  2. I was wondering exactly how long to run the plug before you chop it? Not trying to hi-jack your thread, I'm fixin to be in the same boat as you are, so just tryin to get a little info.
  3. I am currently running 32:1 with maxima castrol. I am thinking about swapping to redline oil, just have not done it yet. I hear it burns cleaner than the maxima.
  4. Has anybody ever tried the e3 spark plugs in a shee? I was just wondering if running them might help with fouled plugs.

  6. Is it possible to weld your own crankshaft? Also is every factory crankshaft out of time, and needs to be trued?

  9. Has anyone ever run a set of OKO carbs? I was just wondering, because for 200 bucks you can get two 30mm d slides. Seems to good to be true.
  10. Thanks for your help! I will play with the mains and needles, otherwise I'll have to find some 27.5 pilots. I think I have a set of 30's Sorry meant to say 25's
  11. Also, would running an oxygenated fuel be a bad idea at that elevation?
  12. 30 pilot's, 320 mains for 70 degrees . Proly not much difference in the temperatures. I'm jetted for winter here where I live, and it's about the same temprature in the summers where I'm going.
  13. I live in texas right at 2400ft above sea leval, going to cloudcroft new mexico in 3 weeks which shows to be around 8500ft above. Running toomey t5's pods, shaved stock head, +4 timing, can't remeber jet sizes off the top of my head, any ideas on how many mains I should drop?
  14. It was a new hotrods crank everytime. Mods are in the first post, nothing to radical.
  15. Would you mind explaining a little bit more on the crank being out of phase? I have never heard of this, so this could have very well been the problem.
  16. I was running klotz at 32:1. This happened 3 times in a row. I went through both carbs, played with jetting, timing was at +4.
  17. Hey guys! Just a quick question on a 1994 banshee that I owned. It would run like a raped ape for about 10 hours, then it would seize the right rod to crank, and the right cylinder,piston, would be trash. I tore complety down, and did a leak down test when I rebuilt it, it passed, The top of the pistons both had the leathery brown look to them, so I know it was not running lean or rich. It was a stock stroke, bored .40, with a mild port job, and timing advance plate tors were not removed. Any ideas?
  18. I am looking to build a banshee for dirt/sand drags. But before I jump off into another project, I wanted to find out if there are any drag races in Texas.
  19. Like the topic says, I am needing to get my crank trued and welded. Is there anyone that you guys would suggest? Also, what are the best main bearings to run on a rebuild?
