  1. Thanks Starwriter ill have to take a look at it and see what the deal is when i get home. When i bought the bike it had a key switch and a safety kill switch and tors removed and all the tors wires. I disconnected the safety kill switch bc it was all rigged up. I rather just remove the ignition. I was also thinking about adding a battery to run the lights but first i wanna get everything else worked out. Thank you everyone!
  2. Hey guys searched and couldn't find a thread so i figured id start one. When my shee was running it would only start with the key turned to the off position. Any ideas why? I bought a new key ignition and it runs the same way. Even tried to re-wiring the ignition and it still only runs when key is in the off position.
  3. with each post i feel like i need to go pick up the banshee and go through it myself. Id feel more comfortable doing it myself and listening to you guys! I have spent way too much money and time for no results! i just took him a new stator cdi and coil. the only reason its still there is because its "warranty" work but i guess thats not really getting me any closer haha. I would like to thank everyone for the comments makes me feel a little better.
  4. at this point im almost ready to just go pick it up and take it somewhere else or do it myself...ahhhh
  5. thats what worries me! its all back together now but no spark. changed stator and it gets a spark and sometimes it doesn't, one thing after the next!
  6. turns out the flywheel nut came lose and sheared the key. said he is putting t back together and i should have it soon. im just concerned with all the meal shavings that were in the transmission oil, would that all have came from the sheared key? wouldnt you have to split the cases and clean it all out?
  7. With the busy holiday i didnt have much time to mess with the shee. The builder who rebuilt it said bring it back to him and he will take care of it. Hopefully the right way this time and free of charge!!! I will let you guys know as soon as i hear back from him. been about a week and havent heard anything yet.
  8. Thanks Yamaha Driver for reposting my video! Builder- Boost bottles are no good? could this cause me problems down the road? or just not worth the money? 32:1 pre-mix and a local builder did the rebuild for me. He said he would warranty the motor if something didnt work correctly but not the crank or pistons because i supplied them and he didn't purchase them (my fault i guess). He said it could be in the tranny? There were a bunch of metal shavings in the tranny oil and they were stuck to the magnetic drain plug and it was pretty dark ,all fluids were fresh as it was just rebuilt and the thing didnt run long at all. I pulled off the right side cover and everything looked good. I guess ill move onto the other side and then move to top end. Oh yea i removed the exhaust to take the side cover off and looked into the exhaust port and slowly kicked the motor over with my hand and the piston was moving up and down and i didnt see anything abnormal but you can only see so much. Ill just have to get the top end off.
  9. cant get the link to work in my post, could someone tell me how to add a video?
  10. New to the forum and new to the banshee. I just had my motor completely rebuilt top and bottom. Once i had the motor back in and ready to go i started her up and she was running great. Put it through a heat cycle let it cool and started the next cycle. It was running good then sounded like it was starting to died, all of the sudden it started making a nasty clunking noise and died. Didnt try to kick it again because it didnt sound good at all and the motor was just rebuilt Now if i slowly push the kick start down slowly with my hand all i get is a clunking noise. i will try and add a video of the noise. Thanks for your help! http://http://youtu.be/1OisB9S46_U banshee clunking noise.mov
