  8. as far as your union get some 3/4'' heater hose and use 1'' hose clamps on both sides, and yes the silencer does use a rubber bushing! a bolt and washer! no spacer! take one of your stingers to autozone, pep boys, orileys.. and go to the help me section you will find all kinds of rubbers you will find some that work well!

  11. ok so if i run my 26's how mutch should i go up on my jettingi had i dyno tuned om fmf sst's, it was dead on at 330 mains 25 pilots and center clip on needle, 1.5 turns out on air screw. im thinking 350-30 i can get the needle and air set easy! oh and the reason im going to run the 13-44 is ill be using 23'' haulers for drag ant i think it will help with the loss of bottom with the shearer's. if it doesent work well ill have a 14 to throw on!

  13. when i get back im sending them to f.a.s.t to get drag ported. so in my current set up i will loose alott of bottom gowing to 35's. but would it gain any top? ill be mostly draging and hill climbing balls out! if the 35's will do me more harm than good ill just rejet the 26's for these new pipes. id just like to go with as mutch as i can you know?
  14. WHEN I BAUGHT MY BIKE I WAS TOLD IT HAD A FAST DUNE PORT BUT IVE FOUND OUT THAT THAT WAS BS! THE INTAKES WERE THE ONLY PART PORTED SOME GUYS HAVE TOLD ME THATS A MX PORT, HEAR IS MY QUESTION I JUST GOY SHEARER'S SBIF'S AND I AM WANTING TO GO TO SAHARA PRETTY SONE! SHOULD I RUN MY STOCK CARBS OR MY PWK35'S ARE THE 35'S TO BIG FOR LESS THAN A DUNE PORT? WHEN I GET BACK FROME THE DUNE ITS TEARDOWN TIME! BUT I GOTTA GET AWAY IM GOING CRAZY
  15. ok im planning on gowing to the dunes next month, i finnaly got rid of the fmf sst's for some shearer's sbif pipes, my bike is a stock stroke 392cc with a cool head 20cc domes! when i got this thing it was in pieces the top end is all fresh and bottom was gone threw, i was told that the cylinders were dune ported by fast! well ive learned alott since then and now i know that the cylinders have had some intake porting thats it so id even say they are stock! my long run plan is to get a set of pwk 35's and send these cylinders to fast to get a drag port and opt for 18cc domes, but no stroker! like i said id like to go on this trip so my question is how will these sheare's work on stock cylinders temporarily? and should i jet my stock carbs for these pipe's or would i be better off getting the 35's now? ill say it again its just one trip and as soon as i get back its tear down time! i just got a itch to get away and ride for a few days!!!!!! also with 80. over ultra lites, cool head 18cc domes, dragport's, pwk 35's, vf3's, plus 5 timing, sheare's, on race gas what kinda power can i expect. it was at 57hp with the fmf's and vm26's
  16. mask off your lines and cut them with a jigsaw- fine blade! overshoot the line by a 1/8'' when its all cut use a d,a or orbital sander to clean up the edges! if you start with 80 grit and go to 220, 320, 400 when you finnaly get to the tape line block sand with 600! and it will look factory. HAVE FUN B PATIENT!

  20. i got my new shearer's in on friday. and bolted them up today the guys at sand toys said they were nickel plated chrome. it looks verry nice ill keep you posted as to how they hold up. im a litle dissapointed how they fit though! the left side is all up on a frame tube i tried to make adjustments but it is what it is
  21. clean your pipes with brake cleaner then pollish them with brasso! as far as ur silencers sand them with 200-320-400-600 then pollish with mothers! tip the more time you spend sanding the better they will turn out
