and flawless very clean i want a yfz chassis to put my motor in so would be interested in a trade possibly if yougive me a number i can txt pix of it, the motor is still in the bike right now i livce in pa, and have no idea what shipping would cost so local would prob be better willing to drive couple hours to meet if neccesary. asking 1500 obo htis is in mint so are the plastics i have the factory exhaust if u would like them also

I am looking for custom banshee plastics, not jsut the typical majer or full bore i have seen once before banshee plastics that resemble the ds650 look with the two little fenders over ther wheel, any one have an idea?? if i cannot find them i would like to buy or trade for a set of black stock or black race plstics, i have blue ones from an '05 that look brand new. any hepl would be appreciated.
