I have a 421 cub motor now on alcohol and I'm not sure if my cool head will work on the supercub? Will it or not and if it won't what do I need? I'm thinking I can get 10 mill cub power out of a 4 mill supercub and not have to spend extra money on a 10 mill crank. 115-120 hp 4 mill will put a nice smile on my face

You purge your motor with straight 87 pump gas without any oil mix?? Do you put all your faith in plug markings?? I understand what your saying but if you have a dyno with a wideband then use it and don't half ass it by using plug markings!

I run mikuni 41mm tapered bored to 39mm carbs on mine with 17cc domes. The carbs are a bit over kill on my 4 mill cub but im not starving it of fuel and the bowls are massive. I have my plugs gap at 18 and timing needs to played with on the dyno with a wideband. GET A DUAL PINGLE!! After you get finished riding you need to flush or prime the engine with a oil based race gas mix to clean all the alcohol out of the motor. The alcohol will break down after about a week and will seperate leaving moisture on the internals and eating the inside of the motor up. Its not hard to do but it is a PIA to mess with. Also you will go through alky like a crack addict with a day off! I run through about 10 gallons on a good race day. It has it's benefits in my opinion by running cooler in the motor should give more life to the engine as long as it is setup right and runs better the hotter the weather is outside. Other guys may have better suggestions but that is my setup.

Forgot to mention I run 19 inch front sand tires on a DW2 drag cut wheel. For hillshooting you can do 21 inch front and be fine.

I have a 4 mill cub on alky with +10 swingarm, 22x11x8 sls 12 paddle staggered extreme on a DW2 8x8 wheel. Plenty of traction with this set up. I'm a 215 lb rider.

The pictures are as big as the site would allow. The graphics is from AMR racing and i chose the spider X design with the black and red contrast would flow with my bike better. Very high quality vynl kit but took some time to get it to lay down right without bubbles or dimples in the graphics. It looks 5 times glossy and richer in color outside of the pictures. I'll have more pictures in another month after i get some drag A arms and directdrive spindle mount wheels on the bike. -

My bike is a sand drag only bike. I droped the front end with a set of new 300ex shocks along with some 19x6x10 sand stars. The front A arms are perfectly flat now so I got the front dialed in and it is low haha. Now for the rear I have a no link stellar +10 swing arm and a adjustable strut in the rear. On concrete the swingarm is flat with the frame by using a level. It is low all around like a asphalt bike and I was thinking of raising the back up some to give it more rake but that would change the angle of the swingarm. What am I looking for? The sand I race on is not always flat and groomed.

I'm pulling the axle and carrier out of my +8 fireball swingarm and switching it over to my new stellar +10 swingarm. Can I push the carrier out of the fireball housing with the axle installed together or do I have to pull the axle then push out the carrier? The axle nut on the axle gave me hell last time but I had to pull the axle because the fireball was already setup with a new carrier.

Swing arm help +8 does not seem to be enough!

I ordered a +10 chrome stellar swinger and I'm going to add there +3 forward A arms and run 22x11x8 14 paddle extremes. That should be a killer sand drag setup. -
I'm in the process of redoing my suspension and I need to know what these stellar drag A arms can handle? I drag race the bike on sandbars off of the red river close to my house and it's not always flat and smooth ( dips and bumps). We scout the drag spot out first before racing but sometimes you might jar a dip. I don't want to run a asphalt setup on the sandbar and destroy them and run the money down the drain. I don't want to drop the money down on the wrong setup and have to do it all over again. What advise do you have or is there another alternative to what I need?

Swing arm help +8 does not seem to be enough!

I don't mind wheelies but i don't want them while im racing. The last time i was at the sandbars i was giving up atleast 2 bike length to a group of stroker YFZs and was having to play catch up and pass them on the top side. My last pass i was able to keep the bike down more and it made a huge difference and i was able to see alot of the bikes potential. We don't have dunes where i live so most sand riding is either cruising around or drag racing,i prefer drag racing. The only dunes i might see is little sahara in oklahoma a few times a year. -

This bike is strictly a drag racer. I could not dune it if i wanted to lol -

Here is my plan! Front shocks, smaller front tires, plus 3 inches forward facing A arms and plus 10 swingarm on 12 paddle extremes. With the front so high up in the air i noticed what some of you are saying about the angle of the swing arm by looking at some photos of the bike and i realize that i can't get all the adjustments on the rear without lowering the front. Forward facing A arms with a plus 10 swing arm will give me five inches of streetch on the bike overall and the A arms should help put the motor more center and put more weight towards the rear tires. -
I have a +8 swingarm on the bike now and the bike wants to stand up at the top of 2nd gear and 3rd gear on the launch and will stand up hard if im not laying on the tank. I have a few things to do to lower the front down with some shocks and shorter front tires but i still don't think it will be enough. Setup is a 4 mill cub motor on alcohol with 10 paddle extremes with stock shocks up front and adjuastable solid afco strut in the back. The bike is not a feather weight and has probably another 30 to 40 lbs i can shave off but that will make it worse. Do i need a longer swingarm +10 or +12 or is it in the suspension?

Pipes are holding the motor back,i like shearer pipes but the CPI are nice also. If he changes the pipes he will most defenately need bigger carbs and probably already needs them. I run 41mm flat side mikuni's on mine but it is a alcohol setup but with the shearer out of frame pipes we ran the bowls dry and had to really jet it up to keep up with the pipes. Pipes, carbs and maybe step up the paddles but i would know doubt do the first two first.
-
That is exactly right. I finished up a 4 mill cub motor on my bike last week and took it to a friend of mine to have it dyno tuned and i picked up 11hp by getting the jetting right, still a tad richer than we wanted but it is a alcohol setup and we wanted to be on the rich side. Also look at the weight of the bikes and what pipes is he using on his 4 mill setup?

Im wanting to upgrade the apperance of my stock plastic and i have been wondering how some of you have custom painted plastic or designs other than the normal graphic kits. I have two easy options: 1 i can order a graphics kit or 2 i can order a full bore front cap but their is no graphics kits out their for it. I can have the fullbore cap vinyl wraped but that would be alot of money in one wack! What is everyone doing to get the look they have?

I did the same thing when i was 18 (now 36) while out riding with 3 other buddies. One of them was doing crystal meth and i did not know it until it was all over with and he had a meth head buddy riding shotgun on his warrior, while me and the other buddy were clean and just wanting to ride. We had to ride a 1/2 mile of pavement to get to the sand hills we were going to and it so happens a state trooper lived halfway to the riding spot. As we passed by his house doing about 20-30 mph just cruising the dickh**d was pulling out of his driveway going back on patrol and decided to give full chase halfway down his driveway so what do you think im going to do now knowing im going to get a ticket for riding on a patch of pavement that i just got on,anyway me and my other buddy were on 250Rs so we layed the throttle down and walked the trooper and never seen him again until........ Fastforward to the end,im loading my quad in my truck and here comes the trooper driving down my buddy driveway with the other 2 ass clowns in the back. They got pulled over and cuffed then were told if they did not give me up then they were going to the pen for a long list of bullshit. I was arrested and let go later on that night and fined for about 5 different violations but did not get my quad impounded (thank God). The friends i thought i had sold me out and was told later on that the trooper would not have done anything to them, other than fine them if they did not give me up. After it was all said and done the trooper laughed when i go out and gave me props for having a "bad fast" quad. As for the buddies that sold me out i cut our ties and had nothing to do with them since. I don't snitch and i would not hang around with anyone that does. Now that im older with kids i would not chance it and would probably try to talk it out first. If you run understand that you may not come out on the winning side everytime.
