YA*AM*A*HEAD

ok guys been looking for hours and havent found anyone with the same problems as myself...i have a stock 2000 banshee..with stock mukuni carbs with tors still on it.. it has a k an n air filter, boysen power reeds ,and pro circut and 304 sliencers other than that its stock and i ride at like 800 ft above sea level ....it has 300 mains and 27.5 poilets at 2 1/2 turns out .running caster oil at 9 ounces per 3 gallons of 93..plugs look a little dark cardboard color but not bad ,,,the problem is it runs great below 1/4 throttle above that it is missing on one cylinder til i let off the gas ...i replaced reeds, got rid of boost bottle, made sure there are no air leaks ....no sure were to look now ...i was wondering if the tors could be cutting out one cylinder ? can i bypass tors without changing carb tops just to see if that is what is causing my problem??

i just got mine like you and am having same problem but with a bog on top end also i went to 290 mains and need to get some 27.5.. sounds like you need some 27.5 pilots to get rid of the low end bog ....i have yet to do mine so i cant say for sure if that is the cure but when i do i will let you know ...dont give up banshees are fast ....i can out run a friends 08 special edition yfz450 thats piped and jetted ...imagine the smile you get from wooping a new 7000 dollar machine :biggrin:

mine has knda the same symptoms .sounds like you float level is way off ..and possably needs rejetted ...for the bottom end .....just a thought try removing the air box top and see if it changes ...

hey guys new to the site and to banshees ...but olny own yamaha ...i have a 2000 banshee...smalll mods vforce reeds boost bottle ,,,and was told a jet kit(270 mains and .25 stock piolets) .and procircuit ss pipes ...i has a bog for the first 3 to 4 seconds on takeoff of having to feather the throttle ,,,after rpm come up it is a raped ape til 5 and 6 gear wot it kinds bogs but if i let off to 3/4 throttle and feather it it aint so bad i am running caster 927 at 32;1....do i need to jet or thin my oil mix down to like 50;1....thanks hope someonr can point me in the rite direction .........*HEAD*
