  5. I did a search and looks like a stock cr motor makes low 60. I would think you should make a little more with your set up. If your both tuned/geared right I think it would come down to the best rider with a slight edge to you. I'm willing to bet if he is going to go thru all the trouble of stuffing a cr500 motor in a 450 frame he will do a little more motor work as well.

  8. Had the same problem and it was a nut on the top on the carbs. I'm guessing that one of your carbs has a slight air leak.

  10. Opened up the radiator and its down and inch and oily.
  11. Plugs looked good.
  12. My banshee is a 4 mil dune port +4 timing fmf pipes cool heads. Its at 155 psi so I run a mix of race and pump gas, 50/50. It was dynoed tuned and started 2nd kick every time. Wednesday getting ready to go to the dunes, I have to kick and kick to finally get it started. I was guessing that it sat for about a month so, and it just need to get the fuel back in the carbs. Also I noticed a small amount of fuel on the floor when I was starting it. Friday when I got to the dunes, it was hard starting but once I got her running shee ran great. I went riding for about 30 min and headed back to camp. Got back ate dinner and went out again. I was running up a slight incline and the bike died. I tried starting and no luck. I let it sit for 10 mins or so and then got it to start, drove back to camp pulled plugs and they look oily so I cleaned them up and it fired back up again. So I took off again and just about the same spot the bike die and this time tires stop spinning. I tried kicking it over and it wouldn't even turn over. I let it sit for a few minutes then kicked it over there was no compressions. Bike kicked over supper easy, way to easy. Got towed back to camp, bike is toast. I noticed the exhaust pipes look light gray with no oily residue. I guessing bike got lean some how? I can put in a new top end but I'm wanting to know the cause so I don't keep going threw top ends. The bike had about 12-15 gallons of gas ran threw it on a total rebuild. Any thought on where to start?
  13. If anyone wants to chip in for gas, I'll drive all day friday ride saturday and come home on sunday.
  14. Very true, I only have Friday morning and leave sunday so its not worth the extra time for only a day and 1/2 of riding.
  15. I'm a 4 mil running 14/43. I was stock gearing and had a big bog before switching.

  17. I didn't see were it was leaking for so I'm guessing its just the carbs. the trany level is about 3 inches from the top so I'm go to go.
  18. I have a shee but it never come with a dip stick just a plug. My question is how long is the dip stick from top of threads to the full oil mark. I was moving my banshee and noticed oil on the floor but couldn't tell if it was coming from the carbs or if I had a leak. Thanks
