yea its gettin gas to the carbs. i sprayed some fuel in the carbs and it would start and run but then it would die after about 10 seconds. not sure if the carbs are working right or not but the bike was running perfectly a couple months ago before the rollover so i would think they would be fine. i guess im just gonna get the t.o.r.s. removal and go from there. why do these damn bikes have to be so complicated.

i unplugged the box and tried to start it and nothing happened. i pulled a plug and poured some fuel in the cylinder and kicked it and it started for about 3 seconds. so its deffinitely something to do with that stupid t.o.r.s. i wish there was a way to just unplug or bypass that stupid thing. guess im gonna be buyin the removal kit.

no i havent. do you mean unplug it and then try to start it? would that wire not being plugged in on the clutch side cause it not to start? thanks

i bought a banshee a week ago or so and it had been rolled over. it has spark but it wont start. it ran a few months ago before it was rolled and wouldnt start after the rollover. after troubleshooting via clymers manual, i have come down to t.o.r.s. as the issue. there is a wire coming from the t.o.r.s. that comes up the handlebar to the clutch side and it looks like its missing something where it plugs into the handlebar controls and i cant figure it out. can someone tell me what goes here? thanks. and again, its not letting me upload my damn pictures.

is there a way to tell by looking at a reed, if its broke or not. i have the reeds off the bike already and one of the reed gaskets were blown. could that be the problem?

just rebuilt the top end on my bike. broke it in and rode it around the block a few times without any problems. i took the bike out to my friends property yesterday, i rode it for about an hour, parked it for a while then my friend got on it and tore ass down the street and when he came back it was backfiring out of the left side. anybody know a good mechanic around me?

yea it looked likke the previous owner had some kind of sealant on it thats why i asked. thanks guys

im in the middle of redoing my top end and im tryin to figure out the size of my piston. i was told that it should say on the piston. there are numbers on my piston: 8741C and under that is 513M06550. i was thinkin that the 6550 means 65.50mm. is this correect?

the previous owner already did the porting. what exactly is a leak down test and how do i do it.

yea theres a fatty hole in the top of my brake side piston and it looks melted. but the other piston is just fine and dandy. what do you think might of caused this.

yea, ran a compression test on it and it had 60 psi in one and wouldnt show anything on the other cylinder.

so i was riding my bike yesterday and it all of a sudden lost power. the rings are probably just fried but i've never owned a shee before and was wondering if it might be anything else. how much compression should each cylinder have and is it very difficult to replace the top end on these bikes?

well that just sounds ridiculous. and i dont like the red chain either, but it works flawlessly and its almost new so ill roll with it lol

just bought my first banshee about a week ago and i am wondering why there are two valve stems on the shifter side of my engine. i tried uploading pics but it said they were too big and wouldnt let me. is this normal? if so, what the hell are they for? thanks.
