  6. Thanks I was pretty sure I was good. The washer was definatly not there when I disassembled. Thanks for the reassurance!
  7. Hey guys quick question. My clutch adjuster had only the nut and adjuster screw, not a washer. The nut sits right in hex shaped recess on the clutch....I used a dbl nut after I adjusted bc I felt safer abt it. Should I take apart before I break the motor in? After? Just rock it?
  8. I got to the end of my motor rebuild, and no pipe hangers. I've moved during all this, so who knows what I did with them. Thought I'd check here before I eBay. If anyone has any old stock ones for cheap I just wanttto get it back together, and see if she's Gunna run.
  9. I took the bowl off today. It had a 52 pilot, and a 162 main. ordering a 60, and a needle today. thx again
  10. I just checked the carb. 70ra2 jf its telling me its a pwk 35. saying stock jetting is 68 160. does this smaller carb change your guys ideas on the jetting? im sorry for the bad info
  11. Rebuilt the whole engine. I think that's the general opinion on them. It was already on there so I'm going to run it. It's just for mild trail riding so I think it will be ok. I'm sure it's not the best setup, but I'm sure it will run good enough.
  12. I know I pussed on the domes a tad....they were there and cheap. I'll prob bump the comp when I do the timing advance. I just didn't want to go crazy before I made this thing run ya know.
  13. So the eek needle for sure if it's not already there I take it?
  14. I stuck with big domes so I wasn't married to race fuel. Next one I'm going nuts with . This ones my learning curve.
  15. They looked like they may have been cleaned up possibly. This is my first shee. I'm going to say no tho they didn't look reworked. Just maybe cleaned up if that makes any sense. I inherited someones abortion.
  16. I got into all this bc they blew a piston...and they just rebuilt the top end. Well it was a bad crank bearing from the get go. So it smoked the new piston right away. I replaced the crank, and did a few upgrades along the way. I figure it will be a decent trail rider with this setup. Hopefully reliable anyhow.
  17. Thx guys! as soon as I get a chance I need to see what's in it. Should be something on the needle to tell what it is?
  18. Hey guys, I'm looking for a little help to find a starting point before I fire it. The bike is .30 over, chariot head w 23 cc domes, pro cir pipes, 38mm carb, kn with no air box, rad valves, no timing advance as of yet. Just rebuilt the engine....it was lean before the rebuild. I bought it wounded. Had old dg pipes on it and a stock head. So with the changes does anyone have any ideas where I should start with my jets? I'd rather start a little fat to break it in.....I know everyone hates the two to one...but it's what was on there already. Also I'm in Detroit area as far as elevation. Any help would be appreciated. Fine tuning won't Be an issue , I just want to break it in safely.
  19. Mine was only one side but it was the crank
