  1. The exact same thing happened to me. If you are running 160 psi then you should really consider adjusted the timing back to 0. My problem was I had purchased an aftermarket CDI and I advanced my timing to +4, what I didn't realize is that the CDI also advanced my timing +4 so I was running a +8 and that was causing the issue on my right cylinder, I burned a hole in 2 pistons before I figured this out. If you dont have an aftermarket CDI I would suggest that you go back to 0 on your timing because truthfully +4 makes a small difference. If you really want to smoke your buddies and dont have alot of cash, go get your jugs ported. the best bang for your buck in my opinion, I haven't lost yet and its been 2 years.
  2. Just bought one from ASI on ebay fo $75 shipped to my door and it kept my banshee 30% cooler than stock as advertised, but the radiator cap was a little cheap so I just threw my stock one back on. If I would have known that herr jugs racing had one I would have purchased the radiator from them, keep it american when you can.
  3. Yeah, Ill fixed the bolts first and then go from there. Thx
  4. I will take some pictures and post them as soon as I get off of work, I measured the tranny oil so its not overfilled.
  5. 50:1 using H1R Thought about that too, so I bought new springs and o'rings for my exhaust where the exhaust connects to the cylinders. I have a small leak because I see the smoke coming out but I really dont think the exhaust is the source.
  6. Guys, Need your help. I'm leaking fluid (by the feel I think its tranny oil) but I can't find where the leak is. It doesn't leak while the shee is parked but after a ride its all over the place. I went for a night ride last night and when I got home there was oil on both carbs (more oil on the right side then the left and on the pod k&n filters). There was oil on the engine, frame, rear shock. Now I was missing 2 bolts from the crancase cover (on the water pump side) I made it so there wasn't 2 bolts missing right next to each other. Does anyone think that the 2 missing screws could cause a leak, or is it something else. I have a 2006 Special edition Banshee: ported, cool head, 17cc domes, K&N Pod filters, V-force power reeds, FMF Fatty exhaust. My banshee runs very well but I need to fix this issue. I ordered 2 screws for the crankcase and also 2 new gaskets for the carb float bowls just in case. Any ideas?????
  7. So tell me did the china made radiator last?
  8. I rolled my banshee and cracked the rear plastics. Its not too bad, its crack all the way thru but you can push the all the pieces together. I bought a plastic welder. Does anyone know how to weld plastic? If so, how did it turn out? Is there a procedure out there?
  9. You're the MAN!!!!!!! Disconnected the TOR, and the Banshee came back from the dead. Thanks Bro...
  10. Hey Guys, Need your help. Last August my Banshee was running great after a port job last year. I parked it for about 2 months then tried to start it and it wouldn't start. Tried pull starting it wouldn't start, felt like it wasn't getting any spark. I mean I was pulling it from the back of a truck and that couldn't get it to fire up. I followed the clymer troubleshooting tips and now it starts perfect and stays running like it use to but about 1/4 throttle it Boggs down and dies as if the parking brake was on and the T.O.R.S were limiting the engine from revving. I checked & cleaned the carbs and jets. Checked compression and I’m right where I was when my Banshee was running great. Took off the cool head and inspected the pistons and thru the exhaust port inspected the rings, no issues. Drained the fuel tank and put in fresh gas still have the same issue. I'm stumped need your help. Thanks, Chris
