I have a 98 YZ400F in awesome condition I'd trade. Blue in color. No cracks in plastics. Pulls very hard. Gripper seat cover, otherwise stock.

Go easy on the guy. Who gives a fuck how he spells or speaks. This isn't Webster'sDictionaryHQ.com, so how about helping the man, instead of putting him down? OP.. I'm not really the best guy to be giving you advice on this but if I had to guess, I'd say you're running rich. Also, are you sure you're carbs are working in sync? You might want to invest in the sync tool and start there while you're rejetting. Savage usually chimes in on these types of problems. He's always a great help. Good luck.

Nice work man. Great job on the seat.

Whats the best pickup truck from 99 to current``
SheezFast02 replied to SandmanPNW's topic in Cars and Trucks
Brand new, I'd go with the Tundra. 99 models, that's tough. Probably F-150. Just sold my 2000 Silverado and they're tempermental bastards... From the shitty cable operated power window regulators right down to the shitbox 4L60e transmissions. Stay away from them! -
Thanks Matt.

Fully Rebuilt Carbs w/ Cable!(PIC)
SheezFast02 replied to SheezFast02's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Thanks EC. What I meant is aftermarket intakes that'll take 28's. CARBS HAVE BEEN SOLD LOCALLY! -
Finally got a pic of the carbs I have for sale.. Stock 26mm carbs, recently cleaned and fully rebuilt. TORS tops are on but the wires are cut. Setup with 27.5 pilots and 280 mains. Selection of new jetting comes with these carbs.( New 290 and 300 mains as well as used 220 mains and 25 pilots) Carbs are complete with cable and ready to bolt on. Will need to be synchronized. Asking $75 obo shipped. Will accept trade for aftermarket grille, 28mm intakes, or whatever else you might have to offer.

I'll take a set of those. Mind shooting me your Paypal address and I'll send payment tomorrow after work? Ryan

I'll definitely be packing the silencers. I didn't gut them so they'd be loud. When I bought them from another HQ member, they needed to be re-packed and I haven't decided what to pack them with yet so I threw them on just to test run the new jetting. I live beside a cop station, so I don't want it too loud. Fucking cops around here have nothing better to do than to ticket people for having fun. I also wear a lid as well. Thanks again for your help.

I don't know anything about building an FI setup, but just wanted to give you the heads up to not accidentally buy the throttle-by-wire TB's from an R1.. But you probably already knew that.

Mine was the same way when I bought it. Finally cleaned the carbs up real good and with help from the BHQ guys on jetting, my Banshee fires up easily. It's great.

Thanks for the help. Yea I'm going to be running Keihin PWK 28's rather than the stock Mikuni's, so the numbers are different.. For instance, I have 280 mains in the stock 26mm carbs. I've read a little about people packing the cans with pink panther insulation instead of the ripoff FMF kits. I think I'll try it. Thanks again.

Parting out my dunner 404 vitos, +4 swinger
SheezFast02 replied to TexasBansheeMan's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Really interested in the billet intakes. Can I see a pic, and will they fit 28mm carbs? If they're in good shape and will fit I'll send Paypal. -
Was in the process of switching out the old carbs for PWK28's and noticed a crack in my left factory intake so I popped it off to find that my Shee is running Boyesen Rad Valves. So I am wondering, will this change how I should jet my new carbs? I got 158-160 mains and waiting for 52 Pilots. Mind telling me if this is right? -FMF Fattys w/ PC2 cans gutted -PWK 28mm with 52 pilot and 158 or 160 main -UNI 2stage foam filter -Airbox on.. NO LID -ModQuad Cool Head 21cc domes -Boyesen Rad Valve w/ carbon reeds -300' above sea level (approx) -36:1 Amsoil Interceptor with 91 Octane Also, should I have the clip in the middle groove on the needles, and how many turns out on the air screw? Thanks a bunch.

Up for sale is a set of factory 26mm Banshee carbs that were completely rebuilt and throroughly cleaned a few days ago. All parts are new from MOOSE. TORS tops are still on and throttle cable is included. Carbs are currently set up with 27.5 Pilots and 280 mains. I also have brand new 290 and 300 mains I'll throw in as well as used 25 pilots and 220 mains. Looking to get $90 shipped or will trade for aftermarket intake. Pics later. Thanks for looking.

Just found a crack in the stock intake. Looking to buy a used aftermarket intake or a stock one with no cracks. Also need a carb sync tool. Let me know what you have. Intake must fit 28mm carbs. Thanks.
-
Thanks for the easy to understand write-up. I'm a noob when it comes to multiple carbs so this will help a lot. Now I just have to order the sync tool.
-
Forgot to mention that the temps feel like 37 C with the humidity today, for what it's worth. Thanks for any help.

I just finished rebuilding the carbs with the MOOSE factory rebuild kits. I thoroughly cleaned everything with carb cleaner and reassembled the carbs, and took this opportunity to rejet to compensate for FMF Fattys w/ Powercore 2's and NO LID. I put everything back on the bike, crossed my fingers and gave it a kick. Fired right up! This bike never started right up like this when I bought it, plus it sat for a while from the time I took it apart til now, due to being busy with other things. Anyway, I'm experiencing a major bog at bottom end when I start rolling form a dead stop. I'm running 27.5 pilot with 280 mains at 330' elevation. I know my carbs will need to be sync'd, but I was just making sure it would run before going ahead. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Seems like a rich condition but some members said I might be going with a 290-300 main by the time I was done. If it was running lean, wouldn't it be idling really high?

Float Height For Factory Carbs?
SheezFast02 replied to SheezFast02's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Perfect. They were dead on. Thanks for the help. -
I just cleaned and rebuilt the factory carbs and I'm in a hurry to get them back together. Can someone please tell me what the recommended float height is on the stock carbs? Thanks.
