  1. hey, i remember those... man they are sexy now. wish i could use them, i would buy them back. good luck with the sale.
  2. winter sucks... i wanna ride

  3. haha, atleast it was valid, helpful to some i'm sure, and with good intentions. more than most newbs could claim...
  4. it was nice, ask anyone that went to the hq ride, they prolly saw it. i'll see if i can find some pics.
  5. haha, i actually text him right after i replied to see if he cared if i posted progress pics for him. haven't heard back from him yet. i will search for his current bike as it started. its a 535 t-rex in an LSR singe arm chassis.
  6. i do happen to have a fast clutch in my bike now, without a lockup i might add, and am very satisfied. more than that, i am really impressed with this thread/write-up. i think more threads like this would be very beneficial, especially for the newer people. i would def encourage more threads on different topics. thanks jeff
  7. haha, you are right. i appreciate the good reading material as i dont have much else to do.
  8. have any of you saying "fail" seen his last build? his shit takes detail to the next level. this dude is a good friend of mine and can't wait to see the progress bro... the stuff he is doing on this build will definitely be something not seen before.
  9. haha, i think that's more appropriate fir the ol' "takes one to know one" comment, lol
  10. best summary of EVERYTHING, ever... i wanna see the response to this. i dont think anyone could have said it better.
  11. i have always been a fan of the k&n style filter. it just seems like to me they would flow better than a uni style filter. i have to tests/data/dyno numbers to show that, just a feeling. but, because i suck with a tape measure, my last frame build required me to run uni filters because there isn't room for the k&n style pods i have. it seems to run fine and i dont think i have anhy issues with them, but when i build my new frame, i will switch back for sure.
  12. isn't a 21 pretty common up front?? i would be interested to see some pics of 23" fronts... might look goofy, who knows??
  13. cool build, def different with that long swinger, lol. what/who's frame is that?? not something i have seen before. i like how it is all angles vs bends and rounded.
  14. 3rd person?? wtf are you talking about? n2o, i think the answer is YES... am i right?? do i get a prize?
  15. dude, the ride is months away. its not like it takes months of planning to coordinate a race like he is wanting. here watch: ok, how bout friday @ 4 pm, every builder that is there, show up at the back drag strip ready to race. holy shit i figured it out in 3 seconds. but really, dune racing is just fun, nobody can really walk away claiming to be the fastest unless it was just blatantly obvious, which i doubt it would be with a group of very well tuned, hard running bikes. so next, people say to talk to don and get the track set up for us to use... that is more of a pain than its worth and then LSPS has liability and on and on and on and on... everyone just show up, get drunk, race, dune and have a good time.
  16. i'm still confused... did he think this was a banshee modded to fit yfz plastics or something?? looks like a cool bike though
  17. ya, guess you can always cut more off, but not really put more back on
  18. how bout built bikes with stock pipes... that would be awesome. i bet we could get a few sets together for loners.
  19. what prolly happened was someone went riding and forgot their key. its easy to re-wire it so it would run without the key without taking the key switch out. we had to do that a long time ago when i was a kid if i remember right.
  20. builder race would be cool i guess, but really no point to it. everyone is coming from different parts of the country racing differently than what they do at home. i know if i took my bike to the long drag hill at LS, ut, i would toast my motor because my bike isn't set up for that.... still think, to this day, the best time i ever had racing was the last night of the first hq ride where everyone was hot lapping their bikes for hours til the sun went down and we had to go in. best time ever...
  21. i always liked the rears cut just a little narrower... the line/bend in them just a couple inches in from your tape creates a nice point at the back when cut there. but good luck. get that thing powder coated and get a common color theme going, haha.
  22. i can't give any advice on specific tire, but i would get as tall a tire you can find, within reason. i would say a 22-23" tire just for the simple reason of more ground clearance. even a stock piped banshee would have plenty of power to turn them, especially with a 13t front sprocket. some will disagree, but i always liked a taller tire for the trails.
