  1. i need a thumb throttle set up. my bike has a twist throttle and i cant stand it. looking for the complete set up, even a throttle cable made for the tors eliminator kit would be great since im not running any tors. shoot me a price shipped to 44651, and send a picture to [email protected]
  2. i have never run my original rockets on a stock cylinder bike, i did run my cpi's and my new r2's on a stock cylinder for best comparison. i wrote a little review on the r2 pipes. as far as top end, both pipes pulled great through the top end, r2's seemed to have more of a kick in the mid range than the cpi, and pulled like crazy through the top.
  3. shot you a text yesterday, but never got a response back
  4. i have my r2's on my hjr dune port, with 35pwks now. have been messing with the carbs, and i think i have them dialed in pretty good. when i have some time, im going to throw my cpi's on and see how they compare back to back. also maybe throw my original rockets on the same bike.

    Deer Roping

haha, i read it twice and laughed even more the second time through. i could just picture someone doing that. haha i would have loved to watch that in person, hell even a video.
  6. looking for a set of paddles, perferably on rims. and size rim that have a banshee bolt patter. 8,9,10in. would like straight paddles, not really looking for anything else. nothing crazy priced, i have saw a couple of nice skat trak haulers on rims for around 200-225 shipped. also looking for 8 or 9 paddle perferably.
  7. I think it looks pretty cool.
  8. i have one spare end cap for t5's i would be willing to sell. message me if you like
  9. my review was a my stock cylinder bike, which i have now changed over to a set of dune ported cylinders, and 35pwks. i posted the reviews in both the image section under my photos. and in the for sale section under the r2 pipes for sale.
  10. i run marshall chains on everyone of my banshees, and 200x, never had a problem. my buddy broke my last d.i.d chain in half off my banshee. never had one issue with the marshall, i get them through my grandpas motorcycle shop. (dealer cost woop woop huh jammer) i would buy 2 of them before i bought an rk or d.i.d. and i can get them at cost also. i wouldnt buy those colored cheap chains off ebay, someone on here had a picture of there's about to break, and i didnt hear that great of things on other forums about them either. as far as sprockets i usually run sunstar. just like bansheesandrider said aluminum seem to wear faster, if you just ride woods, stick with steel.
  11. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=130621 here is a link to the pipe review on my r2's i did. also another guy and my buddy Jammer chimed in. i have ran fmf fatty's, gnarly's, t5's, cpi, dynoport 2:1, and original rockets. i dont think i would ever go back. my review was done on stock cylinders, which i have ran all the pipes i mentioned, except for the original rockets on a stock port, for the best comparison. i just put my dune ported hjr cylinders on. i will be doing another review here in the next couple days once it dries up. i will also put my cpi, t5s, and original rockets, to see how they all compare to the new r2's on my ported cylinders with 35 pwks. my buddy jammer also has a set of shearer i think we will throw in the mix. it will be about a week or two, but should get a test on all the pipes back to back. dont get me wrong, fmf ran good, but the r2's you could definatly feel the difference. the first thing my buddy said when he got off my bike was, there was no comparison between the r2's and the fmf gnarly's ( i sold to him) that he ran, the r2's shined in every aspect over them (and my fatty's). i would have to say the r2's will be more responsive to good mid to top end port over the fmf's also. but its all in what you want, and if your working on a budget. the closest thing to the r2's would have to be the cpi, in my opinion, with the r2's having alot stronger bottom to them. (i like the cpi over the t5's personally on the stock cylinder) my chrome cpi sb inframes will probably be for sale here in the next couple weeks, my chrome r2's will be here mid next week.
  12. oh and i should have my chrome set of r2's by mid next week. so i will have more pictures of my bikes and g/f posted.
  13. jimmy check out my image thread, it has my review on the r2 pipes on stock cylinders, along with another guys review. My buddy jammer also gave a little review on what he thought about the pipes.i have ran fmf gnarly, fatties, dyno port 2:1, toomey t5, cpi, and i dont think i would ever go back. i have the original rockets also, but never got a chance to run them on the stock cylinders, for a comparison. whenever it dries up, i now have my dune ported cylinders from hjr on my bike now with 35 pwks. so i will be writing another review. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=130621
  14. i live about a half hour away from there. maybe 45 min at the most. i think a group of us are going down memorail day weekend on sat. i will probably have my rhino. i will shoot you a message if we do.
  15. its in the for sale thread. i think they are 450 for the black, and 600 for chrome shipped.
  16. i ran my new set of r2's on a stock cylinder to get the best comparison to other pipes i have ran. like i said i wouldnt go back in my previous post. i have never ran the original rockets on a stock cylinder tho to compare, they are on my red shee that has a r and b dune port. i have a set of hjr dune ported cylinders on my orange shee, getting ready to do a run with the r2's once i get my jets for my 35 pwks.
  17. i did not find them on ebay. they sold? or do you have a link?
  18. x2 i have the original set and a a set of the new r2's. great set of pipes. i have ran cpi, toomey t5, fmf fatty, fmf gnarly, and a dynoport 2 into 1. i wouldnt go back.
  19. i was not trying to be a dick, but i gave my best/honest description in my review already. the pipes do not come on hard on the low end like a lowend pipe. but they do have a strong torque feel to them, especially for being a mid to top end pipe that they are. Like i said they have no lag, and on my stock cylinders no "dead spot" on the bottom, unlike other mid to top end pipes that have really nothing until they hit the power band. these had a smooth but strong low end, i was able to lug it around the field, all i had to do was hit the throttle and the mid range would rip. just clicking it into gear and letting the clutch out i could feel a differnce in the bottom end compared to the cpi's, and toomey's. by thursday, i will have my hjr dune ported cylinders on, with the 35 pwks to see how they work on a good mid to top end port job. I will be getting another pair in chrome within the next week, so i will put some pictures up with them mounted on my orange bike, and my red banshee. i have the original rockets on my red bike now, so you can see a comparason between the old and new r2s.
  20. people dont read very well...lol Start-up the pipes had a nice crisp sound, clicking it into gear and letting the clutch out, the bike was very responsive, no lag, great torque and throttle response. I was able to lug it around the field no problem, a little shot from the throttle the bike thrust forward and the pipes were on.
  21. R2 PIPE REVIEW Bike- 1998 Yamaha banshee Mods- stock cylinders, ported reed cages with boysen reeds, .030 milled stock head. R2 pipes, stock carbs running 280 mains, 27.5 pilots, +2 swing-arm, HD clutch kit, yfz450 complete front end conversion. Conditions- 70 degrees, sunny, altitude about 1100ft, gravel road, and mowed field for testing Initial review- I bought this set of R2 pipes off of ebay, Tom was great with communication, answered every question I had, and a pleasure to talk to. He even asked if I needed help on how to cut my plastics for the fitment of these pipes. I received the pipes in 3 business days. Packaging was nice, neat, and packed very well. The welds and craftsmanship looks great on the pipes. I bought a set of high temperature black painted pipes, paint was perfect, no blemishes. Fitment- the pipes were some of the best fitting pipes I have used, bolted right on without a hassle. Immediately you could see with Tom’s new design, the fuel petcock was easier to reach, and that a plug check was more accessible than the original Rockets. Also sitting on the bike, my legs did not rest against the pipes like they do on the previous Rockets. Start-up the pipes had a nice crisp sound, clicking it into gear and letting the clutch out, the bike was very responsive, no lag, great torque and throttle response. I was able to lug it around the field no problem, a little shot from the throttle the bike thrust forward and the pipes were on. Mid range is where these pipes kicked in on the stock cylinders. They hit hard, and pulled very hard showing no signs of shutting off clear to the top. Once the power band hit, it would set my new ITP holeshots spinning. Even with the +2 swingarm the front end wanted to come up, and would with ease on demand. On my bike these pipes had no “dead spot” they had a nice responsive bottom end to them, clear up to the top. Through every gear they pulled, and was easy to keep it in the revs. I have ran fmf fatty’s, Toomey t5’s and cpi inframes on my stock cylinders. The fmf’s are really no comparison, the R2’s shined in every aspect over the fmf’s. This was actually the first statement my buddy said after he took my bike for a ride. Even over the t5’s and cpi’s the mid hit was harder, and it pulled more through the top. Overall i am very pleased with the pipes. You can tell a lot of time went into these pipes, when you have a pipe that performs in all aspects a pipe should. Andrew
  22. here are a couple pics of my bike with the r2's on. i have more pictures in the image section.
  23. I noticed that the other day on rockymountainatv.com they didnt have the mxr-6's on the website anymore. the mxr-4 the price went up to $79, they use to be around $60 bucks and they only have one tire size now. does anyone know for sure they quit making the mxr series and why the prices went up so much? they are my favorite tire choice, and i always thought they were decently priced.
  24. yep, some of the best fitting pipes i have installed.
  25. i will upload some pictures of my orange/black bike with the r2's tomorrow, and take it for its first test ride with the stock cylinders. Before i switch over to my hjr dune ported cylinders, and 35 pwk's.
