  1. Thanks, man. This thing is my baby but food and cars come before anything. I can work something out i'm sure to meet you somewhere.
  2. Location: Pikeville, KY Contact #: 606-434-9165, call or text.. preferably text Reason for selling: Laid off Price: $2,250 firm. Plastic has no bad scratches or stress marks. Frame is in great condition I have several pictures to email if requested, email: [email protected] I don't have access to tinypic right now or I would use that. Up for sale is my 2003 Yamaha Banshee. I am the 2nd owner and have babied this thing since day 1. It has been overhauled one time and I sent both cylinders off to Jeff at F.A.S.T for a fresh bore of .10 over on the cylinders. I put it back together back in November with brand new Wiseco Pistons, all gaskets, etc. I have maybe ran 10 tanks of gas through it since then. It has had nothing but Klotz gear oil for the tranny and Klotz r50 for the pre-mix at 32:1 (4 ounces to a gallon). It has brand new brakes, pivot bearings, chain, sprockets, brake lines, and the major mods listed below. I still have nearly all the receipts for this bike on everything i've done to it, I can provide those to you whenever you come to see the banshee or buy it. It's been well maintained, never abused, the reason i'm selling it is for the simple reason I bought a new cobalt, 2 weeks later got laid off, and I don't have a way to haul it anymore and college is starting back for me and I never get the time to enjoy it. I have well over 5 grand in this bike all together including buying it. Engine: .10 Over bore from F.A.S.T Wiseco Pistons NOSS Head stamped by F.A.S.T with 20cc domes (155 pounds of compression, runs on 93) Port cleanup with the exhaust side polished +4 timing VFORCE 3 Reeds PWK 28 swap, jetting to literally perfect.. it has never fouled a plug Uni pod filters New intake boots with crossover tube (a clean setup, not a ricey boost bottle that leaks) Toomey T5 Exhaust Billet Water Pump Oversized radiator (30% more capacity full of engine ice) Tires: (comes with 2 sets of rims/tires, one for sand drags and 1 for trails) -20x11x9 Holeshots (half worn out) -Stock front tires, could use new ones Drag tires: -22' Zippers BRAND new never used (on banshee in 2 pictures) -Sand front tires Suspension: Stock, Plus +4 Swingarm (brand new, about a month old)
  3. i have near the same mods, just a stock crank and I have pods. I have 158 mains with 52 pilots
  4. Call Jeff at F.A.S.T www.farmandsandtoys.com He's a great guy and will hook you up with a NOSS Head with your choice of domes and the o-rings for that same price shipped. Plus he's a banshee guy like us, better to help him out than some random ebayer. Go with 20's, plus +4 timing, and 93 octane with a hint of octane booster if you're going to put any load on it. (what i do)
  5. fixed it guys.. The 3 screws that was holding the adjustable timing plate came loose and it was going back and forth -10 and +10 degrees LOL Used some lock tite and fixed them right up, runs like a champ now
  6. Run 20's and be done with it, I wouldn't put anymore than that on it with the stock crank and I would also go +4 on the timing. 20's at my elevation (around 800ft) is 150 psi of compression
  7. Thanks for all the help guys i'll give you a verdict this evening. I was bogging down on a hill like I said and I know it was getting hot because of all the load on it so I took it out for a wide open throttle run and as soon as I did that it started running like this.
  8. I don't think so man, I thought it was the reeds but the power comes and goes randomly just off/on in split second occurances (like jumping if you know what i mean) How can I test those? I'm a noob at wiring
  9. Mods: Pwk 28's .10 over bore noss head with 20cc domes 700 elevation vforce3 reeds t5's k&n pods +4 timing Compression: 150 in right cylinder 148 in left cylinder I was riding and everything was awesome, I was climbing a hill slowly with a little bit of load trying to wear it down a little and then it start running like pure shit. Popping/cracking and backfiring in both cylinders. It idles perfect but as soon as you try to give it fuel it falls on it's face. I'm assuming the firing, what do you guys think? Brand new plugs too
  10. The carbs are as-is, came off my banshee.. They just need the needle jet holders (the little brass piece that sticks out the bore of the carb). They were different because I bought the carbs separate and now I have different goals. I will throw in JJH needles with them. Since the carbs are missing the brass needle jet holders, you can find them on an exploded view on pjmotorsports $75 shipped for both, authentic Keihins. One came off a kx 85, the other off of a cr 85. You may want to even rebuild them, but this is still a cheap price for these carbs. see ebay profile: justinkk2005 I am a reputable seller.
  11. one is actually longer than the other? any ideas? can i just grind them down to be the same size
  12. Hey guys, I just done a plug chop and i'm still lean as shit with a 165 main and 55 pilot on pwk 28's, no WAY it's right with a n68a needle on the 5th position (richest) Well I looked back in the slide and I saw this little brass looking piece sticking up out of the carb where the needle goes down into the carb, the other carb it isn't like that. So I tried to press it back down and it wouldn't go, I pulled the main jet out the whole piece there that it screws up into and it went down, as soon as I threaded that back into it the piece came back up again, is that normal or should it be flat?
  13. Can someone give me the exact size of it real quick? I'm going to head to Lowes tomorrow to grab one, mine vibrated out today and it was pulling like a raped ape.... toward the side of a mountain that is lol I done a search, didn't find a thread
  14. added a 55 pilot and a 162 main, runs like a dream... I guess i'm not such a dumbass after all. Plugs are lightly brown, a little on the rich side but I'd rather have it that way
  15. I have tried the JJH and the n68a, both common needles for the pwk 28's on a banshee and it at least runs decent with the n68a. They're so expensive it's hard to just keep buying them, $25 a pop for a set shipped.
  16. I would say 27.5 pilots, needles on the center clip, and 320-330 mains.... (start with the 330) I live in Eastern, KY and that was around my setup.
  17. It was 350 mains and 30 pilots with the stock carbs and it ran great. I know what i'm doing, i didn't say I was going to make that big of a leap right off I just ordered 55's, 58's and then 62's.
  18. I have the idling perfect now actually, synced and everything. I just feel that it's lean, the motor did not get as hot as fast before. It has low end like a raped ape, but I figured that was due to the lean conditions as well
  19. that's insane.. mine sounds so lean still, new carb boots, new cross over tube, new clamps, new gaskets, new head, new o-rings, i know it's not got any air leaks
  20. Setup: 800 -1200 elevation (for starters) Port Cleanup 20cc domes w/ Noss Head .10 Over Bore pwk 28's vf3's toomey t5's and a high performance boost bottle (just kidding lol) Jetting Currently: n68a Needles on 5th position (richest) 52 pilot 158 mains It still feels lean, especially at idle. I was thinking 62 pilots and going up to 165 on the mains. The motor is getting hot as shit and I have that noss head, billet impeller, larger radiator, and engine ice. I read on a thread on here that a 175 keihn is like a 330 mikuni, is this true? If that's the case I need way bigger Any suggestions?
  21. Asking $12 shipped (first class in a envelope) If you want faster shipping, just let me know and we'll see what we can do. ebay name: justinkk2005 (It's not on ebay, just using that as a reference to prove i'm a legit seller) thanks again guys
  22. The needles did make a difference man, it was a huge difference going from the 3rd to the 5th, but i mean it was still running leaning
  23. Setup: Noss/F.A.S.T Cool Head w/ 20cc domes Port Cleanup .10 Over Bore Stock Crank VF3's T5's 28mm PWK's +4 Timing Main Jet: 158, Pilot 52 Needle: JJH 5th Position (richest) 1-1/2 turns out air screw 800 - 1300 ft elevation Hey Guys, I recently got two pwk's off of a cr 85 and a kx 85. They both had a different needle so I emailed Carb Warehouse (which charged me $7 to ship, and it only cost him $4.50 using a flat rate envelope and charged me $25 for 2 needles shipped which I find odd) and he told me to use JJH Needles. I put the needles in and had the clip on the 3rd position and it ran like shit, I mean I set the idling down all the way and it still ran almost wide open it was so lean. I then moved the clip to the 5th position and it then idled decent but sounded VERY lean while doing so. I know that a 52 pilot is sort of large for my setup and so is the main so i wouldn't think it was my jetting. I rode it and 1/4-1/2 throttle it pulled awesome (probaly due to the leaner condition) and wide open throttle it felt like it lost it's power. It ran better with the two different needles from the dirtbikes. Any suggestions?
  24. All around, but most specifically low end!
