  1. elevation is sea level what do you think about a 340 main cause i my dynojet kit came with 270's 280's and 340's
  2. Got me a set of Toomey T5's awesome pipe nothing but power good all around pipe has great mid-top end power not that good with low end but my v-force reeds eliminates that problem.

i think a 340 would be way to rich.. but thats just me lol. stock carbs?

  4. Alright so what do you guys think about my jetting would a 340 be good with the pod filters? The only reason i don't want to port is that i dont have much money i can't really afford it maybe in the future i'm only 16 guys. Plus I live in Bahrain i don't really know a place that ports banshee engines. If i wanted the 4mm strocker i need to get pistons and a crank right? Please excuse me guys im not that good in these areas its kinda advanced for me. So coolhead with 21cc dome or just mill the stock head and how much should i mill it to gain power and stay safe would a coolhead be better. About motorcityatv hahaha whats the big deal with them why shouldn't i order from them.
  5. Hey everyone so i got an 06 Banshee never re-built i take very good care of it and in the same time i ride it hard last time i asked to have it checked they said its pretty healthy i've ran a couple of different fuel mixing ratios but i currently run 38:1 and quite satisfied with it. I have toomey t5's v-force reeds, 270 mains dynojets with needle on either 3rd or 4th postion not sure to be honest. I also run a K&N (single) with airbox + lid no snorkel i also have the K&N powerlid i've tried it but it kinda takes away my top end slightly helps low end but not worth it cause you still get this bog sound from the filter (not nice). I have an adjustable timing plate on it thats currently on the stock positon however i am going to mod it +4 degrees or depending on my engine. I was thinking about getting rid of the airbox and installing those K&N pod filters (dual) with outerwears but i'm not sure about the jetting so far according to my feelings and plug color (brownish tan) the 270 is a suitable size with my set-up. The jet kit i got moose racing dynojets came with 270's 280's and 340's so would a 340 be good with the dual pod filters with outerwears? I was also thinking of getting a coolhead i like the pro designs but there kinda pricy i found those 2 from a trusted site i already ordered from. http://www.motorcityatv.com/motor-parts/1987-2006-yamaha-banshee-billet-aluminum-cool-head-new/ http://www.motorcityatv.com/motor-parts/87-06-yamaha-banshee-chrome-plated-cool-head-new/ Do they add power or just help cooling? what about the dome size i think the stock is 22cc i run premium 95 octane fuel so if i change the size ill be okay will a 21cc wont i? I like modding but staying safe in the same time so if its going to harm my bike i don't want it. I run a 15/41 gearing didn't really notice much difference when it was stock 14/41 a friend of mine suggests 15/42. What else can i do Filters? Coolhead? umm what about getting pistons Weisco or something good and reliable that won't decrease engine life or bigger carbs. If pistons are a good idea what size and all i dont know much about them so please help, same goes with carbs. Thanks for all your help guys and i'm not interested in having my stock head milled they say it can cause damage neither porting or any of that crap. According to my Vapor gauge i managed to clock 141.7 km/h (88 mp/h) i know thats fast but its never fast enough! i passed 2 700's with dual DMC power commander and pro-design k&n filter, the 2nd one same mods but different pipes (Big Gun duals) they both clock their bikes around 137 km/h (85 mp/h) and they dont run airbox lids. Didn't try racing other bikes yet. I was also thinking of have my front fenders shaved like the racing style i think it'd look better improve cooling, go faster, but only problem is riding behind other bikes which i do not do much.
  6. Alright so i have a 270 main w/ 25 pilots needle is set either 3rd or 4th not sure however its the needle that came with my dynojet moose racing jet-kit. I run a k&n airfiler (single) with airbox led no snorkel toomey 5 pipes and as far as I can see its a perfect jetting set-up, the plugs have this nice tan-ish brown color runs great. I was wondering if i get rid of the airbox completely and install the pot k&n's with outerwears what should my main jet size be, 280 & 340 mains came with the kit i bought. According to my Trail Tech Vapor I managed to hit 141.7 km/h (88 mp/h) I am very satisfied but you know what they say very fast isn't fast enough. Toomey T5 V-Force Reeds 3 K&N Air Filer 15/41 Gearing 270 Moose racing dynojet Trail Tech Vapor Renthal Handel bars 2.5" DND rear spacer BANSHEE Bros for life
  7. Hey there buddy i would just like to say i've installed my toomey T5's V-force reeds 3 and a k&n with the airbox no snorkel and run a dynojet (moose racing) 270 main with the needle 15/41 gearing runs great tops out around 138 km/h 85.6 mp/h pulls really hard amazing pipes and sound i was wondering what other basic mods can i do. I was thinking a cool head maybe a boost bottle or the dual air filter later on with a bigger jet. I'm more into accessories now i want to keep my bike safe and healthy.
  8. Hey everyone. Okay so i run Toomey T-5's, V-Force reeds 3, K&N with 270 Dynojet (Moose Racing Jets) 15/41 Gearing, Trail Tech Vapor gauge ++ small accessories eg. graphics est. My spark plugs has this nice tan-ish brown color to it that indicates a perfect jetting. I have an adjustable timing plate on it but its set to the stock position about to be set on +4 i'm also going to get a 42 tooth rear sprocket to run 15/42. What other mods can i do to it to make it faster i'm already quite impressed with its amazing banshee power! just want a bit more out of it i now hit 137.5 Km/h ( 86 mp/h ) top speed I was thinking of the Dyna Ignition CDI box or a aftermarket head like Pro Design Coolhead but don't know much about the domes and stuff. I want safe modding nothing that'll damage my engine or effect it much i use the bike a lot and take care of it very much. I run 95 octane pump gas i live in Bahrain elevation is sea level i'm even thinking of increasing my jet size to somewhere like 290 and going for the dual K&N's that mount dierectly to the carb but they get dirty really fast so i dont think it's worth it. Also ive seen some banshees with different sparkplug wires (yellow) (red) they say it gives a bit more spark there cheap and worth getting any tips remember i want to stay safe and healthy. Thanks for all your help.
  9. Toomey T5's, V-Force Reeds 3, 270 Dynojet Jet-kit (moose racing), airbox no snorkel, already installed a adjustable timing plate but not yet set the degree to +4 gonna do that soon and increase a tooth on the back sprocket to run 15/42 gearing

  11. Hey everyone I run a 06 stock banshee i have no mods what so ever, however i do run trail tech vapor, nerf bars, DND spacers, Renthal handlebars, and had my banshee painted. I wish to start moding it i know about them toomey pipes and all but i still don't have enough cash cause i just turned 16 i've noticed my chain is almost wearied out so i've decided to change my chain and both front and rear sprockets from 14/41 to 15/42 is that a good idea? What will be my gains? top and bottom or just top or bottom. According to the trail tech vapor my banshee hit 127.4 km/h (79 mp/h) on a straight road this other guy on bansheeHQ clocked his stock banshee 124 km/h (77) and got 132 km/h (82) after going one tooth up on the front sprocket (15) Some guy told me that i'll have to tune the bike if i'm changing the sprockets. Hopefully i'll install T5 pipes a K&N air filter V Force reeds 3 and Jets someday. Thanks
  12. Hey Everyone I have a stock 06 banshee I'm about to start modding it. I'm looking for Pro circuit's but there not available anymore unless if we have them shipped they would cost me like 600 dollars however i found a pair of CPI's for 260 dollars their used but are in good condition. Should i search for pro circuits or get the CPI which sounds better? which has more power? and also is the cpi's okay for stock motor their inframe. If i get the CPI's what size jets should I run with a K&N. Im guessing its gonna need a bigger jet than the pro circuit's right? Thanks guys appreciate it.
  13. I Have a 2006 Yamaha Banshee with stock pipes and stock everything i just changed the handle bars and installed the YFZ450's brake light. Im soon gonna install black nerfbars thats why i painted the stock nerfs black. I installed a k&n air filter and was way too lean so i was wondering what size jets should i run i'm guessing a 220 maybe 240 because at 6th gear above quarter throttle it blogs as if its gonna die so i had to re-install the original filter until i get the jets. And would you recommend installing the 2 small air filters you know the ones that go to the carburetor. Then my mods would be filters, jets and thats it enough to beat other stock banshees. One more thing after installing all those before getting pro circuit 304 pipes would you guys think it would be okay if i install a pair or boysen's or V-Force reed valves. Thanks for all you help guys appreciate it
  14. Hehe thanks man. I'm gonna reinstall the old filter. Its not really hard to find parts around here you could get them from Pro Bike or Zero Gravity or even Yamaha them selfs but yamaha's a rip-off i only service my bike with them and have them install the goodies i bought from pro bike or zero, which come from the states. However you do get a couple of garages that get their stuff from UAE, so there parts aren't as good as you want them to be plus it isn't so trusty cause the stuff you get from pro bike and zero are original and there good brands like FMF, Tusk, Renthal, and so on but in the other garages well you can notice a prices drop. These garages are good for if you wanna get your carb cleaned and small matters. Anyways if i rejet will i be able to install V-Force wont it harm my engine cause i wanna keep my bike healthy and also if i installed reed valves will i need another rejet? where are you from? lol i can't believe there's an emotion of someone wanking cheers buddy
  15. Thanks a lot man, helpful information but its been sometime riding without the correct jet is that bad for my bike should i temporarily put the original filter till i could get it jetted and about the reeds i heard that V-Force is the best so if i installed it would it be too much for a stock bike. Maybe someday i install Toomey T5's or Pro Circuit's 304 so i don't want to have to change the reeds or anything just rejet and its all good. thanks and please reply
  16. Hey Everyone I have an 06 yamaha banshee and i'm willing to start moding it. I have installed a K&N racing air filter (single) but I didn't rejet I noticed that in the 6th gear i couldn't get my bike to reach top speed i feel that there is something holding it back so i figured out that i need to increase my jet size. I don't like moding so much "keep it simple keep it fast, strong and healthy" right now i could get around 70 miles per hour (112 Kmph). So what size jets do I need to run since its stock i was thinking of installing V-Force reed valves, Jets, Renthal racing handle bars, and take the back tires out a bit what do you guys think. Also a friend told me to cut the air filter box to get the most out of my K&N's is that a good idea or would the filter get dirty quickly, would it make a difference in performance. Since my bike is stock is it okay to install the V-Force reed valve or do i need to get pipes first cause i'm happy with my original exhaust system. Thanks Salman.
