  1. Just my opinion. If you're going to spend the money on port work you should also invest in a long rod crank. Trued & welded. Did you ever reach Cam? If not keep calling. He will advise you from start to finish. Seriously he's the one stop shopping experience.
  2. Like the rest said . Brandon stepped in to help his dad out. Sacrificed his own business to do so. Last I spoke to him he was up to his eyeballs restructuring both businesses that his dad handed off to him. Shay is trying to keep the retail piece going and Brandon will consider piece work on a very limited basis. Good luck.
  3. Yeah Cam can be a little tough to get a hold of. Trying myself. I guess when you're in high demand you have to focus on the bench work Good luck Troy
  4. Have to agree with the other guys. Don't waist your money on Athena. Are your stock cylinders in good shape. What bore are they on? If they're still fresh simply send them to a site sponsor for port work. Or start looking for a virgin set, scoop them up and send those out. BTW welcome to BHQ Troy
  5. Looks really nice. I hate polishing parts. Your bike looks awesome too. What color plastics are you going with?
  6. PM sent. I'll take it if it's still available. Troy
  7. Any pics of this bike you're working with. Just curious
  8. Nice build. Just curious are you into this build for 6k without the motor?
  9. Yeah call Dennis. He will take care of you right away. Great guy and parts will come super quick. Here's his number 1-801-451-6142 or 1-801-547-7561 Good luck Troy
  10. I'll think I'll wait another 20 minutes and see if you come down again Couldn't resist. Troy
  11. Any chance that swing arm comes with axle housing?
  12. Kind of like the Lectrons too. I've also heard that Mikuni's work very well if you have the skills to dial them in. Think I'll stay with Lectrons .
  13. Have to agree Carlos. May want to hit up the local drug dealer and throw them on his triple beam
  14. If I were you I would PM Surfjag ( Justin ) He 's producing some impressive numbers on stock cylinders. If your cylinders are set up wrong he may have something that can work for you. Either way he WILL get you set up for a more then fair price. Great guy that won't empty your pockets. Good luck. Troy
  15. Could use a few sets myself. Ticktock made me a nice set a few years back. Sure could use another set for my boys bike. Thanks Troy
  16. ^^ yep that's exactly right. Damn near killed his ass.
  17. You should buy from members here. Just post what you are looking for in the parts wanted section. Most of the members here offer great parts for excellent prices. Good luck Troy
  18. There a really nice set Grey. Ran them on my bike for one race day at Newtown. I'll see if I can find a pic. Troy
  19. Yep. Worked out for me though Thanks again Surf / Sprinkles
  20. Didn't mean to sound offensive. As for actual advice on building. Open up and let me spoon feed you Fatboy. * Build or buy at least a 421 Cub motor $3,000 * +10 swing arm $ 400 * A-Arms with struts $ 400 * 14 Paddle Extremes $ 400 * Spindle mount front tire set up $ 350 * 38-40mm carbs $350 * Intakes to match $100 * dual feed pingel fuel petcock $80 * Drag style steering stem $150 * JJ&A Drag axle $ 500 * extra add ons not listed $ 1,000 So you're right around $7,000 to build your drag bike. And if I can be blunt , You will spend this money and get your ass handed to you by a 14 year old / 120lb snot nosed kid. Take Brett's advice and build a Bracket Bike Troy
