  1. I tried some of my wheel acid on an old Blaster rim today and to my surprise it didn't remove the gold anodizing. I guess Yamaha has much better anodizing on their wheels than that intake I stripped so easily. Sorry bro, I tried lol. If you just want to clean them up really well and make them shine, the wheel acid would be key. The wheel I tried may not have stripped it's anodizing, but it sure cleaned up nice! In this case, any wheel cleaner/acid you can find at an auto parts store will suffice. Good luck!
  2. Thanks for the help guys. Should work much better with the new needles.
  3. I'm pulling my carbs off to install easy throttle springs and new intakes so I thought it would be a good time to change out the needles I'm currently running. I bought these PWK's with these "nape" needles and although I've got my bike running really well, I'm sure switching out the needles with another choice would remedy the very slight bog I'm experiencing from 0-1/4 throttle. I can't find anything regarding a Banshee running a "nape" needle so I'm sure there's something better for my bike. I may even have to drop one more size on my pilot, but I'd like to switch to a more common needle anyway. This bike pulls hard in the mid-range right through the top, but feels like it's lack just a bit down low. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Mods are: Fattys, PWK 28's, 45 pilot, 148 main, Air screw 2.5 turns out, K&N w/ pro-flo adapter, Rad-Valves, 300' ASL, approx 25c, 135psi both cylinders. 36:1 Amsoil w/ 91.
  4. You could try, but you're likely going to end up with a sub-par acid that may not work. Just get a 1 gallon jug of wheel acid from a detailer supplier and do your wheels. When you're done, you'll have a bunch left over to keep brake dust off your car's wheels. BTW, try not to breathe it or let it blow back onto your skin. It's a major irritant and not so pleasant. I use it everyday. I've never actually used it on Banshee wheels, but I used it to get ugly red anodizing off a cold-air intake one time. The end result was a nice polished/chrome look. I have an old set of gold Blaster wheels outside that I'll try tomorrow morning and will post pics of how it worked out. Wait til you hear back from me before spending any money.
  5. Run it through your lawnmower. I run all my old bad gas through my lawnmower, mixed or not lol. If it smokes, you've got mixed fuel. If it doesn't, go pick up some Amsoil.
  6. Get some wheel acid from an auto detail shop or car dealership.. Spray it on the anodized surface, let sit for a minute, rinse off the wheel while scrubbing it with a soft sponge. The anodizing should come right off with ease.
  7. The OP stated a TRX450 so he was referring to the quad version.
  8. Dibs on the a-arms! PM on the way.
  9. I'm looking for a set of used ASV shorty levers. Must be in good condition. Let me know what you have, along with your paypal addy. Also looking for a a chrome bumper in great condition. Let me know what you have. Thanks.
  10. Nice looking bike. I regret trading my mint YZ400f for the gf's Blaster. That big 400 pulled HARD!
  11. Hibnecker, are you running an airbox with that setup? I've been wanting to ditch the box, but I have concerns about any splashing water getting past my filter. Just got a K&N with outerware.
  12. Will the billet intake work with rad valves and 28mm PWKs?
  13. I'll take the billet shifter. How's $20?? Shoot me your paypal info. I use a UPS depot in Clayton, NY.
  14. Yea I'd still sell it. Make me an offer and we'll work something out. Thanks.
  15. That is a fucking beautiful Aprilia man. Make sure you post lot's of pics while building this thing. I gotta see it!
  16. That's nothing. Post pics when you get some real go-fast parts, like a boost bottle!
  17. I'm at about 300 asl and just did a compression test and came up with 135psi on both cylinders. I think anything over 120 is healthy in terms of top end
  18. I'll be outside for a bit messin with the shee, but if you have a close look at them and there are no obvious dents or bends, I'll take them. Just need your paypal addy.
  19. I just want to be sure. Is it the bottom ones with the good pegs that are $90? If so I think I might take them. Are there any dents or are they bent in any way?
  20. Looks like yet another mistake in the Clymer manual. I know there have been a couple pointed out already. 1. Method for secondary coil testing 2. Coolant overflow bottle is refered to as the reservoir and they say to top up your coolant there, and not the radiator. 3. Clutch O-ring
  21. Bruins game, Heineken, 50" plasma. Fuck yea.

  22. I'll take the K&N with Pro flo adapter and outerware. Will you take $30 shipped to 13624? I'll send paypal tonight. I won't be needing the airbox piece.
  23. Killer pics. Looks like a blast!
  24. If your bike is warmed up and it dies when you pull the chokes out, everything should be fine. When you pull the choke out, it's dumping extra fuel in, which bogs it down and kills the engine. I don't see a problem.
  25. I don't need any. I got me a shit-ton of colon blow from SLORYDER. Shoulda seen what I found when I started poking my shit around with a #2 pencil!! LOL
