  1. hey alf44 i had a post on some parts i was looking for. i got a set of 35mm pwks with one bowl welded im guessen cause of clearance issues. t(they came that way on the bike ) m looken for some 28mm for trade. if u have any. but im really looking for intake boots and pipe and a thumb throttle let me know what u got thanks.

  3. i got a set of used 35mm keihin pwks..with twist throttle. only thing i noticed is that the previouse owner welded the hex nut on the bottom of the bowl. but im looking to trade for a set of 28mm carbs with thumb throttle. or i'l sell for 250 if ur intrerested u can contact me through email at [email protected] or call or txt at 347-729-9736

  5. i have access to a parts washer. can i use the solvent inside the parts washer to clean the carbs or should i just use carb cleaner
  6. yea thats exactly what i was doing for the compression test.. and the tester i got is my digital snap on gauge. but i'v already order my maual. and will def look into it. AGAIN THANKS ALOT FOR EVERYONE GIVING THERE SUGGESTION AND HELPFULL HINTS...

  8. yea forsome reason now the bike will not start at all... check the plugs after trying to start. and they came out black , but not wet so i figured since the plugs were out. id try and do a compression test...my question is do i just screw in the Compression tester and kick the bike over. cause if thats what u do. my reading came outt too 100psi after 5 kicks and 75 at 5 kicks on the other cylinder..i might say im getting kinda dissapointed in this bike.. i rode it for only 5 min. when he dropped it off and it ran fine. now it dont wanna start and now i think i got a bad reading for compression.lol.. too bad ur not in my area i'd pay you to teach me how to work on this thing
  9. hey..thanks for all the info man. i really apreicate it. everything is helpfull.. you wouldnt kno why the bike wouldnt stay running would you ? i have to give it just a lil throtttle in order to keep it running...there 2 adjustment screws...the one with the nut to lock it into place and theres one thats lower that screws into the the body of the carb. thats sitting flush. which one is which ????
  10. is .30 over still considered stock ? and are the 35mm. carbs too big for that bore size? and if i were to sell them how much could i get for them.
  11. i might take you up on that offer..cause im def. not liken the twist.. how many quarts of oil do u use in the trans and in the motor oil. what kinda 2 storke oil do people usually use. the guy told me to buy yamalube... is that a good oil\gas mix ??
  12. thanks for the info. and i'll be taken that bottle off. ur def. right all fluids will be changed in a couple of days. whats a decent oil for the trans and what coolant do i use ? regualar automotive coolant ? Zilla can u tell ift he carbs that i have are what he said they were ?
  13. also the boost bottle ? is it good to have one... and if i remove it i can just run a hose from one carb to the next ? lol.. sorry for all the nooob questions guys i'll get the hang of it soon..
  14. thanks for the welcome. now when u say clearn the carbs. do you recomend removeing it from the bike and just do a break down cleaning or just spray the carb cleaner into the carb? ? and from what ur telling me about them clear hoses i think ima just buy new hose and replace everything on the bike. just so that i know that i got new lines.

  17. whats up bansheehq i just picked up a 95 shee for a price i couldnt pass up, now the bike isnt in the best of shape but it runs ok i think. from what the previouse owner told me it's been bored over .30 and it's got a boost bottle and 35mm carbs on it. the problem i came across is that trying to kick it over takes a couple of tries well more than a couple. the bikes got twist throttle setup (that i hate with a passion). i noticed that on the left side carb had a some oil residue and some amber tint to it to where the right carb had none. what could cause one carb to have oil coming out of it. ?? im mechaically inclined just never really worked with carbs any suggestions or helpfull hints would greatly be apreciated. also the clear fuel lines that are near the carbs were all dissconnected does anyone know where they go or have any picstures of there setup that i can take a look at ?
