  1. im at sea level, the bike ran good as it was. i was mostly wondering what to expect, ill get some 300, 320's and give it a go this weeked.
  2. just finished a rebuild on my sons 07', installed a new set of vitos power pistons. bike previously had a set of dmc 916's, k&n filter with modded box top. im still finishing up the bike and im waiting to get some supreme fuel as our town doesnt have any available. bike was jetted well before but im wondering if there may be a need to rejet for the vitos? 280 mains, 30 pilots, clip on 2nd position from point on needle with a small spacer underneath the clip. 1.25 turns out on air screws. im thinking of running the bike without a airbox cover. anyone have experience with having to rejet after going to the vitos power pistons? i was also thinking of modding the stock timing plate.

  7. i have a good lesson for everyone. my buddy got some of this stuff from a local guy that is a heli-mechanic and about half filled a plastic water bottle. well my buddy used it to clean something in the shed, left the bottle on the counter and went to the store for some smokes. came back and the bottle was gone. got a call about an hour later from his mother stating that he needs to get to the hospital cause his father is in the emergency department. turns out his father grabbed the bottle in the shed thinking it was water and took off in his truck for a business call, was driving down the road and took a big mouthful of the stuff. he was okay after a few hours but imagine the things that could have happened. so never leave chemicals in unmarked bottles.
  8. that sounds about right, it does have the 2 micro switches and 4 positions. thanks, anyone know what the settings are?
  9. hey gents, wondering if there is anyone that makes a adjustable timing setup with a remote switch? i was told i have one on my bike and found the switch but in all my research ive done all ive found that might look like the switch is the moose stator.
  10. hey guys, looking for a spare rear stock rim in good condition. as long as its not bent or worn out bolt holes. appearance doesnt matter as i will powdercoat them. also looking for a oversized fuel tank in white. prefer in Canada but will accept us also

  12. its definately robbing power as pipes are designed for certain volumes at certain areas but its gonna be minimal. lots of shops fix dented pipes for a reasonable price.
  13. higher octane fuel than needed actually loses horsepower. you need the lowest octane fuel you can use without detonating.
  14. you clearly stated that he had 25000 in the engine then changes it to in the last 8 banshees. lay off the pipe for awhile and things may clear up.
  15. that helps thanks, i wasnt sure if there was thicker gaskets available so ill probably go that route for now. where can i get a thicker headgasket?
  16. hey everyone, just picked up a banshee and it has the stock head cut 0.030". i know each one will be different but im told its running at 155psi and to run premium. my question is what is the stock cc and the cc on a head cut 0.030"? just looking for somewhere to start as i would like to get a cool head and im not sure what cc domes to get. the bike is stock engine, fmf pipes, k&n filter, adjustable timing box and of course the shaved head. my problem is that we dont have premium in my hometown. i can get 110 race fuel and mix it down with pump which is what i did with my snowmobile but it runs expensive. for the small loss in power i would be happy to cut back the compression to run pump gas. im fine for now cause im in a city and got premium everywhere. maybe ill just take a 14 gallon drum back with me for the summer. Thanks, im open to suggestions.
  17. i picked up a eastwood gun and couldnt be happier with it. they are 99 but on sale for 59 every now and then. now is the best time to pick up a oven as alot of people are doing spring cleaning, thats what i did. drove around town for an hour and came home with a perfectly good oven. the key to a nice job is mainly in the prep.
  18. i just picked up a clean 05' with a few mods including fmf sst pipes. should be good for what im looking for as they are supposed to be a good linear pipe. time will tell i guess
  19. is there anyway it could be a slight leak in the adapter from filter to carb? if the added resistance with water on the filter creates anymore vacuum maybe it starts sucking air through a small crack in the boot? far fetched but ive seen weirder things happen.
  20. ive only tuned one other piped banshee before but i ran into the exact same problem, piped with 230 jets and it seemed to run fine but when i ported the lid and rejetted mains to 280 it was a totally different animal. try it out and report back.
