  1. Yeah I figured that pilot needs to go I have a set of 30's im gonna throw in very soon! There's your proof
  2. Alright guys so I'm really into kicking other people's asses specially 4 strokes. If I don't win a 2 stroke, well it's fine but I'm mixing gas so I have to kick some ass. I've already raced 2 raptor 700's with their speed limiter eliminated they have dual exhausts (DMC) and the other with (Big gun) both have power commander 5, pro-design knn's and that pretty much it on performance. Last time I drove the 700 the speed topped out around 85-86 mp/h I raced a Kawazaki ninja 250 and passed it with ease it only had a FMF exhaust on it. I raced a stock RM125 and passed it. I raced blasters raptor 250's 350's and all those little jokes and well its obvious. I raced a kfx-450 (FMF pipe knn, PC 5 some other shit I dono about but it's moded a bit from the inside) buuuut i still passed it although i gotta stay it managed to stick with me in the 2,3,4th gear zone, so did the 700's but the kfx was a better bottom-mid end bike. My banshee is a 2006 with a Trail Tech Vapor gauge that indicated my top speed around 91 it has Toomey T-5's, V-Force Reeds 3, +4 Timing, Pod K&N's w/ 300 Mains 3rd Groove Dynojet Needle, 25 Pilot. DND rear spacer, Renthal handel bars, 15/41 gearing, Yfz-450 tail lights, Tusk super white bulbs. Thats pretty much it besides a custom paint job with Nono graphics Monster stickers What other bikes could I beat? Can I beat a 250-F bike CRF i'm doubting it but I see people saying that with just these basic mods I have we're able to smoke many bikes. There's this other raptor 700 that pretty similar to what mods i mentioned on the other ones but this one has a 15/41 gearing, An Auto-tuner with the PC 5 and the exhaust is Barker duals knn's however this one I didn't race yet cause I have a feeling I'll lose for some reason it tops out like 95 and it couldn't just from that sprocket because I usually top out around 87 I dono why i got more the other day what other possible mods does that guy have on his bike to make it hit 95. I have a feeling he's hiding something.
  3. Yeah I remember it running better before cleaning the filters. I checked for any leaks could find any but yeah I'm going to try fresh fuel with new plugs at a 40:1 ratio

I wasn't very generous with oiling the filters but i gave it a good amont am I running rich because oil is sealing it or lean because it can breath better now. NOTE it wasn't really dirty when I cleaned it. The Weather is slightly getting cooler and will be mostly around 70 ish soon.

  6. Hey everyone! I'm facing a problem with my spark plug color and jetting. My plug is always black and wet I mix 36:1 and run a 300 main jet with stock pilots, Dynojet needle on 3rd groove. I think im running lean right now cause it's only when I hit 6th gear and WOT I notice a bog and loss of performance. I run Pod K&N's with outerwear, toomey t5's, v-force reeds, 15/41 gearing, adjustable timing plate (so far on stock position I am going to +4 soon) . I am thinking of changing my fuel mixing ratio into 40:1 and running a 30 pilot thinking it might help with the bog problem and top speed cause once when I was testing my top speed I was at WOT and my Trail Tech Vapor indicated 143.7 km/h (89) but there was a bog so I slightly let go of the gas and the speed increased to 146.8 (91.2 mp/h). Also this happened a couple of times i notice if I'm riding down road it doesn't do as much top speed as riding up road i even have doubts that it clocks a higher top speed if im driving up way then straight and down cause I usually hit 136, 7 ish (km/h) but that time for some reason my top speed was really impressive and i'm really happy with it. What should I do about my jetting I have 270's 280's and 340's that came with my Dynojet kit should I install just the pilot or the 340 or both I know 340 might be kinda rich but I can keep my mixing ration 38:1 or 36 + the weather's gonna get cool soon and im going +4 degrees on my timing or should I get a pair of 320's? My elevation is sea level the weather over here is around 90-100 F but will soon be around 70 even lower at night it could go as low as 50 so its kinda complicated cause i'm not a 100% certain as well but lets say it's going to be anywhere from 65-80 Thanks for the help
  7. I don't make contact with water at all. Worst case is when I wash the bike but i cover the pods or it if rains which it rarely does (very often) I live in Bahrain its in the mid-east near Dubai
  8. I did, I couldn't find any. I think it's time I go get me a 320. I am using the dynojets needle on the 3rd groove everything A-okay on the bottom just at WOT
  9. My elevation is 0. It's really hard to get pilot jets over here I just have the 30 but I dont think thats the problem its just 3/4 of the throttle and above at WOT = main jet and by the way my timing plate is set at 0 i'm going to have it +4 degrees which means i need a size up so if I +4 it and rejet to 340 i think i might be running a little rich but then again the weather is getting cooler. Do you think it's a good idea I might throw in the 30 pilots if i run the box and remain on the 300.
  10. Hey everyone! Alright so i'm running toomey t-5's v-force reeds 3, and k&n pods with outerwears my current jetting is a Dynojet needle set to the 3rd groove stock pilots (25) and 300 mains. When i first installed it i noticed it to be slightly lean like I knew I needed to go one size up but yesterday after a ride i noticed it to be too lean like when i was riding WOT it was bogging and when i released a bit of the gas it went faster so I'm thinking of either re-installing my air-box and run it with a uni or k&N (there both the single ones) and keep my 300 main or stay with my pods but go bigger on the mains I have 270's 280's 300's and 340's think it'd be a good idea to try out the 340's i know its kind of rich but... What do you guys think Also I do have 30 pilot jets but when I wanted to install them the mechanic suggested not to so I didn't because i dont hear any bogging or see any problems with the stock pilots should i replace the 25's to 30? Thanks yall
  11. Your slightly lean there bro you might wanna bump it up a size or maybe two till you get a nice tan light brown color. You want my advice get rid of the airbox entirely run pods (UNI's or K&N's) with outerwears your gonna see a lot of performance gains overall and a lot on the top end if you jetting is right it should be around 310'ish with the pods maybe 320 im not sure but if your happy this way I'd recommend changing your fuel mixing ratio to 36:1 instead of 32 so you can slightly be richer. Running rich wont blow up your engine lean will so be careful. And good luck with your banshee!
  12. I've been getting a lot of people telling me to port here so I might as well do it but there is just one problem. I don't know any place that does it in my country (Bahrain) or if they do I'm a afraid its going to be a shity port and have my motor wrecked in a couple of months. I can ask around and have my motor sent to the UAE I heard they do really good stuff down there specially with banshee's but then I have to pay shipping est. And honestly I'm broke and i'm only 16 hahah Other than porting what can I do small gains big gains anything that wouldn't hurt my motor I'm fine with Reliability is the most important thing here if your bike shuts down in the middle of any public place the traffic police will take your bike and you'll never get it back. But my shee does 87 so they in for a chase. Basterds lol
  13. Okay so the only mods I'm currently set up with are Toomey T5's, Pod K&N's with outerwears, 300 main jet 30 pilot, +4 timing, V-force reed valves 3, 15/41. That's it for performance. I'm quite happy with the overal performance it's really nice and strong but I want more top end what should I do I don't really wanna go into porting or changing the gearing I'm thinking of boring .10 or .20 when it's time for a top end rebuild maybe throw in coolheads with 21cc domes but for now I'm thinking of probably a boost-bottle, bigger carbs. Something that'll help me in top speed any suggestions. What if I change my carbs what would I do with the jetting and would my pods fit, if not I can re-install the air-box cause I have a newUni airfilter that i'm planning to install when the weather starts to get nasty i can run it with lets say a 280 main without the led and maybe have some vents. What carbs? Is it worth getting a boost bottle? I do have an adjustable timing plate installed it's just not on +4 right now its set to the stock position what gains will I see when I +4 it. Current top speed approximately 86 (Trail Tech Vapor) Thanks everyone!
  14. Bigger carbs sound like a good idea I might do that or toss in a cool-head with 21cc domes maybe rebuild the top end if necessary and bore it .10 or .20 depends. However i'm happy with my pipes there really good, porting well there aren't any guys that do good porting here rather stay safe than sorry. I'm not far away from beating this guy a couple of adjustments and tuning perhaps timing. Thanks
  15. Yeah I guess I'll just try again the only reason I need more top end is to beat my friend's raptor 700. I already won 2 of them but there's just something I don't know about this guy. All of them have dual exhausts, Power commander 3, and pro-design K&N's. 2 of them who i raced and won top out almost the same as I do however my acceleration is better though so they don't really stand much against me. The third guy who I didn't race yet but saw his trail tech vapor toped out around 92 and the only extra he has was an auto-tuner and a 15/41 gearing. O and they all have their speed limiters eliminated 1st guy - Big gun duals 2nd guy - DMC force 4 duals 3rd guy - Barkers Dual It's a never ending battle out there ! One more thing guys does a boost bottle help in top end? A friend of mine said the big ones help top small ones help bottom is that true? Is it worth getting? Thanks
  16. Yeah but there is a wired thing going on if I'm driving on a road thats going up my speed keeps climbing if the road is going down it's like its maxed out. Strange isn't it? Last time I tested top speed was on a straight paved road I'll try again on a road going up and one going down ( It's not a really huge climb or like I'm heading downhill its just a small degree) It takes less than half mile more like a quater to top out it hits 75 really quick after that it takes a couple of seconds to hit 86 I'll try again and see.
  17. Hey everyone! I'm currently running 15/41 gearing and honestly I haven't seen any changes when I went up a tooth on the front sprocket so what should I do put the 14/41 back or go 15/42 like one tooth up on the back what will I achieve this way. I have plenty of acceleration I want a bit more top speed without sacrificing much bottom. 20'' rear tires Also I topped out at 85.6 Mp/h (137.8 km/h) According to my trail tech vapor. Is that good? How can I get a bit more I wanna be able to do like 88, 89 Mods: Toomey T5 K&N Pods w/ outerwear 300 Main jet V-Force Reeds 3 +2 Timing (not sure maybe on 0 i asked for +4 but the guy said he used the safe way) (but I have installed an adjustable timing plate) Help please should I double check and make it +4 what good will it do? Thanks In advance
  18. So I've done some research and understood this bore thing yeah then I guess I'll be getting like .10 or .20 What company though? How much gains are we talking about with/without coolhead with 21cc domes. If I get the .10 or .20 will the pistons just fit in or do they like have to do some cuts and mods cause there aren't many good places over here aside from Yamaha and this other good banshee guy.
  19. I thought the bigger you went the more power. So from .10 to .100 whats gonna give me most power gains yet maintaining health and I can ride ride and ride more without worrying about piston wearing out. I'm looking at Wiseco, Pro-X, and WSM obviously everyone are saying go for Wiseco's but I like to double check. How about .40 to have a 1mm bore or .20 and have a 0.5mm bore which I dono if it'll make a big difference. How much HP gain are we talking about with a new top end? with/without the coolhead with 21cc domes
  20. Alright so when I ride and the shee heats up there's this weird loud sound coming from like the front sprocket area i'm thinking its the chain cause the faster i go the louder it gets + I lost my top chain roller so i figured maybe when the chain collides with the chain roller holler it makes it worse specially when I get someone behind me the condition worsens. Is it safe to ride without the chain roller for now without carrying any passengers I usually ride solo and im about 60 KG's (130 pounds). Or could the sound come from the inside the clutch or like could it be something dangerous I should get fixed before it causes bigger problems and cost me a lot of money. Thanks everyone
  21. Alright so this is going to be the first time changing my pistons I need something that provides power yet is reliable. My bike is an 06 it has Toomey T5's, Pod K&N's with outerwears, V-force reeds 3, +4 timing, and Jetted with moose racing dynojets 300,30,3rd grove. Thats pretty much it on performance a couple of accessories decal est. So the bike still runs great. I think it hit almost 90 mph last time i checked with the trail tech vapor 15/41 gearing. But soon I'm guessing I'll need to replace the pistons cause I wanna go for like a package: Coolhead with 21 cc domes to run with pump gas thats 95 octane in my country for premium. With like a .50 bored Wiseco piston or something strong and does not wear our fast cause I heard Pro-X is also good I dono i'll leave it up to you guys. I drive it a lot in trails, streets, sand and the wether over here is usually hot so yeah thanks guys.
  22. Yeah their mostly personal preference your right. What about jetting with the pods what do you think i should do
  23. I run the same mods but have a different pipe Toomey T5 and I love it however i've heard good things about the SST's although their not as good as the Toomey's. What main jets do you currently run and what jets are you planing on running with the pods? Cause i have 270 mains with a single K&N with airbox lid no snorkel runs slightly rich it should've had a 260 but i've installed the 270's so that i can advance my timing to +4 i've installed the timing plate but not yet moded it to notice if they'll be any difference or not. However i just installed the dual K&N pods with outerwear and i'll rejet to 280's first and test them out however i think i might need to go up to 300 maybe 310 what do you guys think I haven't got the chance to try it out yet. Btw i'm at sea level what your elevation? To get more power i'd recommend getting a Pro-Design cool head with 21cc domes you'll be fine with pump gas with the 21cc dome thats my next mod also for more power search for a bigger better carb. On the other hand porting will be the best bang for the buck. Also depending where you ride I would jet my front fenders trimmed for better cooling, looks, air dynamic. Only disadvantage is if your riding behind your buddies in a rocky terrain and they toss rocks at you. Good luck with you banshee --------------------------------------------- 2006 Yamaha Banshee with: Toomey T5 pipes/headers, VF3 Reeds, K&N Pods with Dynojet 280's, +4 Timing, Renthal handelbars, Trail Tech Vapor, DND 2.5" rear spacer, Monster graphics by Nono design and custom paint job.
  24. Okay so i'm going for Coolheads 21cc domes when i have enough cash for it but for now im going for the uni pod filters as for the jetting i'll have to make sure with my local banshee mechanic. It may be hard to find the uni filters here if i can't i dont think its worth ordering cause shipping would cost more than just getting a K&N pods from here for 93 US Dollars. How much faster would my bike be from 141 km/h how much more should i expect after rejetting and installing the pods and modding the timing plate. And then with the coolhead and 21cc domes. Thanks guys I know I ask a lot.
