dude if your bike and sand in the motor first off you might wanna take the motor off frame and begin to open it if sand got in the motor pe prepared to really clean very good sand sticks to anything that got any kind oil in it and if you got to open the case order new seals and gaskets crank seals etc... you know what you got to do clean it out

hit the frame with a scoth brite pad and go buy you some rust prevention call mahigh its a primer that treats rust trust me it work i paint cars and this stuff works great nd its sandable also

i have a set of t5 that are pretty rusty the shaft on the stingers dark in color from rust and the pipes oh boy not sure what to say bout them but there rusty is all i can really say question can the be saved i thought bout sanding them with a scothbrite pad on a ziz wheel the clean the metal but i know the shine is dead or just junk them an grab a fresh pair sorry no pick this computer is an ass got an photobucket account but it shuts down everytime i try to load
