  1. I would go with the 13 man.
  2. What is your motor combo?
  3. Mine were the same. I just blasted and painted them with some high heat satin black then came back with some sandpaper and polished the name plates for some bling. I think they came out OK.
  4. Well I guess I will stick with my billet mod quad case saver then.
  5. Who makes a nice other then metal case saver?
  6. SUX. I have a metal modquad case saver lol
  7. Jared does good work!
  8. When I got my motor ported and put back together I had this problem. It ended up being too small of a pilot jet.
  9. Hella nice bike and good luck with the sale. Are you out of North Carolina? That looks like my boys airbrushing on the tank.
  10. Just curious why not use a metal case saver?
  11. I have a legit question. If the record holding cub runs RDZ pipes then why isn't everyone just buying them? Said the newbie troller
  12. Thank you very much sir for taking the time. Here we come sleeper motor!
  13. Please help I'm only looking for a ballpark setting. Specs: 10mil Vitos 68mm jugs stock head cut for 150psi stock carbs PC pipes 100 ft above the sea
  14. A builder did the cutting. He didn't know any better not having any experience with a YZ400. He's a friend and this was years ago all has been forgivin. A lil background on the motor is the intake on the jug has no bridge- it just a huge gaping hole. In hind site it would have been better to have cut 2 windows in the piston leaving a bridge for strength. I'm also to blame because I was running it on meth so rich it was probably washing down the oil hence the extreme scaring on the intake side. Live and learn I guess. I consider myself lucky for getting to in time before the skirt let go...
  15. 2nd- less chance of hitting neutral.
  16. From what I've read and understood about the helmholtz resonator principle IS yes it does work. BUT It has to be forulated to your exact, porting, compression, dome design, carb, bore, stroke and pipe. I'm not sure timing matters though. With that said, when you change any of those variables you might as well chuck your boost bottle and start a new one.
  17. I read the entire thread 3 times.... I'm going with RDZ pipes
  18. Thats a custom forged Wiseco 83mm's. I didn't do the cutting sir.
  19. Boost ports, triple exhausts, have been around since the 70's boost bottles too. The YZ490 came with a boost bottle from the factory- what a great runner that motor was hehehaha I remember in the 90's when Raco, Yankee, and new era came out with their 1/4 scale cars, boost bottles re-invented themselves and were the rage for a minute until guys figured out they didn't work for weedwacker motors either. Fast forward 10 years when the 1/5 HPI Baja came out, they reared their ugly head again and again guys complained they didn't work.
  20. How do you multiquote around here? Anyways thats what I did to fix it the first time. I agree until this motor I've never seen one drop. I have to try something different thistime lol
  21. haha I thought you were kidding about the green.
  22. Fast sells the softer springs if you are running Keihin's. I use a 400ex thumb throttle, Motion Pro Terminator cable, and a PEP EZ pull lever.
  23. I had the piston in my 400 lightened/ported and it cracked. Just something to think about before anyone gets too crazy with a dremal.
  24. I'll use red on them both then. Thanks guys.
  25. Cool thanks mang. I'll go ahead and get that going on then.
